Effect of catheter radiofrequency ablation on C-reactive protein, brain natriuretic peptide and echocardiograph in patients with persistent and permanent atrial fibrillation

Background Radiofrequency catheter ablation （RFCA） for atrial fibrillation （af） has developed rapidly,and is a commonly performed ablation in many major hospitals throughout the world,due to its satisfactory *** aim of this study was to detect the effect of RFCA on C-reactive protein （CRP）,brain natriuretic peptide （BNP）,and echocardiograph in patients with persistent and permanent *** A total of 120 patients （71 males,mean age （50.8＆#177;12.0） years） with persistent and permanent af undergoing RFCA under guidance of the Carto merge technique were *** atrial diameter （LAD）,right atrial diameter （RAD）,left ventricular ejection fraction （LVEF）,CRP,and BNP were observed 3,6 and 12 months after RFCA and compared with results before *** recurrence of atrial arrhythmias was observed 3 and 12 months after the *** Compared with that before RFCA,LAD and RAD decreased and LVEF increased significantly after ***,the levels of CRP and BNP were reduced significantly at 3,6,and 12 months after RFCA （P〈0.05）.In the non-recurrent patients,LVEF was increased significantly compared with the recurrent patients at 3,6,and 12 months after RFCA （P〈0.05）.CRP and BNP levels were decreased significantly in the non-recurrent patients compared with the recurrent patients at 3,6,and 12 months after RFCA （P〈0.05）.after one or two applications of RFCA,during a follow-up of 12 months,12 patients （10.0%） had af,10 patients （8.3%） had atrial flutter,and 5 patients had atrial tachycardia （4.2%）.Conclusions Conversion of af to sinus rhythm by RFCA,has been shown to reduce LA size and improve *** can also significantly decrease the levels of CRP and BNP in patients with persistent and permanent af and reduce the risk of inflammation and developing heart failure.

Drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics(DMPK) is an important branch of pharmaceutical *** nature of ADME(absorption,distribution,metabolism,excretion) and PK(pharmacokinetics) inquiries during drug discovery and development has evolved in recent years from being largely descriptive to seeking a more quantitative and mechanistic understanding of the fate of drug candidates in biological *** progress has been made in the past decade,not only in the characterization of physiochemical properties of drugs that influence their ADME,target organ exposure,and toxicity,but also in the identification of design principles that can minimize drug-drug interaction(DDI) potentials and reduce the *** importance of membrane transporters in drug disposition,efficacy,and safety,as well as the interplay with metabolic processes,has been increasingly *** increases in investments on new modalities beyond traditional small and large molecule drugs,such as peptides,oligonucleotides,and antibody-drug conjugates,necessitated further innovations in bioanalytical and experimental tools for the characterization of their ADME *** this review,we highlight some of the most notable advances in the last decade,and provide future perspectives on potential major breakthroughs and innovations in the translation of DMPK science in various stages of drug discovery and development.

Aerodynamic roughness length is an important physical parameter in atmospheric numerical models and microme- teorological calculations, the accuracy of which can affect numerical model performance and the level of micrometeorological computations. Many factors influence the aerodynamic roughness length, but formulas for its parameterization often only con- sider the action of a single factor. This limits their adaptive capacity and often introduces considerable errors in the estimation of land surface momentum flux （friction velocity）. In this study, based on research into the parameterization relations between aerodynamic roughness length and influencing factors such as windrow conditions, thermodynamic characteristics of the sur- face layer, natural rhythm of vegetation growth, ecological effects of interannual fluctuations of precipitation, and vegetation type, an aerodynamic roughness length parameterization scheme was established. This considers almost all the factors that af- fect aerodynamic roughness length on flat land surfaces with short vegetation. Furthermore, using many years＇ data recorded at the Semi-Arid Climate and Environment Observatory of Lanzhou University, a comparative analysis of the application of the proposed parameterization scheme and other experimental schemes was performed. It was found that the error in the friction velocity estimated by the proposed parameterization scheme was considerably less than that estimated using a constant aero- dynamic roughness length and by the other parameterization schemes. Compared with the friction velocity estimated using a constant aerodynamic roughness length, the correlation coefficient with the observed friction velocity increased from 0.752 to 0.937, and the standard deviation and deviation decreased by about 20% and 80%, respectively. 为进一步了解离子注入过程对纳米晶体发光响应的损伤效果,研究了注入氢离子和氦离子对氧化锌纳米晶体光致发光(PL)特性的影响.首先在二氧化硅衬底上制备了直径为4 nm和9 nm的氧化锌纳米晶体薄膜,接着在室温下向生成的薄膜中注入氢离子和氦离子,并研究其PL响应变化.结果表明,与未注入离子的纳米晶体相比,注入氦离子导致缺陷PL发光增加,而当注入氢离子之后,缺陷发光大幅降低,表明氢原子对注入损伤有钝化作用.比较近谱带边沿(NBE)与缺陷发光之比发现,较大颗粒的纳米晶体其近谱带边沿与缺陷发光比在注入氢离子后增大,而在注入氦离子后降低.该规律同样适用于较小颗粒的纳米晶体,但其近谱带边沿与缺陷发光比在注入氢离子之后的增幅比大颗粒晶体的小得多.

BACKGROUND:Compared with risk data(e.g.,RR or OR),attributable fraction(af)provides more information on the formulation of policies and measures in the field of public ***,to date,existing af evidence is scarce for the relationship between temperature and the hospitalizations for ***:Our primary goal is to estimate the attributable burden of hospitalizations for SCZ related to cold and heat,***,to identify vulnerable populations due to heat and ***:Poisson generalized linear models combined with DLNMs were used to estimate the association between hospitalizations for SCZ and temperature from 2005 to *** minimum risk temperature(MRT) was used as a reference,to calculate the burden of disease caused by cold and ***:We found that the majority hospitalizations attributed to heat(70.9%).In different individual levels,men are more sensitive to heat exposure while women are more vulnerable to *** different age groups,the results showed that the attributable risk was slightly higher in the over-40 s than in the under-40 ***,under different marital conditions,it showed that the unmarried had a little higher attributional risk than the ***:We should pay attention to the impact of heat on hospitalizations for SCZ,especially in those over 40years old,men and *** research will provide a basis for policymakers to develop intervention strategies to minimize the impact of adverse temperatures on hospitalizations for SCZ,thereby reducing the burden of disease.

BACKGROUND:Some studies have discovered that low ambient temperatures were associated with increased risk of the incidence of ischemic *** the frequency of extreme weather events is increasing,few studies have studied the effects of cold wave on ischemic ***:The purpose of this study was to explore the association between cold waves and ischemic stroke onset and further to explore how this association was modified by cold spell characteristics and individual-level ***:A Poisson regression with a distributed lag nonlinear model was used to investigate the association between cold spells under 9 different definitions and daily admissions of ischemic stroke in2013-2015 in ***:By comparing the attribution risk and the results of the sensitivity analysis of different models,the local optimal cold spell was defined as the day between November to March when daily mean temperature was less than 10 th for 2 or more consecutive days(backward attributable risk fraction(b-af)=4.19%,95% empirical confidence intervals(e CI):0.87%,6.66%,backward attributable number(b-AN)=278).On the basis of optimal model,the single-day effect of cold waves on ischemic stroke occurred on 5 th day after exposure and continued until 17 th day,and the maximum effect appeared on the 5 th day with relative risk(RR)=1.050(95% confidence interval(CI)=1.008,1.094).The significant cumulative effect lasted from day 9 after exposure to cold spells to day *** maximum cumulative effect was observed on the 21 st day with RR=2.378(95% CI=1.304,4.337).The female and the young and middle-aged people were susceptible to the local cold ***:This study suggests that cold spell is a risk factor for ischemic stroke in Hefei,and there is a certain lag *** measures should be taken to protect susceptible populations during cold spell days,including women and young and middle-aged people.
