We prove that non-recursive base conversion can always be im.lem.nted by using a determ.nistic m.rkov process. Our paper discusses the pros and cons of recursive and non-recursive m.thods, in general. And we include a com.arison between non-recursion and a determ.nistic m.rkov process, proving that the m.rkov process is twice as efficient.

The BETA application-specific integrated circuit(ASIC)is a fully program.able chip designed to am.lify,shape and digitize the signal of up to 64 Silicon photom.ltiplier(SiPm.channels,with a power consum.tion of approxim.tely~1 m./*** to its dual-path gain,the BETA chip is capable of resolving single photoelectrons(phes)with a signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)>5 while sim.ltaneously achieving a dynam.c range of~4000 ***,BETA can provide a cost-effective solution for the readout of SiPm. in space m.ssions and other applications with a m.xim.m.rate below 10 *** this study,we describe the key characteristics of the BETA ASIC and present an evaluation of the perform.nce of its 16-channel version,which is im.lem.nted using 130 nm.*** ASIC also contains two discrim.nators that can provide trigger signals with a tim. jitter down to 400 ps FWHm.for 10 *** linearity error of the charge gain m.asurem.nt was less than 2%for a dynam.c range as large as 15 bits.

Biodegradable nanoparticles such as chitosan nanoparticles (CSNPs) are used in sustainable agriculture since theyavoid dam.ge to the environm.nt;CSNPs have positive effects such as the accum.lation of bioactive com.oundsand increased productivity in plants. This study aim.d to investigate the im.act of applying CSNPs on lettuce,specifically focusing on enzym.tic activity, bioactive com.ounds, and yield. The trial was conducted using a com.letelyrandom.zed design, incorporating CSNPs: 0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.4, and 0.8 m. m.−1. The doses of 0.4 m. m.−1im.rove yields up to 24.6% increases and 0.1 m. m.−1 of CSNPs increases total phenols by 31.2% and antioxidantcapacity by 34.6%. In addition, when low concentrations of CSNPs (0.05 and 0.1 m. L−1) were applied, anincrease in catalase was determ.ned. The CSNPs represent a good alternative to be used as a biostim.lant in sustainableagriculture because they im.rove the yield and quality of lettuce by increasing the bioactive com.ounds.

In dye-photocatalysis, widening the wavelengths absorption range of catalysts as well as aborting the recom.ination of the photoexcited charge carriers(electrons-holes pairs) are of param.unt *** the current study, we report the photocatalytic characteristics of four com.ositions com.osed of TiO_(2),Ti_(0.97)Cu_(0.03)O_(2), Ti_(0.965)Cu_(0.03)la_(0.005)O_(2)and Ti_(0.96)Cu_(0.03)la_(0.01)O_(2)powders for two harm.ul dyes(Congo red and m.thylene blue). The X-ray diffraction technique verified the configuration of m.xed anatase and rutile phases in pure TiO_(2)and Ti_(0.97)Cu_(0.03)O_(2)powders while Ti_(0.965)Cu_(0.03)la_(0.005)O_(2)and Ti_(0.96)Cu_(0.03)la_(0.01)O_(2)powders possess anatase phase only. The changes of the band gap structure and dim.nsions of the unit cell volum. of TiO_(2)confirm.the substitution of Ti^(4+)sites by Cu^(2+)and la^(3+)ions. Rem.rkable widening of wavelengths absorption with form.tion of long absorption tails were found in TiO_(2)(3.13 e V) through insertion of la^(3+)plus Cu^(2+)ions. Ti_(0.965)Cu_(0.03)la_(0.005)O_(2)and Ti_(0.96)Cu_(0.03)la_(0.01)O_(2)sam.les exhibit a visible light band gap of 2.3 and 2.7 e V, respectively. Based on SEm.im.ges, incorporation of Cu^(2+)and la^(3+)ions influences the surface m.rphology of TiO_(2). The resulting Ti_(0.97)Cu_(0.03)O_(2), Ti_(0.965)Cu_(0.03)la_(0.005)O_(2)and Ti_(0.96)Cu_(0.03)la_(0.01)O_(2)powders present enhanced photocatalytic activity towards Congo red dye degradation com.ared to pure one under natural solar spectrum. The best Ti_(0.96)Cu_(0.03)la_(0.01)O_(2)catalyst exhibits superior photocatalytic activity of 96% for 10 ppm.CR dye in 20 m.n as well as above average photocatalytic efficiency of 63% for 30 ppm.CR dye in 120 m.n. As well, it showed acceptable photodegradation activity of 52% for 30 ppm.m. solution in 140 m.n of sunlight irradiation. Diet com.osition and its ecological drivers are rarely investigated in coexisting closely related *** used a m.lecular approach to characterize the seasonal variation in diet com.osition in four spiny lizard species inhabiting a m.untainous *** m.tabarcoding revealed that the lizards Sceloporus aeneus,***,***,and *** m.stly consum.d arthropods of the orders Hem.ptera,Araneae,Hym.noptera,and *** terrestrial lizards *** and *** m.stly predated ants and spiders,whereas the arboreal–saxicolous *** and saxicolous *** largely consum.d grasshoppers and *** taxonom.c and phylogenetic diversity of the prey was higher during the dry season than the rainy season,likely because reduced prey availability in the dry season forced lizards to diversify their diets to m.et their nutritional *** and phylogenetic com.osition varied seasonally depending on the species,but only dietary com.osition varied with *** dietary turnover was greater in *** than in ***,suggesting site-specific seasonal variability in prey availability;no other differences am.ng species were ***,which lives at the highest altitude in our study site,displayed interseasonal variation in diet *** differences were correlated with the species’feeding strategies and elevational distribution,which likely contributed to the coexistence of these lizard species in the studied geographic area and beyond.
