Using Multivariable Linear Regression Technique for Modeling Productivity Construction in Iraq

Productivity is a very important element in the process of construction project management especially with regard to the estimation of the duration of the construction activities, this study aims at developing construction productivity estimating model for marble finishing works of floors using Multivariable Linear Regression technique (MLR). The model was developed based on 100 set of data collected in Iraq for different types of projects such as residential, commercial and educational projects. Which these are used in developing the model and evaluating its performance. Ten influencing factors are utilized for productivity forecasting by MLR model, and they include age, experience, number of the assist labor, height of the floor, size of the marbles tiles, security conditions, health status for the work team, weather conditions, site condition, and availability of construction materials. One model was built for the prediction of the productivity of marble finishing works for floors. It was found that MLR have the ability to predict the productivity for finishing works with excellent degree of accuracy of the coefficient of correlation (R) 90.6%, and average accuracy percentage of 96.3%. This indicates that the relationship between the independent and independent variables of the developed models is good and the predicted values from a forecast model fit with the real-life data.

Effects of Potassium Humate Fertilizers and Irrigation Rate on Potato Yield and Consumptive Use under Drip Irrigation Method

The current study was carried out at Agricultural College, University of Baghdad in the vegetable farm, Department of Horticulture during 2013 spring growing season. Yield response to irrigation of different crops is of major importance in production planning where water resources are limited. This study aims to determine the effect of different irrigation treatment （deficit irrigation） and potassium humate fertilizer on yield, content of nitrogen, potassium, and phosphor in tuber of potato and water use efficiency in the Abu-Graib Region, Iraq. Potato was grown under drip irrigation with three treatments： irrigation applied when evaporation 75%, 100% and 125% from pan A, and three potassium humate fertilizers： 0, 1.2 and 2.4 kg/ha with three times additions. The seasonal potato evapotranspiration ranged from 267 mm to 372 mm. The drip irrigation treatment had significant effecting tuber yield of potato recorder 29,530, 27,630 and 24,880 kg/ha for 125%, 100% and 75% from pan A evapotranspiration, respectively. Humus fertilizers addition has the lowest value of ETa 309 mm and maximum value of yield 2,930 kg/ha. Water use efficiency （WUE） and irrigation water use efficiency （IWUE） values increased with increasing humus fertilizers, recording 9.92, 14.52, 8.59, 12.42 and 7.51, 10.70 kg/m3 for potassium humate K3 （2.4 kg/ha）, K2 （1.2 kg/ha） and KI （0.0 kg/ha）, respectively. Plants irrigated with 125% from class pans A evaporation, produced a significant increase in N, P and K content in tubers recorder 0.96%, 0.58% and 1.52%, respectively. Potassium humus-fertilizer significant differences among K1, K2 and K3 on high of plants reached 41.52, 50.08 and 56.39 cm, respectively, number of stems/plant 2.69, 3.22 and 3.78, respectively, leaves area index recorder 2.80, 3.35 and 3.73.

As for the affine energy, Edir Junior and Ferreira Leite establish the existence of minimizers for particular restricted subcritical and critical variational issues on BV(Ω). Similar functionals exhibit deeper weak* topological traits including lower semicontinuity and affine compactness, and their geometry is non-coercive. Our work also proves the result that extremal functions exist for certain affine Poincaré-Sobolev inequalities.

Early Paleoproterozoic Post-Collisional Basaltic Magmatism in Quanji Massif:Implications for Precambrian Plate Tectonic Regime in NW China

Basaltic magmas can provide important information about mantle source nature,tectonic settings and tectonic evolution for a given *** paper reports geology,petrography and geochemistry of whole-rock major and trace elements and Nd-Sr isotopes for a suite of garnet amphibolites from southeastern Wulan(Ulan),Quanji Massif,northwestern *** garnet amphibolites were likely generated from basaltic lavas,associated with both paragneisses and orthogneisses of the lower Delingha *** basaltic protolith of these amphibolites can be broadly constrained to be formed at~2.33 Ga in an extensional setting *** geochemistry of amphibolites shows subalkaline and highly evolved *** display high-Fe low-Ti characteristics,with TFeO of 13.1 wt.%-17.9 wt.%and TiO_(2) of 1.42 wt.%-3.09 wt.%(in most samples TiO_(2)≤2.5 wt.%).The chondrite-normalized REE patterns show enrichment of LREE and LILE and the primitive-mantle-normalized incompatible element patterns display negative P,Ti,Nb-Ta and Zr-Hf ***(^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr)t values of 0.6978-0.7123 andε_(Nd)(t)values of-2.81-5.08 respond to depleted mantle model ages(T_(DM))of 2.33-3.30 *** suggest that the precursor magmas of the protolith of the garnet amphibolites were probably derived from the Early Paleoproterozoic depleted sub-continental lithospheric mantle that had been metasomatized by subduction-induced fluids and *** precursor basaltic magmas were contaminated by the older crustal components during magma *** post-collisional basaltic magmatic event at~2.33 Ga in Quanji Massif thus enhanced the subduction shutdown or slowdown tectonic regime both in NW China and coevally with those plate tectonics in some important domains worldwide during the Early Paleoproterozoic.

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection,a major public health problem,causes acute and chronic hepatitis that is often complicated by liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular *** pathogenic mechanisms of HBV-related liver disease are not well understood,and the current licensed therapies are not effective in permanently clearing virus from the *** recent years,the role of micro-ribonucleic acids (miRNAs) in HBV infection has attracted great *** miRNAs can influence HBV replication directly by binding to HBV transcripts and indirectly by targeting cellular factors relevant to the HBV life *** are also involved in the regulation of cellular genes and signaling pathways that have critical roles in HBV *** infection,in turn,can trigger changes in cellular miRNA expression that are associated with distinctive miRNA expression profiles depending on the phase of liver *** alterations in miRNA expression have been linked to disease progression and *** provide here an up to date review regarding the field of miRNAs and HBV interplay and highlight the potential utility of miRNAs as diagnostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets for the management of HBV-related liver disease.

Genome engineering and disease modeling via programmable nucleases for insulin gene therapy;promises of CRISPR/Cas9 technology

Targeted genome editing is a continually evolving technology employing programmable nucleases to specifically change,insert,or remove a genomic sequence of *** advanced molecular tools include meganucleases,zinc finger nucleases,transcription activator-like effector nucleases and RNA-guided engineered nucleases(RGENs),which create double-strand breaks at specific target sites in the genome,and repair DNA either by homologous recombination in the presence of donor DNA or via the error-prone non-homologous end-joining mechanism.A recently discovered group of RGENs known as CRISPR/Cas9 gene-editing systems allowed precise genome manipulation revealing a causal association between disease genotype and phenotype,without the need for the reengineering of the specific enzyme when targeting different ***/Cas9 has been successfully employed as an ex vivo gene-editing tool in embryonic stem cells and patient-derived stem cells to understand pancreatic beta-cell development and ***-guided nucleases also open the way for the generation of novel animal models for diabetes and allow testing the efficiency of various therapeutic approaches in diabetes,as summarized and exemplified in this manuscript.

Comparison of Aggressiveness Behavior of Chloride and Iodide Solutions on 304 and 304L Stainless Steel alloys

The aggressive effect of chloride anion in comparison to iodide anion on the pitting corrosion attack of 304 and 304L stainless steel (SS) alloys was investigated by using the cyclic potentiodynamic polarization test at 0.6 M Sodium Halide salts (NaX) solution and different temperatures. The two alloys 304 and 304L SS suffered from severe pitting corrosion at room temperature up to 50°C in a chloride containing solution with the higher resistance observed for 304L in comparison to the 304 while on pits were detected in iodide solution for both alloys. The pitting potentials of the two alloys in 0.6 M NaCl solution reduced with the increase of the temperature. Examination of the alloys’ surfaces was conducted by using the scanning electron microscopes where it revealed that the occurrence of pitting attack seems like hemispherical or irregular pits with different sizes.
