Conventional Breeding and Molecular Markers for Blast Disease Resistance in Rice (Oryza sativa L.)

Monogenic lines,which carried 23 genes for blast resistance were tested and used donors to transfer resistance genes by crossing *** results under blast nursery revealed that 9 genes from 23 genes were susceptible to highly susceptible under the three locations(sakha,Gemmeza,and Zarzoura in Egypt);Pia,Pik,Pik-p,Piz-t,Pita,Pi b,Pi,Pi 19 and Pi ***,the genes Pii,Pik-s,Pik-h,Pi z,Piz-5,Pi sh,Pi 3,Pi 1,Pi 5,Pi 7,Pi 9,Pi 12,Pikm and Pita-2 were highly resistant at the same *** analysis confirmed the results,which divided into two groups;the first one included all the susceptible genes,while the second one included the resistance *** the greenhouse test,the reaction pattern of five races produced 100%resistance under artificial inoculation with eight genes showing complete resistance to all *** completely resistant genes:Pii,Pik-s,Piz,Piz-5(=bi2)(t),Pita(=Pi4)(t),Pita,Pi b and Pi1 as well as clustering analysis confirmed the *** the F1 crosses,the results showed all the 25 crosses were resistant for leaf blast disease under field ***,the results in F2 population showed seven crosses with segregation ratio of 15(R):1(s),two cross gave segregated ratio of 3 R:1 s and one gave 13:*** the identification of blast resistance genes in the parental lines,the marker K3959,linked to Pik-s gene and the variety IRBLKs-F5 carry this gene,which was from the monogenic *** results showed that four genotypes;sakha 105,sakha 103,sakha 106 and IRBLKs-F5 were carrying Pik-s gene,while was absent in the sakha 101,sakha 104,IRBL5-M,IRBL9-W,IRBLTACP1 and IRBL9-W(R)*** for Pi 5 gene,the results showed that it was present in sakha 103 and sakha 104 varieties and absent in the rest of the *** addition,Pita-Pita-2 gene was found in the three Egyptian genotypes(sakha 105,sakha 101 and sakha 104)plus IRBLTACP1 *** F2 generation,six populations were used to study the inheritance of blast resistance and s

Impact of intersection type and a vehicular fleet's hybridization level on energy consumption and emissions

A vehicle＇s energy consumption and emissions are two major constraints in sustainable development. Both of them have proportionally raised in recent decades with the exponential growth of world traffic demands. The reduction of road traffic-generated energy consumption and emissions have thus become unprecedentedly challenging and worth examining. This paper investigates energy consumption and environmental problems present at roundabout and signalized intersection to analyze the impact of the hybridization level＇s fleet and intersection type on vehicle consumption and pollution. Instantaneous fuel consumption and emission models coupled with simulation of urban mobility （sUMO） are in this study. The authors started with modeling energy consumption. Then, an emission model emissions from traffic （EMIT） was implemented to quantify vehicle emissions of CO2, CO and NOX. These models help investigate the influence of intersection type on energy consumption and environmental conditions. The authors implemented a signalized intersection and roundabout using sUMO. The input data are collected from the roundabout of sousse （Tunisia） using video data collection. since there is a lack of econometric models that emulate hybridized stream behavior near intersections, two energy consumption models for the roundabout and crossroad are developed using traffic flow and hybridization level as the input variables. Compared to crossroads, a roundabout can obtain more environmental improvements and substantial reductions in energy consumption and road traffic emissions.

Elliptic curve cryptography ensures more safety and reliability than other public key cryptosystems of the same key *** recent years,the use of elliptic curves in public-key cryptography has increased due to their complexity and *** kinds of substitution boxes are proposed to address the substitution process in the cryptosystems,including dynamical,static,and elliptic curve-based ***,elliptic curve-based s-boxes are based on prime field GF(p)but in this manuscript;we propose a new technique of generating s-boxes based on mordell elliptic curves over the Galois field GF(2n).This technique affords a higher number of possibilities to generate s-boxes,which helps to increase the security of the *** robustness of the proposed s-boxes against the well-known algebraic and statistical attacks is analyzed to classify its potential to generate confusion and achieve up to the mark results compared to the various *** majority logic criterion results determine that the proposed s-boxes have up to the mark cryptographic strength.

分析了建立高氯酸铵-端羟基聚丁二烯(AP-HTPB)固体推进剂松弛模量主曲线的三种不同方法(Williams-Landel-Ferry(WLF)方法、Arrhenius方法和基本的时间-温度叠加(TTs)方法)。通过不同温度(-40,+20,+76℃)和10%常应变下1380s的应力松弛试验得到了复合固体推进剂松弛模量。通过评估松弛模量,给出转移因子和松弛模量主曲线,最后通过确定系数(R^2)得出了最佳的拟合方法。结果表明,基本TTs方法可给出最佳拟合曲线,因为该方法不依赖外部材料常数和应用中的经验方程,而且该方法可以适用于任何黏弹性材料。但是,在应用有限元软件时,经常要求用材料常数来定义非线性黏弹性材料模型,这种情况下,目前研究结果表明,当给出合适的常数后,WLF和Arrhenius两种方法均可给出满意的结果,而且WLF方法更为准确,因此在AP-HTPB固体推进剂有限元分析中倾向于采用这种方法。

A Fully Adaptive Active Queue Management Method for Congestion Prevention at the Router Buffer

Active queue management(AQM)methods manage the queued packets at the router buffer,prevent buffer congestion,and stabilize the network *** bursty nature of the traffic passing by the network routers and the slake behavior of the existing AQM methods leads to unnecessary packet *** paper proposes a fully adaptive active queue management(AAQM)method to maintain stable network performance,avoid congestion and packet loss,and eliminate unnecessary packet *** proposed AAQM method is based on load and queue length indicators and uses an adaptive mechanism to adjust the dropping probability based on the buffer *** proposed AAQM method adapts to single and multiclass traffic *** simulation results over two types of traffic showed that the proposed method achieved the best results compared to the existing methods,including Random Early Detection(RED),BLUE,Effective RED(ERED),Fuzzy RED(FRED),Fuzzy Gentle RED(FGRED),and Fuzzy BLUE(FBLUE).The proposed and compared methods achieved similar results with low or moderate traffic ***,under high traffic load,the proposed AAQM method achieved the best rate of zero loss,similar to BLUE,compared to 0.01 for RED,0.27 for ERED,0.04 for FRED,0.12 for FGRED,and 0.44 for *** throughput,the proposed AAQM method achieved the highest rate of 0.54,surpassing the BLUE method’s throughput of *** delay,the proposed AAQM method achieved the second-best delay of 28.51,while the BLUE method achieved the best delay of 13.18;however,the BLUE results are insufficient because of the low ***,the proposed AAQM method outperformed the compared methods with its superior throughput and acceptable delay.

Face Recognition Based on Gabor Feature Extraction Followed by FastICA and LDA

Over the past few decades,face recognition has become the most effective biometric technique in recognizing people’s identity,as it is widely used in many areas of our daily ***,it is a challenging technique since facial images vary in rotations,expressions,and *** minimize the impact of these challenges,exploiting information from various feature extraction methods is recommended since one of the most critical tasks in face recognition system is the extraction of facial ***,this paper presents a new approach to face recognition based on the fusion of Gabor-based feature extraction,Fast Independent Component Analysis(FastICA),and Linear Discriminant Analysis(LDA).In the presented method,first,face images are transformed to grayscale and resized to have a uniform *** that,facial features are extracted from the aligned face image using Gabor,FastICA,and LDA ***,the nearest distance classifier is utilized to recognize the identity of the ***,the performance of six distance classifiers,namely Euclidean,Cosine,Bray-Curtis,Mahalanobis,Correlation,and Manhattan,are *** results revealed that the presented method attains a higher rank-one recognition rate compared to the recent approaches in the literature on four benchmarked face datasets:ORL,GT,FEI,and ***,it showed that the proposed method not only helps in better extracting the features but also in improving the overall efficiency of the facial recognition system.
