Synovial sarcomas are rare tumors which most often present in the distal extremities of young adults and children. There are unique clinicopathologic features of this tumor which lend themselves to multidiscipli- nary treatment and translational research. We present a case of a primarily cystic synovial sarcoma and pro- vide a thorough review of the available literature.

The thermomechanical fatigue behaviour of different high temperature alloys has been investigated and is under investigation respectively. The creep-fatigue behaviour of heat resistant steels was investigated by long-term service-type strain cycling tests simulating thermomechanical fatigue (TMF-) loading conditions at the heated surface of e.g. turbine rotors. Single-stage as well as three-stage cycles leads to similar results at the application of the damage accumulation rule. Life prediction which simulates typical combinations of cold starts, warm starts and hot starts has been established successfully for isothermal service-type loading and will be exceeded for thermomechanical loading. Long-term thermomechanical fatigue testing of Thermal Barrier coating systems show typical delamination damage. An advanced TMF cruciform testing system enables complex multiaxial loading.

commercial milking of sheep is a new agricultural industry in the United States starting approximately 30 yr ago. The industry is still small, but it is growing. The majority of the sheep milk is used in the production of specialty cheeses. The United States is the major importer of sheep milk cheeses with 50 to 60% of annual world exports coming to the United States during the past 20 yr. Therefore, there is considerable growth potential for the industry in the United States. The only dairy sheep research flock in North America is located at the Spooner Agricultural Research Station of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The research program started in 1993 and has been multifaceted; dealing with several areas important to commercial dairy sheep farmers. The East Friesian and Lacaune dairy breeds were compared and introduced to the industry through the research program. Both dairy breeds produced significantly more milk than traditional meat-wool breeds found in the U.S., but the two breeds differed in their production traits. East Friesian-cross ewes produced more lambs and slightly more milk than Lacaune-cross ewes whereas Lacaune-cross ewes produced milk with a higher percentage of fat and protein than East Friesian-cross ewes. Lactation physiology studies have shown that ewes with active corpora lutea have increased milk yields, oxytocin release during milking is required to obtain normal fat percentages in the milk, large udder cisterns of dairy ewes can allow for increased milking intervals, and short daylengths during late pregnancy results in increased milk yield. In the nutrition area, legume-grass pastures and forages with a higher percentage of legume will result in increased milk production. Grazing ewes respond to additional supplementation with increased milk yield, but it is important to match the supplement to the quality of the grazing. France is a country with 67 million inhabitants and is part of the European *** consumption in humans is higher in France as compared to the European average,especially in outpatient settings(1–2).The burden of antibiotic resistance is also high,as compared to the European average,with an estimated 5,500 deaths per year associated with multidrug-resistant bacterial infections(3).Encouraging results have,however,been observed over the last several years:antibiotic consumption in the community,in nursing homes and in hospitals showed a decreasing trend,as well as certain resistant bacteria,such as 3rd-generation cephalosporin-or fluoroquinolone-resistant Escherichia coli(1–2,4–5).The cOVID-19 pandemic has had a dramatic impact on antibiotic consumption and its long-term impact on antibiotic resistance is being carefully monitored(1).

There are many reported benefits to plants of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF),including positive plant biomass responses;however,AMF can also induce biomass depressions in plants,and this response receives little attention in the *** phenotyping(HTP)technology permits repeatedmeasures of an individual plant’s aboveground *** examined the effect on AMF inoculation on the shoot biomass of three contrasting plant species:a vegetable crop(tomato),a cereal crop(barley),and a pasture legume(Medicago).We also considered the interaction ofmycorrhizal growth responseswith plant-available soil zinc(Zn)and phosphorus(P)*** appearance of a depression in shoot biomass due to inoculation with AMF occurred at different times for each plant species;depressions appeared earliest in tomato,then Medicago,and then *** usually positive-responding Medicago plants were not responsive at the high level of soil available P *** growth responsiveness in all three species was also highly interactive with soil Zn supply;tomato growth responded negatively to AMF inoculation in all soil Zn treatments except the toxic soil Zn treatment,where it responded *** results illustrate how context-dependentmycorrhizal growth responses are and the value of HTP approaches to exploring the complexity of mycorrhizal responses.

The catalysis of the Hajos-Parrish reaction by cis-and trans-4,5-ethano-proline was explored experimentally and computationally with DFT(ωB97X-D and MN15)and DLPNO-ccSD(T).Both of the new catalysts are as active as proline or cis-and trans-4,5-methano-proline,with the trans-ethano-proline being as enantioselective as proline.A thorough theoretical analysis of the electronic factors influencing catalysis is reported.

Background:There is no agreement of the influence of patent ductus arteriosus(PDA)on outcomes in patients with necrotizing enterocolitis(NEc).In this study,we assessed the infl uence of PDA on NEc ***:A retrospective study of 131 infants with established NEc was ***(death,disease severity,need for surgery,hospitalization duration),as well as multiple clinical parameters were compared between NEc patients with no congenital heart disease(n=102)and those with isolated PDA(n=29).Univariate,multivariate and stepwise logistic regression analyses were ***:Birth weight and gestational age were significantly lower in patients with PDA[median(95%cI):1120 g(1009-1562 g),28.4 wk(27.8-30.5 wk)]than in those without PDA[median(95%cI):1580 g(1593-1905 g),32.4 wk(31.8-33.5 wk);Pc-attributable fatality was higher in NEc patients with PDA(35%)than in NEc patients without PDA(14%)[univariate odds ratio(OR)=3.3,95%cI:1.8-8.6,PcI:0.82-2.39,P=0.111].Significant independent predictors for nonsurvival within the entire cohort were advanced disease severity stage III(OR=27.9,95%cI:7.4-105,PcI:1.7-19.4,Pconclusions:In patients with NEc,the presence of PDA is associated with an increased risk of ***,when important differences between the two study groups are controlled,only birth weight and disease severity may independently predict mortality.
