Objective:To synthesize silver nanopaticles from leaves extract of Eucalyptus chapmaniana(***)and test the antimicrobial of the nanoparticles against different pathogenic bacteria,yeast and its toxicity against human acute promyelocytic leukemia(HL-60)cell ***:Ten milliliter of leaves extract was mixed with 90 mL of 0.01 mmol/mL or 0.02 mmol/mL aqueous AgNO_3 and exposed to sun light for 1 h.A change from yellowish to reddish brown color was *** using UV-vis spectrophotometery and X-ray diffraction analysis were *** activity against six microorganisms was tested using well diffusion method and cytoxicity test using 3-(4,5-Dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide,a yellow tetrazole was obtained on the human leukemia cell line(HL-60).Results:UV-vis spectral analysis showed silver surface plasmon resonance band at 413 nm.X-ray diffraction showed that the particles were crystalline in nature with face centered cubic structure of the bulk silver with broad beaks at 38.50°and 44.76°.The synthesized silver nanoparticles efficiently inhibited various pathogenic organisms and reduced viability of the HL-60 cells in a dose-dependent ***:It has been demonstrated that the extract of *** leaves are capable of producing silver nanoparticles extracellularly and the Ag nanoparticles are quite stable in *** studies are needed to fully characterize the toxicity and the mechanisms involved with the antimicrobial and anticancer activity of these particles.

The emergence of multimedia services has meant a substantial increase in the number of devices in mobile networks and driving the demand for higher data transmission *** result is that,cellular networks must technically evolve to support such higher rates,to be equipped with greater capacity,and to increase the spectral and energy *** with 4G technology,the 5G networks are being designed to transmit up to 100 times more data volume with devices whose battery life is 10 times ***,this new generation of networks has adopted a heterogeneous and ultra-dense architecture,where different technological advances are combined such as device-to-device(D2D)communication,which is one of the key elements of 5G *** has immediate applications such as the distribution of traffic load(data offloading),communications for emergency services,and the extension of cellular coverage,*** this communication model,two devices can communicate directly if they are close to each other without using a base station or a remote access ***,eliminating the interference between theD2Dand cellular communication in the *** interference management has become a hot issue in current *** order to address this problem,this paper proposes a joint resource allocation algorithm based on the idea of mode selection and resource *** results showthat the proposed algorithm effectively improves the systemperformance and reduces the interference as compared with existing algorithms.

Interactions of ciprofloxacin hydrochloride(CPFH)with sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS)were investigated by conductivity measurement in H2O/electrolyte solutions(NaCl,Na2SO4&Na3PO4)over 298.15–318.15 K temperature range(with 5 K interval)considering the human body *** all cases,two critical micelle concentrations(c*)were observed which are increased in the presence of drug and decreased in the presence of salts enunciating the presence of interaction amongst the studied ***(CPFH+SDS)system in the presence of salt,the c*values at 303.15 K and I=0.50 mmol·kg^-1 followed the order:CNaCl>CNa2SO4>***ΔG1,m0 andΔG2,m0values are found to be negative for all systems that show that the micellization process is thermodynamically ***(CPFH+SDS)system in water,theΔHm0&ΔSm0 values reveal that the micellization processes is both entropy dominated in almost all *** the occurrence of electrolytes,ΔHm0 andΔSm0 values indicate that micellization processes are both entropy&enthalpy restricted at upper temperature but it becomes totally entropy dependent at higher *** higher positiveΔSm0 values indicate the enhanced hydrophobic interaction in presence of *** enthalpy-entropy compensation was determined from the linear relationship betweenΔHm0 andΔSm0 values in every *** transfer energies as well as compensation temperature and intrinsic enthalpy were also evaluated and the behaviors were comparable to other biological system.

Pattern, Precipitants and Short Term Outcome of Heart Failure Patients Managed at Federal Medical Centre Nguru, a Tertiary Health Centre in Yobe State Northeastern Nigeria

Heart Failure (HF) is a syndrome characterized by typical symptoms (e.g. breathlessness, ankle swelling and fatigue) that may be accompanied by signs (e.g. elevated jugular venous pressure, pulmonary crackles and peripheral oedema) caused by a structural and/or functional cardiac abnormality, resulting in a reduced cardiac output and/or elevated intracardiac pressures at rest or during stress. Clinical studies investigating the aetiological patterns of heart failure in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) revealed that hypertension, cardiomyopathy and rheumatic heart disease account for more than two-thirds of cardiac disease cases. The objective of this study therefore is to assess the pattern, precipitating factors and short term outcome of heart failure among patients admitted into our hospital. Method: The study was a prospective cross-sectional type conducted among in patients with heart failure in the medical ward of the hospital. Results: A total of three and fifty four (354) subjects were recruited into the study, comprising one hundred and twenty nine males (36.4%) and two hundred and twenty five (63.4%) females. Majority of the patients were admitted in NYHA functional class IV. This however improved to class II at discharge though few were discharged in NYHA class III. Heart failure secondary to progressive hypertensive heart disease was the most common (39.0%) followed by peripartum cardiomyopathy (22.6%) while idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy (11.0%) and rheumatic heart disease (7.3%) were the third and fourth causes of heart failure respectively. The most common precipitating factor for heart failure in this study was chest infection (44.9%). In conclusion, the study revealed that progressive hypertensive heart disease was the leading cause of heart failure, followed by peripartum cardiomyopathy while idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy and rheumatic heart disease were ranked third and fourth causes of heart failure respectively. Background: Pre-eclampsia (PE), a complex, multisystem, pregnancy-associated hypertensive disorder, typically developing after the 20th week of gestation, that complicates 2% - 8% of pregnancies, is a leading cause of neonatal and maternal mortality and morbidity. Aim of the Work: To identify different factors predicting transformation of non-severe pre-eclampsia in to pre-eclampsia with severe features. Patients and Methods: This prospective cohort study was conducted at tertiary care hospital at Ain Shams University hospitals from June 2021 till January 2022 and performed on total of 100 patients who diagnosed as non-severe pre-eclampsia after exclusion of severity features. Results: The current study revealed that transformation to severe pre-eclampsia occurred in 33% of the studied cases. Body mass index (BMI), past and family histories of preeclampsia statistically were significantly higher in cases transformed into preeclampsia with severe features. Admission blood pressure, albumin dipstick, Oligohydramnios and IUGR statistically were significantly higher in cases with transformation from non-severe pre-eclampsia into pre-eclampsia with severe features. Platelet count statistically was significantly lower in cases with transformation from non-severe pre-eclampsia into pre-eclampsia with severe features Conclusion: Our study results identified the most important clinical risk factors for transformation to severe features of pre-eclampsia from non-severe features and provided new information on the level of risk associated with specific combinations of risk factors (BMI ≥ 35.4, admission systolic blood pressure, admission diastolic blood pressure, albumin dipstick 4+ and platelets count) with low significant diagnostic performance in predicting transformation from non-severe pre-eclampsia into pre-eclampsia with severe features.

With the latest advances in computing technology, a huge amount of efforts have gone into simulation of a range of scientific phenomena in engineering fields. One such case is the simulation of heat and mass transfer in capillary porous media, which is becoming more and more necessary in analyzing a number of eventualities in science and engineering applications. However, this procedure of numerical solution of heat and mass transfer equations for capillary porous media is very time consuming. Therefore, this paper pursuit is at making use of one of the acceleration methods developed in the graphics community that exploits a graphical processing unit (GPU), which is applied to the numerical solutions of such heat and mass transfer equations. The nVidia Compute Unified Device Architecture (CUDA) programming model offers a correct approach of applying parallel computing to applications with graphical processing unit. This paper suggests a true improvement in the performance while solving the heat and mass transfer equations for capillary porous radially composite cylinder with the first type of boundary conditions. This heat and mass transfer simulation is carried out through the usage of CUDA platform on nVidia Quadro FX 4800 graphics card. Our experimental outcomes exhibit the drastic overall performance enhancement when GPU is used to illustrate heat and mass transfer simulation. GPU can considerably accelerate the performance with a maximum found speedup of more than 5-fold times. Therefore, the GPU is a good strategy to accelerate the heat and mass transfer simulation in porous media.
