In this paper,we propose a new extension of the traditional Rayleigh distribution called the modified Kies Rayleigh *** new distribution contains one scale and one shape parameter and its hazard rate function can be increasing and *** mathematical properties of the new distribution are derived including quantiles and *** parameters of modified Kies Rayleigh distribution are estimated based on progressively Type-II censored *** this purpose,we consider two estimation methods,namely maximum likelihood and maximum product of spacing estimation *** compare the efficiency of the proposed estimators,a simulation study is carried *** show the applicability of the new model as well as the estimation methods,one real data for failure times of software is *** on the empirical parts,we can conclude that the proposed model can be considered as a good model in the field of life testing and reliability analysis compared with other competing models.

In this paper,the assumptions implicited in Leveque’s approximation are re-examined,and the variation of the temperature and the thickness of the boundary layer were illustrated using the developed *** defining a similarity variable,the governing equations are reduced to a dimensionless equation with an analytic solution in the entrance *** report gives justification for the similarity variable via scaling analysis,details the process of converting to a similarity form,and presents a similarity *** analytical solutions are then checked against numerical solution programming by FORTRAN code obtained via using Runge-Kutta fourth order(RK4)***,other important thermal results obtained from this analysis,such as;approximate Nusselt number in the thermal entrance region was discussed in detail.A comparison with the previous study available in literature has been done and found an excellent agreement with the published data.

Much of our daily tasks have been computerized by machines and sensors communicating with each other in *** is a reasonable risk that something could go wrong because there are a lot of sensors producing a lot of *** testing(CT)can be used in this case to reduce risks and ensure conformance to *** existing metaheuristic-based solutions aim to assist the test suite generation for combinatorial testing,also known as t-way testing(where t indicates the interaction strength),viewed as an optimization *** previous research,while helpful,only investigated a small number of interaction strengths up to t=*** lightweight applications,research has demonstrated good fault-finding ***,the number of interaction strengths considered must be higher in the case of interactions that generate large amounts of *** to resource restrictions and the combinatorial explosion challenge,little work has been done to produce high-order interaction *** this context,the Whale Optimization Algorithm(WOA)is proposed to generate high-order interaction *** ensure that WOA conquers premature convergence and avoids local optima for large search spaces(owing to high-order interaction),three variants of WOA have been developed,namely Structurally Modified Whale Optimization Algorithm(SWOA),Tolerance Whale Optimization Algorithm(TWOA),and Tolerance Structurally Modified Whale Optimization Algorithm(TSWOA).Our experiments show that the third strategy gives the best performance and is comparable to existing state-of-thearts based strategies.

Incorporation of silica into the goethite structure: a microscopic and spectroscopic study

Quartz and iron(hydr)oxide are reactive surface phases that are often associated with one another in soils and sediments. Despite the several studies on the coating of quartz with iron oxides, the reactivity of dissolved species(Si) leached from quartz with iron(hydr)oxides has received limited attention. In this study, goethite synthesized on quartz substrates were characterized using field emission scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction(XRD), transmission electron microscopy, and Fouriertransform infrared(FT-IR) spectroscopy. The SEM characterization revealed that bundles of thin parallel aligned goethite rods were formed at p H [ 10, while large pseudohexagonal crystals of twinned goethite needles were synthesized at p H B 10 after dehydration and hydration in the alkaline media. TEM analysis showed expanded and distorted lattice spacing of the crystal structure of iron(hydr)oxide due to silica incorporation. The characterization showed that silica increased the crystallite size of the goethite and transformed its acicular texture to a larger,twinned needle structure. FT-IR and XRD analyses revealed band shifts in crystal bonds as well as new bond formations, which indicate the presence of changes in the chemical environment of Fe–O and Si–O bonds. Thus, the presence of sorbed silicates modifies the crystal and lattice structure of goethite.

Fischer-Tropsch synthesis under supercritical phase condition was examined in a continuous and a high-pressure fixed bed reactor by employing a cobalt catalyst （Co-Ru/γ-Al2O3）. An integral reactor model involving Fischer-Tropsch reaction kinetics in the supercritical fluid n-hexane was used to describe the overall performance. On the basis of Langmuir-Hinshelwood-Hougen-Watson （LHHW） model, the reaction rate constants were obtained for the rate equations of CO conversion to CH4 formation under supercritical conditions.

Extensive production and use of organophosphate pesticide in agriculture,has risen concerned about its ecotoxicity and risk assessment of insecticides,which are more ***,the present investigation was aimed to study the induction of oxidative stress and DNA damage by organophosphate insecticide profenofos(PFF)in freshwater snail Lymnea luteola(***).The median lethal value(96 h LC50)of PFF was estimated as 1.26 mg/L for *** in a semi-static system and on the basis of LC50 value three concentrations viz.,0.126(1/10 of LC50,Sublethal I),0.63(1/2 of LC50,Sublethal II)and 0.84 mg/L(2/3 of LC50,Sublethal III)were *** were exposed to above-mentioned concentrations of PFF along with solvent control(acetone)and negative control for 96 *** haemolymph was collected at 24 and 96 h of after *** heamolymph of PFF exposed snail,lipid peroxide,glutathione reduced glutathione S transferase and superoxide dismutase activities at the tested concentrations significantly differ from those in the *** genotoxicity induced in hemocytes of treated snails was measured by alkaline single cell gel electrophoresis *** data of this experiment demonstrated significantly enhancement of oxidative stress and DNA damage in the treated snails as compared to ***,we observed statistically significant correlations of ROS with DNA damage(%tail DNA)(R^(2)=0.9708)for 24 h and DNA damage(R^(2)=0.9665)for 96 *** of the current experiment can be useful in risk evaluation of PFF among aquatic *** study confirmed the use of comet assay for in vivo laboratory experiments using freshwater snail for selecting the toxic potential of industrial chemicals and environmental contaminants.

Extracellular RNAs(exRNAs) are novel circulating factors that can be used as biomarkers in various diseases. Their unique and diverse kinds, as well as their role as biomarkers, make them significant biomarkers. There has been immense work carried out since the discovery of exRNAs in circulation and other biological fluids to catalog and determine whether exRNAs may be utilized as indicators for health and illness. In this review, we aim to understand the current state of exRNAs in relation to various diseases and their potential as biomarkers. We will also review current issues and challenges faced in using exRNAs, with clinical and lab trials, that can be used as viable markers for different diseases.

There are a few studies on the use of ferro-nanofluids for enhanced oil recovery,despite their magnetic properties;hence,it is needed to study the adsorption of iron oxide(Fe2 O3 and Fe3 O4) nanoparticles(NPs) on rock *** is important as the colloidal transport of NPs through the reservoir is subject to particle adsorption on the rock *** dynamics simulation was used to determine the interfacial energy(strength) and adsorption of Fe2 O3 and Fe3 O4 nanofluids infused in reservoir *** transform infrared spectroscopy and X-ray photon spectroscopy(XPS) were used to monitor interaction of silicate species with Fe2 O3 and Fe3 *** spectral changes show the variation of dominating silicate anions in the ***,the XPS peaks for Si,C and Fe at 190,285 and 700 eV,respectively,are less distinct in the spectra of sandstone aged in the Fe3 O4 nanofluid,suggesting the intense adsorption of the Fe3 O4 with the crude *** measured IFT for brine/oil,Fe2 O3/oil and Fe3 O4/oil are 40,36.17 and 31 mN/m,***3 O4 infused with reservoir sandstone exhibits a higher silicate sorption capacity than Fe2 O3,due to their larger number of active surface sites and saturation magnetization,which accounts for the effectiveness of Fe3 O4 in reducing IFT.
