Epidemiology and outcome of Crohn's disease in a teaching hospital in Riyadh

aiM: To know the epidemiology and outcome of Crohn's disease at King Khalid University Hospital, Riyadh, saudi Arabia and to compare the results from other world ***: A retrospective analysis of patients seen for 20 years (between 1983 and 2002). Individual case records were reviewed with regard to history, clinical, findings from colonoscopy, biopsies, small bowel enema, computerized tomography scan, treatment and ***: seventy-seven patients with Crohn's disease were revisited, 13% presented the disease in the first 10 years and 87% over the last 10 years. Thirty-three patients (42.9%) were males and 44 (57.1%) were females. Age ranged from 11-70 years (mean of 25.3+11.3 years). Ninety-two (92%) were saudi. The mean duration of symptoms was 26+34.7 mo. The mean annual incidence of the disease over the first 10 years was 0.32:100 000 and 1.66:100 000 over the last 10 years with a total mean annual incidence of 0.94:100 000 over the last 20 years. The chief clinical features included abdominal pain, diarrhea, weight loss,anorexia, rectal bleeding and palpable mass. Colonoscopic findings were abnormal in 58 patients (76%) showing mostly ulcerations and inflammation of the colon. Eighty nine percent of patients showed nonspecific inflammation with chronic inflammatory cells and half of these patients revealed the presence of granulomas and granulations on bowel biopsies. similarly, 69 (89%) of small bowel enema results revealed ulcerations (49%), narrowing of the bowel lumen (42%), mucosal thickening (35%) and cobblestone appearance (35%). CT scan showed abnormality in 68 (88%) of patients with features of thickened loops (66%) and lymphadenopathy (37%). seventy-eight percent of patients had small and large bowel disease, 16% had small bowel involvement and only 6% had colitis alone. The ability to make accurate energy predictions while considering all related energy factors allows production plants,regulatory bodies,and governments to meet energy demand and assess the effects of energy-saving *** energy consumption falls within normal parameters,it will be possible to use the developed model to predict energy consumption and develop improvements and mitigating measures for energy *** objective of this model is to accurately predict energy consumption without data limitations and provide results that are easily *** proposed model is an implementation of the stacked Long short-Term Memory(LsTM)snapshot ensemble combined with the Fast Fourier Transform(FFT)and *** and Berard’s Individual Household Electric-Power Consumption(IHEPC)dataset incorporated with weather data are used to analyse the model’s accuracy with predicting energy *** model is trained,and the results measured using Root Mean square Error(RMsE),Mean Absolute Error(MAE),Mean Absolute Percentage Error(MAPE),and coefficient of determination(R^(2))metrics are 0.020,0.013,0.017,and 0.999,*** stacked LsTM snapshot ensemble performs better than the compared models based on prediction accuracy and minimized *** results of this study show that prediction accuracy is high,and the model’s stability is high as *** model shows that high levels of accuracy prove accurate predictive ability,and together with high levels of stability,the model has good interpretability,which is not typically accounted for in ***,this study shows that it can be inferred.

Traffic flow prediction becomes an essential process for intelligent transportation systems(ITs).Though traffic sensor devices are manually controllable,traffic flow data with distinct length,uneven sampling,and missing data finds challenging for effective *** traffic data has been considerably increased in recent times which cannot be handled by traditional mathematical *** recent developments of statistic and deep learning(DL)models pave a way for the effectual design of traffic flow prediction(TFP)*** this view,this study designs optimal attentionbased deep learning with statistical analysis for TFP(OADLsA-TFP)*** presentedOADLsA-TFP model intends to effectually forecast the level of traffic in the *** attain this,the OADLsA-TFP model employs attention-based bidirectional long short-term memory(ABLsTM)model for predicting traffic *** order to enhance the performance of the ABLsTM model,the hyperparameter optimization process is performed using artificial fish swarm algorithm(AFsA).A wide-ranging experimental analysis is carried out on benchmark dataset and the obtained values reported the enhancements of the OADLsA-TFP model over the recent approaches mean square error(MsE),root mean square error(RMsE),and mean absolute percentage error(MAPE)of 120.342%,10.970%,and 8.146%respectively.

single-atom catalysts have high catalytic activity due to their unique quantum size effects and optimal atom ***,visi-ble-light-responsive photocatalysts were designed by coupling Cds with graphene quantum dots(GQDs)and platinum single atoms(PtsAs).GQDs and PtsAs were successively loaded on ultrathin Cds nanosheets through freeze-drying and in-situ photocatalytic *** synergistic effect between PtsAs and GQDs results in superior photocatalytic activity with a hydrogen production rate of 13488μmol h^(-1)g^(-1)as well as the maximum apparent quantum efficiency(AQE)of 35.5%in lactic acid aqueous solution,which is 62 times higher than that of pristine Cds(213μmol g^(-1)h^(-1)).The energy conversion efficiency is ca.13.05%.As a photosensitizer and an electron reservoir,GQDs can not only extend the light response of Cds to the visible-light region(400-800 nm),but also promotes the separation of photoinduced electron-hole ***,PtsAs,with unique electronic and geometric features,can provide more efficient proton reduction *** finding provides an effective strategy to remarkably improve the photocatalytic H_(2) production performance.
