Green and sustainably designed intercalation-type anodes for emerging lithium dual-ion batteries with high energy density

Lithium dual-ion batteries(LiDIBs)have attracted significant attention owing to the growing demand for modern anode materials with high energy ***,rust encapsulated in graphite was achieved by utilizing ammonium bicarbonate(ABC)as a template,which resulted in mesoporous Fe3O4embedded in expanded carbon(Fe3O4@G(ABC))via simple ball milling followed by *** self-assembly approach for graphite-encapsulated Fe3O4composites helps enhance the electrochemical performance,such as the cycling stability and superior rate stability(at 3 A/g),with improved conductivity in Li ***,Fe3O4@G-1:4(ABC)and Fe3O4@G-1:6(ABC)anodes in a half-cell at 0.1 A/g delivered initial capacities of 1390.6 and 824.4 mA h g^(-1),*** optimized anode(Fe3O4@G-1:4(ABC))coupled with the expanded graphite(EG)cathode in Li DIBs provided a substantial initial specific capacity of 260.9 mA h g^(-1)at 1 A/g and a specific capacity regain of 106.3 mA h g^(-1)(at 0.1 A/g)after 250 cycles,with a very high energy density of 387.9 Wh kg^(-1).The strategically designed Fe3O4@G accelerated Li-ion kinetics,alleviated the volume change,and provided an efficient conductive network with excellent mechanical flexibility,resulting in exceptional performance in Li *** postmortem analyses of the anode and cathode(XRD,Raman,EDS,and XpS)are presented to explain the intercalation-type electrochemical mechanisms of Li *** study offers several advantages,including safety,low cost,sustainability,environmental friendliness,and high energy density.

hand transplanting of vegetable seedlings is always been a time consuming and labourious activity which often leads to muscular *** of hitech instrumentation increased to achieve precision and automation in agricultural *** present the transplanting is done manually which accounts for large amount of hand labour and *** ensure precision and timeliness in operation,an automatic transplanting based on embedded systemfor use in seedling transplanters was *** developed systemconsists of feed roller,pro-tray belt,a pair of L-shaped rotating fingers,embedded system,DC and stepper *** plug seedlings were released into the furrow with use of developed embedded system by actuating DC as well as stepper *** performances of the developed system was tested rigorously at four different operating speeds(1.0,1.5,2.0 and 2.5 km/h)and three angles of pro-tray feed roller(00,300,450)for attaining optimum plant to plant spacing in soil *** result indicated that percent transplanting and plant to plant spacing was found optimum at 2.0 km/h forward speed and 300 angle of pro-tray feed *** average plant spacing,transplanting efficiency,furrow closer,angle of inclination and miss planting were 600 mm,91.7%,90.3%,18.30 and 2.1%,*** developed system ensures the precision by sigulating the placement of seedlings at optimumspacing for sustainable agriculture *** also enabled the optimumtransplanting rate,the ability to transplant at higher speeds and maintaining proper plant to plant spacing.

Thermochemical Conversion of Coal and Coal-Biomass Blends in an Autothermal Moving Bed Gasifier: Experimental Investigation

A unique laboratory scale auto-thermal moving bed gasifier was designed for studying the thermochemical conversion of coal-biomass blends. For this purpose, two coals (lignite and sub-bituminous), two biomass materials (corn stover and switchgrass), and their respective blends were used. Gasification characteristics of the fuels were evaluated with an emphasis on improving the producer gas composition. The efficiency and product gas compositions reveal that utilizing the inner stainless-steel tubing better promotes heat transfer upwards in the axial direction when compared to utilizing quartz insulation. The H2/CO ratio at the same operating conditions is much higher due to the increase in bed temperature and heat transfer upwards in the axial direction. This improved the overall efficiency by at least 20%. Using pure oxygen and steam, efficiency greater than 50% was obtained for blends with corn stover at steam to oxygen ratio of 2:1. Also, using air as the gasifying agent greatly improved the H2/CO ratios and overall efficiency in blends with corn stover. In contrast, blends with switchgrass were not very effective with respect to the overall gasification characteristics. Blending switchgrass with coal may not be viable option from the viewpoint of generating high quality producer gas for downstream operations.

AIM： To investigate the changing pattern of different histological parameters occurring in the stomach tissue of helicobacter pylori （h pylori） infected tribal populations and duodenal ulcer patients among ethnic Bengalis and correlation of the genotypes of h pylori with different histological parameters. METhODS： One hundred and twelve adult individuals were enrolled into this study between 2002 and 2004. Among them, 72 had clinical features of duodenal ulcer （DU） from ethnic Bengali population and 40 were asymptomatic ethnic tribals. Endoscopic gastric biopsy samples were processed for histology, genotyping and rapid urease test. histologically, haematoxylin and eosin staining was applied to assess the pathomorphological changes and a modified Giemsa staining was used for better detection of hpylori. For intestinal metaplasia, special stainings, i.e. Alcian blue periodic acid-Schiff and high iron diamine-Alcian blue staining, were performed. pCR was performed on bacterial DNA to characterize the presence or absence of virulence-associated genes, like cagA, and distribution of different alleles of vacA and iceA. RESULTS： Intraglandular neutrophil infiltration, a hallmark of activity of gastritis, was present in 34 （94%） of tribals （TRs） and 42 （84%） of DU individuals infected with h pylori. Lymphoid follicles and aggregates, which are important landmarks in h pylori infection, were positive amongst 15 （41%） of TRs and 20 （40%） of DU subjects. Atrophic changes were observed in 60% and 27.7%, respectively, among DU cases and tribals （p 〉 0.003）. Metaplastic changes were detected in low numbers in both groups. Moderate to severe density distribution of hpylori in the gastric mucosa was 63% among TRs, whereas it was 62% in DU subjects. There were no significant differences in the distribution of virulence-associated genes like cagA, vacA and iceA of h pylori strains carried by these two populations. Solar Energy System with Digital Controller for Grid Connected Systems

--The solar photovoltaic （pV） module output voltage changes according to the variation of light intensity and temperature. This paper presents the implementation of an automatic digital controller of a DC-DC boost converter without batteries for a solar cell module by using a peripheral interface controller, which forms a closed loop, to control the ON-OFF period of the switching pulse. The output of DC-DC converter is maintained by automatically increasing or decreasing the pulse width. To produce the pulse width modulation （pWM）, the microcontroller is programmed according to the required duty cycle for the power switch. The pWM ON period is increased with the decrease in the pV voltage and vice-versa. The input voltage to the inverter is maintained constantly and is converted into an AC signal by using the metal-oxide-semiconductor field effect transistor （MOSFET） h-bridge operated in the sinusoidal pulse width modulation mode by using a pIC （peripheral interface controller） microcontroller. The generated AC signal can be connected to the AC grid or to the AC load. The simulated results by using proteus 8 and hardware implemented results verify the effectiveness of the proposed controller.
