The potentials of silty clay(SC),acquired from Chaman,Balochistan,were investigated as adsorbent for Ni(Ⅱ)and Cd(Ⅱ)removal from contaminated *** influence of different operating factors like dose,pH,temperature,and time of contact was explored,and optimum values were noted under batch adsorption *** study was conducted with varying concentrations of solutions on optimized conditions and different adsorption models i.e.,Langmuir,Freundlich,Temkin and Dubinin-radushkevich(D-r)isotherm,which were employed to interpret the *** isothermal data of both Ni(Ⅱ)and Cd(Ⅱ)were well fitted to Langmuir isotherm suggesting the formation of monolayer of metal ions on silty *** values of adsorption capacity noted for Ni(Ⅱ)and Cd(Ⅱ)were 3.603 mg·g^-1 and 5.480 mg·g^-1,*** studies affirmed that pseudo second order(PSO)kinetics was being obeyed by the removal of Ni(Ⅱ)and Cd(Ⅱ).Thermodynamic variables like free energy change(ΔG°),enthalpy change(ΔH°)and entropy change(ΔS°)were *** negative value ofΔG°and the positive values ofΔH°andΔS°unfolded that the removal process of both metal ions of by SC was spontaneous,endothermic and feasible.

Objective:To evaluate the mosquito larvicidal activity of plant ***:The hexane,chloroform,ethyl acetate,acetone,and methanol leaf,flower and seed extracts of Abrus precatorius（***）,Croton bonplandianum（***）,Cynodon dactylon （***）,Musa paradisiaca（***） and Syzygium aromaticum（***） were tested against fourth instar larvae of Anopheles vagus（***）,Armigeres subalbatus （***） and Culex vishnui（***）.results:The highest larval mortality was found in seed ethyl acetate extracts of *** and leaf extracts of ***, flower chloroform and methanol extracts of ***,and flower bud hexane extract of S. aromaticum against *** with LC50 values of 19.31,39.96,35.18,79.90 and 85.90μg/mL;leaf ethyl acetate and methanol extracts of ***,flower methanol extract of ***, flower bud methanol extract of *** against *** with LC50 values of 21.67, 32.62,48.90 and 78.28μg/mL,and seed methanol of ***,flower methanol extract of ***,flower bud hexane extract of *** against *** with LC50 values of 136.84,103.36 and 149.56μg/mL,***:These results suggest that the effective plant crude extracts have the potential to be used as an ideal ecofriendly approach for the control of disease *** study provides the first report on the larvicidal activity of crude solvent extracts of different mosquitoes.

1, 3, 4-Oxadiazole derivatives(4 a–5 f) were previously synthesized to investigate their anticancer ***, studies relating to their antioxidant potential and signal transducer and activator of transcription(STAT) inhibition have not been performed. We investigated previously synthesized 1, 3, 4-oxadiazole derivatives(4 a–5 f) for various radical scavenging properties using several in vitro antioxidant assays and also for direct inhibition of STAT3 through molecular docking. The data obtained from various antioxidant assays such as 2, 2,-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical(DPPH), nitric oxide, hydrogen peroxide, and superoxide anion radical revealed that among all the derivatives, compound 5 e displayed high antioxidant activities than the standard antioxidant L-ascorbic acid. Additionally, the total reduction assay and antioxidant capacity assay further confirmed the antioxidant potential of compound 5 e. Furthermore, the molecular docking studies performed for all derivatives along with the standard inhibitor STX-0119 showed that binding energy released in direct binding with the SH2 domain of STAT3 was the highest for compound 5 e(-9.91 kcal/mol).Through virtual screening, compound 5 e was found to exhibit optimum competency in inhibiting STAT3 activity. Compound 5 e decreased the activation of STAT3 as observed with Western blot. In brief, compound5 e was identified as a potent antioxidant agent and STAT3 inhibitor and effective agent for cancer treatment.

The main purpose of this paper is to study generalized derivations in rings with involution which behave like strong commutativity preserving mappings. In fact, we prove the following result： Let r be a noncommutative prime ring with involution of the second kind such that char（r） ≠ 2. If r admits a generalized derivation F ： r → r associated with a derivation d ： r → r such that [F（x）,F（x＊）] - [x,x＊] = 0 for all x ∈ r, then F（x）= x for all x ∈ r or F（x） = -x for all x ∈ r. Moreover, a related result is also obtained.

Photocatalytic degradation of Bisphenol A （BPA）, a representative endocrine disruptor chemical, was carried out under irradiation of sunlight in the presence of CexZn1-xO nanophotocatalyst. Cerium （Ce） ions were successfully incorporated into the bulk lattice of ZnO by simple co-precipitation process. The CexZn1-xO composite nanostructures exhibited higher photocatalytic efficiency than pure ZnO in the degradation of BPA under sunlight irradiation and nearly complete mineralization of BPA was achieved. The degradation rate was strongly dependent on factors such as the size and structure of catalyst, doping material concentration, BPA concentration, catalyst load, irradiation time and pH levels. This work suggested that the CexZn1-xO assisted photocatalytic degradation is a versatile, economic, environmentally benign and efficient method for BPA removal in the aqueous environment.

Survival analysis of cholangiocarcinoma:A 10-year experience in Malaysia

AIM:To investigate the clinical features and survival of patients treated for cholangiocarcinoma in our institution and to analyze the factors affecting their ***:This retrospective cohort study assessed patients diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma between January 1997 and December 2007 at the University Malaya Medical Centre in *** clinical data and associated outcomes were collected using a structured ***:Of the 69 patients diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma,38 (55%) were male;mean patient age was 61 *** patients (17%) had intrahepatic,38 (55%) had perihilar and 19 (28%) had distal *** 12 patients underwent curative surgery,including seven r0 *** one patient died within 30 d after *** overall median survival was 4 mo,whereas the median survival of r0 resected patients was 16 *** overall 1-,2-and 3-year cumulative survival rates were 67%,17% and 17%,*** rates were significantly associated with curative resection (P=0.002),intrahepatic tumor (P=0.003),negative margin status (P=0.013),early tumor stage (P=0.016),higher tumor differentiation (P=0.032) and absence of jaundice (P=0.038).Multivariate analysis showed that tumor location was a significant independent predictor of patient ***:Curative,margin-negative resection of early stage,well-differentiated intrahepatic tumors is associated with improved patient survival.

The dissolution kinetics of a Nigerian chalcopyrite ore in hydrochloric acid was studied in this article. Acid concentration, reaction temperature, and ore particle size were chosen as experimental parameters. The chemical and morphological studies of the ore before and after leaching at optimal conditions were carried out by X-ray diffraction （XrD） and scanning electron microscopy （SEM）. It is revealed that increasing the acid concentration and system temperature and decreasing the ore particle size greatly enhances the dissolution rate. The dissolution kinetics was found to follow the shrinking core model for the diffusion control mechanism where the activation energy （Ea） of 32.92 ***1-1 was obtained for the process and supported by morphological changes at a higher dissolution of 91.33%.

We discuss the warm inflation in the presence of standard scalar field model and modified Chaplyggin gas in brahe-world scenario. We consider weak and strong dissipative regimes with generalized dissipative coefficient. We extract various inflationary parameters. For example, we analyze the behavior of different ratios （ratio of dissipative co-efficient and Hubble parameter Г/3H, ratio of temperature and Hubble parameter T/ H, scalar-to-tensor ratio ＇r） with respect to spectral index ns for the weak and strong dissipative regimes through parametric plotting. It is found that T/H and Г/3H satisfied the required conditions in both dissipative regimes. It is also noted that the spectral index （ns） ns=0.96＋0.10-0.10 It is remarked here that our results are consistence with observational data WMAP7, WMAP9, and recent Planck data.

Cyromazine（CYr） was determined in milk samples using copper（HI） chelate-Triton X-100 chemiluminescence（CL） system associated with flow-injection（FI） in KOH medium. The relative CL intensity for CYr concentration was linear over the range of 5×10^-4-10μg/mL（r2=0.9990, n=11） with injection rate of 160 h-1 and the relative standard deviation（rSD, n=4） of 1.2%-2.6%. The limit of detection（LOD） for signal-to-noise ratio of 3 was 1.5×10^4μg/mL. The influences of key chemical and physical parameters, some major fresh water ions at their maximum admissible concentrations and a number of pesticides were examined as potential interferences. The concentrations of CYr in spiked milk samples were successfully determined by the proposed method and the results were in good agreement with that of the previously reported HPLC method, having recovery range of （92% a=4%）-（106% a：2%）. The possible CL reaction mechanism for copper（m） chelate-Triton X-100-CYr was also briefly discussed.
