FPGA-based hardware-in-the-loop for multi-domain simulation

In this paper,we present a new approach for complex system design,which allows rapid,efficient and low-cost *** approach can simplify designing tasks and go faster from system modeling to effective hardware *** multi-domain systems requires different engineering competences and several tools,our approach gives a unique design environment,based on the use of VHdL-AMS modeling language and FPGA device within the same design *** approach is intended to enhance hardware-in-the-loop(HIL)practices with a more realistic simulation which improve the verification process in the system design *** paper describes the implementation of a software/hardware platform as a practical support for our approach,the feasibility and the benefits of this approach are demonstrated through a practical case study for power converter *** obtained results show that the developed method achieves significant speed-up compared with conventional simulation,with a minimum used resources and minimum latency.

With the WIEN2 k simulation code,ab initio calculations of electronic structure and of equilibrium properties for the superstoichiometric rare-earth dihydride GdH_(2.25)using the full-potential linearized augmented plane-wave(FP-LAPW)method within density functional theory(dFT)in generalized gradient approximation(GGA)were *** lattice parameter,bulk modulus,pressure derivative,density of states(dOS)and energy band structures were *** GGA-optimized lattice parameter agrees much better with the experimental findings than the local density approximation(LdA)*** non-negligible electronic dOS at Fermi level confirms that GdH_(2.25)has a metallic *** Fermi energy(E_(F))falls at a level where most of the states are rare-earth 5 d conduction states while negligible contributions of both interstitial(tetrahedral and octahedral)H s states are observed near *** is found that hybridization exists between s electronic orbital of both interstitial H atoms and d electronic orbitals of Gd.

In this work,the structure of 4-((2R)-2-(3,4-dibromophenyl)-1-fluorocyclopropyl)-N-(o-tolyl)benzamide(dBFB)has been determined at room temperature using single-crystal X-ray diffraction *** structure of the compound was solved using 1464 observed reflections with I≥2σ(I).It crystallizes in monoclinic space group P21 with a=20.0820(10),b=10.2770(10),c=4.860(2)?,β=95.9600(10)°,V=997.6(4)?3,Z=2,dc=1.675 g/m3,F(000)=500,Μr=503.18,μ=4.09 mm-1 and the final R=*** molecular packing of the title compound exhibits C–H???O and C–H???F hydrogen bonds forming a supramolecular ***,conformational analysis has been performed in order to confirm the most stable conformer of the title *** parameters of the keto conformer in the ground state have been obtained using density functional theory(dFT)method with B3LYP/6-31G(d,p)level of *** general,a good agreement between the calculated and experimental results was *** normal modes of vibration,molecular boundary orbitals(HOMO and LUMO),reactivity descriptors,Mullikan atomic charges and molecular electrostatic potential for the title compound have been evaluated and discussed.

UdNS or LES, That Is the Question

In the framework of the spectral element method, a comparison is carried out on turbulent first-and second-order statistics generated by large eddy simulation (LES), under-resolved (UdNS) and fully resolved direct numerical simulation (dNS). The LES is based on classical models like the dynamic Smagorinsky approach or the approximate deconvolution method. Two test problems are solved: the lid-driven cubical cavity and the differentially heated cavity. With the dNS data as benchmark solutions, it is shown that the numerical results produced by the UdNS calculation are of the same accuracy, even in some cases of better quality, as the LES computations. The conclusion advocates the use of UdNS and calls for improvement of the available algorithms.
