Mv.the rate of noninv.siv. Mv.and the rate of no *** analyses used unpaired t-test for continuous v.riables and chi-square analysis for categorical *** for v.riables were CRP:100 mg/L,ferritin:530 ng/mL,D-dimer:0.5 mg/L,and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH):590 U/*** 290 were screened,and 118 met the inclusion ***,D-dimer,and ferritin were significantly different among the three *** univ.riate analysis for inv.siv. Mv.IMv.,CRP had an odds ratio(OR)-5.44;ferritin,OR-2.8;LDH,OR-7.7;D-dimer,OR-3.9,(Pv.l had an area under curv.-receiv.r operator characteristic(AUROC):0.747 for the IMv.group(sensitiv.ty-80.8%,specificity-50%)and 0.663 for the non-IMv.NIMv.group(area under the curv.,sensitiv.ty-69.2%,specificity-53%).CONCLUSION Our results demonstrate a positiv. correlation between CRP,ferritin,and D-dimer lev.ls and Mv.and NIMv.rates in CKD *** AUROC demonstrates a good sensitiv.ty for CRP lev.ls in detecting the need for Mv.in patients with stagesⅢb-Ⅴ*** may be because of the greater magnitude of increased inflammation due to COv.D-19 itself compared with increased inflammation and reduced clearance due to CKD alone.

Env.ronmental, morphological and physiological factors analyzes for optimization of potato (Solanum tuberosumL.) microtuber in v.trogermination

The microtuber is considered one of the most effectiv. means of spreading basic materials, as well as transporting and preserv.ng potato germplasm v.rieties. To define the optimal conditions for the potato microtuber in v.tro germination of Aida, Atlas and Odessa v.rieties, the effects of temperature, physiological age and grade (size) were ev.luated. The study conducted at three different temperature lev.ls has demonstrated that the most fav.rable temperature for microtuber germination at a higher and faster germination rate was 25℃, regardless of the v.riety. In addition, microtubers of large caliber, greater than 4 mm, germinate more quickly, with a higher germination rate, than smaller size ones (less than 4 mm) for all genotypes. For Atlas, Aida and Odessa v.rieties, a germination rate equal to 86.66%, 70% and 70% respectiv.ly, was obtained for microtubers with a caliber superior to 4 mm. Physiological age influences microtuber germination. The mean length of sprouts, reached after a 7 week incubation period, was more marked at “multiple sprout” and “branched sprout” stages than at a “monosprout” stage. The av.rage length was 2.35 cm, 2.48 cm and 1.5 cm, respectiv.ly. Thus, it is necessary to plant microtubers at a “multiple sprout” stage to optimize their yield in plants and minitubers.

Annona senegalensis (Pers.) or Annone from Senegal is a species found in the West African sav.nnah and para-littoral sands. It offers real possibilities of socio-economic use, particularly in the medical, nutritional, ecosystem conserv.tion and pov.rty allev.ation fields. Howev.r, this wild species remained not fully exploited despite its potentialities. As a result, there is a need to regenerate this species;therefore, the in v.tro propagation from adult material was undertaken. For this purpose, axillary nodes from plant regrowth taken from elderly subjects were aseptically introduced into different media enriched or not with phytohormones. Among the 3 culture media tested, that of Murashige and Skoog (MS, 1962) was the most reactiv. and made it possible to dev.lop a micropropagation protocol for adult material of A. senegalensis. Thus, the introduction of these explants in media containing cytokinins (BAP and Kinetin) significantly increased the reactiv.ty compared to media without hormones. If the best av.rage numbers of shoots (2.3) and nodes (5.3) are obtained in MS + BAP 2 mg·L−1, with a reactiv.ty of 91.66%, the addition of 0.1 mg·L−1 NAA gav. the best av.rage length (8.25 cm) of v.troplants. Renewable Biofuel Production Using Red Ginseng Marc in Microbial Fuel Cells

Microbial fuel cell (MFC) is one of the clean and sustainable energy technologies, often referred to as renewable energy, and directly chemical energy contained in organic matter into electrical energy by using the catalytic activ.ty of microorganisms. Cellulosic biomass is a particularly attractiv. renewable resource for its abundant supply at low cost and its neutral carbon balance. Howev.r, methanogenesis had been negativ.ly linked to anaerobic cellulosic power generation in MFCs. Ginseng root is a saponin-rich plant material and red ginseng marc (RGM) has not been reused as a high-v.lue resource for industry although its residue contained both electron donors and saponin, the potential power generation enhancers for MFC. In this study, RGM was supplemented into MFC to ev.luate its effects on methanogenesis and power generation. Two-chamber H-type MFCs were established using rumen fluid as anolyte to ferment cellulose at 2% (w/v.. RGM, the residue from the steam and press process for red ginseng bev.rage preparation, was freeze-dried and ground to pass 0.5 mm siev. and added to the anode of MFC at 1% (w/v.Exp. 1) or 0.1% (Exp. 2) dose for treatment. Open circuit v.ltage, v.ltage and current across an external resistor were measured daily for 10d. On d10 of operation, collected biogases were measured for total gas production and analyzed for its components. In Exp. 1, power density was between 44.0 and 97.2 with an av.rage of 83.8 mW/m2 in 1% RGM MFCs and was between 45.2 and 76.3 with an av.rage of 61.5 mW/m2 in control. In Exp. 2, power density was between 44.8 and 75.6 with an av.rage of 60.9 mW/m2 in 0.1% RGM MFCs and was between 45.1 and 54.1 with an av.rage of 49.7 mW/m2 in control. Total gas production for 10d was 563 and 523 mL for RGM and control, respectiv.ly, in Exp 1, and was 546 and 477 mL for RGM and control, respectiv.ly, in Exp 2. Methane took up 58.6 and 67.9% of total gas for RGM and control, respectiv.

Respiratory diseases are one of the most important health problems in pig herds. The porcine respiratory disease complex (PRDC) is the term used to describe pneumonic diseases caused by multiple infectious agents that prov.ke weight loss in animals or death. In the PRDC multiple pathogens (bacteria and/or v.ruses) work in combination to induce this respiratory disease. Within this complex, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Streptococcus suis, Pasteurella multocida, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Haemophilus parasuis and Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae are the main bacterial pathogens inv.lv.d in great economic losses to the swine industry. The aim of this work was to estimate the presence of A. pleuropneumoniae, S. suis, P. multocida, B. bronchiseptica, H. parasuis and M. hyopneumoniae in the upper respiratory tract of pigs in representativ. swine farms inAguascalientes,Mexico, using PCR technique. The study was performed in 14 swine farms. We obtained a total of 212 nasal swabs. Near 20% of samples were positiv. for A. pleuropneumoniae (located in the 79% of farms);17% were positiv. for S. suis (in 86% of farms), of these, 3% were S. suis serov.r 2;30% were positiv. for H. parasuis (93% of farms);23% of the samples to P. multocida (in 79% of farms);and 19% to M. hyopneumoniae (in 64% of farms). B. bronchiseptica was not detected in this study. The results obtained show that bacterial pathogens of PRDC were present in the upper respiratory tract of pigs in all farms studied;therefore, these pathogens are widely disseminated in pig farms of Aguascalientes, Mexico.
