We measured in a comet assay the damage of DNA in the hemocytes of various stages of the grasshopper schistocerca gregaria after ex-posing them to various doses of Cd and Pb in the food. The mechanisms of Cd and Pb toxicity for grasshopper are discussed. The accumula-tion of heavy metals and stage of the insect may play important roles in causing the DNA damage. s. gregaria may be considered a valuable bio-indicator for evaluation the genotoxicity of en-vironmental pollutants.

In this paper, we developed a new approach of an analytical model to calculate the radial and transversal components of the acceleration due to the effects of Earth’s albedo. Its effects on the orbital motion of an artificial satellite are introduced. It is assumed that the satellite’s horizon is illuminated and the sun lies on the equator. The magnitudes of those components are obtained and their effects on orbital evolution have been tested for different satellites elements. The perturbations in orbital elements due to Earth’s albedo have been obtained using Lagrange Planetary equation in Gaussian form, in particular the case of LAGEOs satellite, have been found using this new analytical formalism.

In the present work, the collinear equilibrium points of the restricted three-body problem are studied under the effect of oblateness of the bigger primary using an analytical and numerical approach. The periodic orbits around these points are investigated for the Earth-Moon system. The Lissajous orbits and the phase spaces are obtained under the effect of oblateness.

Introduction: Mucinous tubular and spindle cell carcinomas (MTsCC's) are recently described rare type of renal cell carcinoma (RCC). They may have morphological similarities to papillary RCC (papRCC) and in our case to carcinoma collecting ducts of Bellini. Case report: We report a rare case of renal tumor, mucinous tubular and spindle cell carcinoma in a 56-year-old woman. The tumor, located in the left kidney, was well circumscribed. MTsCC's are characterized by small, elongated tubules lined by cuboidal cells and/or cords of spindled cells separated by pale mucinous stroma. Discussion: MTsCC is a rare type of renal cell carcinoma. Pathologists should be aware of the histological spectrum of MTsCCs to ensure an accurate diagnosis. Careful attention to the presence of a spindle cell population may be helpful in the differential diagnosis in tumors with predominant compact tubular growth.

BACKGROUNDThere has been a worldwide increase in the reported incidence of inflammatorybowel disease (IBD) in children over the past 2-3 decades. The hepatobiliary (HB)manifestations of IBD have been well-studied in children in industrialized anddeveloped countries but are infrequently reported in low- and middle-incomecountries (LMIC) such as *** determine the prevalence of the HB manifestations in a cohort of Egyptianchildren with *** cross-sectional observational study was carried out over a period of 6 mo(between June 2013 to December 2013, at the Paediatric Hepatology andGastroenterology Units of Cairo University Children's Hospital, which is thelargest paediatric tertiary care centre in the *** study included 48 patients with confirmed IBD based upon clinical,laboratory, endoscopic and histopathological features, 29 (60.4%) were ***-four patients (50%) had ulcerative colitis (UC), 11 (22.9%) had Crohn'sdisease (CD) and 13 (27.1%) had unclassified-IBD (IBD-U), which was formerlyknown as indeterminate colitis. The mean age of the patients at the time ofpresentation was 8.14 (± sD 4.02) years and the mean age at the time of studyenrolment was 10.16 (± sD 4.19) years. All patients were screened for HBmanifestations by physical examination, liver function tests, imaging and liver biopsy when indicated. HB disorders were confirmed in 13 patients (27.1%).Transaminases were elevated in 3 patients (6.3%). Two patients (4.2%) hadelevated biliary enzymes (one was diagnosed as primary sclerosing cholangitis(PsC) and the other was diagnosed with PsC/autoimmune hepatitis overlapsyndrome and the third patient had hepatitis C virus infection. Introduction: Large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma (LCNEC) or non small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma the ovary is a rare entity and is frequently associated with ovarian surface epithelial tumors. However, its association with serous carcinoma is rarer, in our knowledge tree cases has been described in international literature and the first case in Moroccan literature. Case Report: A 54-year-old woman presented with a pelvic mass measuring 15 cm in diameter. she underwent an exploratory laparotomy with resection of the pelvic mass. Diffuse and nodular intra-abdominal disseminations were observed. Immunohistochemistry stain confirmed the diagnosis of large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma with serous carcinoma. The patient received three courses of carboplatin and paclitaxel and she's still alivewith a decline of 6 months. Its clinicopathologic association is discussed and the literature is reviewed. Conclusion: In summary, ovarian LCNEC is an aggressive tumor with a tendency to present at advanced stage and cause death within a mean of 17 months after diagnosis;however, some patients, particularly those with stage I disease and/or those who have received platinum-based therapy, may have a more favorable prognosis.

Obesity in Relation to Ovarian Response in IVF Treatment

Introduction: The effect of Body Mass Index (BMI), which reflects the woman’s obesity, in IVF treatment cycle, remains unclear. In 1997, the World Health Organization (WHO) provided authoritative refinements to the over-weight terminology and BMI cutoffs [1]. Objective: To verify the relationship between BMI and ovarian response in IVF treatment cycle. Design: Retrospective study. Materials & Methods: The study includes 2625 IVF treatment cycles performed in our IVF center in the period of 4 years. Patients were divided into five groups using the WHO criteria according to their BMI [2]. Cancellation rate, mean last E2 before hCG administration, mean endometrial thickness, mean duration of stimulation, number of eggs retrieved, fertilization rate, pregnancy and abortion rates were analyzed. The unpaired t-test was used in statistical analysis. Results: There was statistically significant less mean oestradiol level prior to hCG, less endometrial thickness and less number of simulation days as BMI gets higher. In contrast, there was a positive relationship between cancellation rate and higher BMI except with BMI >39 which was not, possibly due to lower number of patients available. But if we look at the cause of cancellation, it was 100% due to insufficient number of follicles obtained for this group (BMI >39). Also, days of stimulation are significantly lower for the same group of patients in comparison with the other groups. Retrieval, fertilization and pregnancy rates were not significant between all groups. Abortion rate gets significantly higher as BMI increased. Conclusion: Overweight affects ovulation, if we consider the cause of cancellation being insufficient number of follicles reflects the poor response. The fertilization and pregnancy rate were not affected once oocytes retrieved. The reduction of weight is an important part of infertility treatment in obese women with regards to the ovarian response and abortion rate in IVF cycle.

Introduction: signet ring cell carcinoma is a rare tumor that generally originates in the gastrointestinal tract. signet-ring cell carcinoma of the ampulla of Vater is extremely uncommon and a very rare clinical entity, which is infrequently reported in medical literature and only 31 cases have been mentioned. Most tumors affecting Vater’s Ampulla are adenocarcinomas and other histological variants are less frequent. It mainly occurs in elderly patients. Case Presentation: We report a case of signet ring cell carcinoma of Vater’s Ampulla. The tumour had infiltrated the duodenal, but local lymph nodes were clear (T3N0M0). Duodenopancreatectomy with pylorus preservation is the treatment of choice. Conclusions: Etiology and survival are not well-defined in the literature due to the extreme rarity of this disease.

Background Understanding children’s feeding practices and eating behaviors is important to determine etiology of childhood *** study aimed to explore the relationship between early feeding practices,eating behavior and body composition among primary school *** The data were collected from 403 primary school *** were administered structured questionnaire,including sociodemographic characteristics,early feeding practices and Child’s Eating Behavior *** and blood pressure(BP)measurements were *** Children with obesity and overweight showed higher food approach subscales and lower food avoidance subscales compared to a healthy and underweight *** who were exclusively or predominantly breast fed during the frst 6 months had the lowest scores for the food approach subscales,food responsiveness(FR)and emotional overeating(EOE)and had the highest scores for the food avoidance subscales,satiety responsiveness(sR)and emotional under eating(EUE).Children who were introduced solid food after 6 months showed lower scores for FR,enjoyment of food and EOE but scored highest for sR,slowness in eating(sE)and *** anthropometric measurements were positively correlated with all food approach subscales and negatively with sE,sR and food *** food approach subscales were positively correlated with BP *** food avoidance subscales were negatively correlated with both BP percentiles,except for EUE,which was negatively correlated with diastolic BP percentile ***,sR,sE and FR were predictors for child body mass *** Early feeding practices and eating behavior are considered as prevention approaches for obesity.

Primary Health Care services sector (PHCss) of Dubai Health Authority (DHA) provides many services dedicated to seniors. However, there have been no studies to date that consulted the seniors themselves regarding these services. Thus, this study was conducted to investigate the age-friendliness of outpatient clinic’s services provided in PHCss from perspective of elderly service recipients. Methods: Three focus groups were designed. The focus groups included receivers of care (senior patients and caregivers for senior patients) and healthcare providers (physicians, nurses, administrators and medical record officers). The discussed topics in the focus groups were based on WHO’s recommended three domains of improvement for an age-friendly Primary Health Care (PHC): Information, education and training, community-based health care management systems, and the physical environment.
