Impact of Early versus Late Amniotomy on Induction of Labor in nulliparous Women.a.ter Vaginally Administered Misoprostol: A Randomized Clinical Trial

Objective::To investigate the effect of early versus late amniotomy after induction of labor(IOL)with vaginally administered ***::This randomized clinical trial was conducted at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology,Menoufia University,from May 2019 to March 2020,and included 120 nulliparous women.a. term(≥37 weeks’gestation)undergoing ***-generated randomization was used to randomize the participants into either the early amniotomy group(3 cm cervical dilatation;n=60)or the late amniotomy group(7 cm cervical dilatation;n=60).All participants received misoprostol(25μg)vaginally to induce *** primary outcome was the induction-to-delivery interval,defined as the time from the initiation of IOL to the time of ***::Women in the early amniotomy group had a shorter duration of labor(12.60±5.36 h)than those in the late amniotomy group(16.67±7.26 h).The mean time from rupture of the fetal membrane to delivery was significantly shorter in the late(2.51±0.36 h)than in the early amniotomy group(3.1±0.89 h).There was no statistically significant difference between the groups in terms of maternal complications(fever,nausea,vomiting,and uterine hyperstimulation)or neonatal complications(meconium-stained liquor,APGAR scorend 5 min.a.d neonatal intensive care unit admission).Conclusions::IOL using vaginally administered misoprostol followed by early amniotomy was accompanied by a shorter duration of labor and decreased use of *** was no significant difference between the early and late amniotomy groups in terms of the rate of cesarean section or maternal and neonatal complications.

Evaluation of Actual Evapotranspiration.a.d Crop Coefficient in Carrot by Remote Sensing Methodology Using Drainage and River Water to Overcome Reduced Water Availability

Searching for alternative methods for traditional irrigation is World trend at days due to a reduction in water and increased of drought due to climate changes therefore farmers need use modern methods of scheduling water and minimizing water losses while also increasing yield. To meet the future increasing demands water and food there is a need to utilize alternative methods to reduce evaporation, transpiration.a.d deep percolation of water. Any countries use recycled water (drain.a.d sewage) and desalination water from the sea or drains to irrigate crops plus computing actual crop evapotranspiration (ETc) so as to calculate the amount of water to apply to a crop. The paper aims to assess the actual evaporation.a.d evaporation coefficient of carrots, by planting carrots in.a.field and the crop was exposed to several sources of water (DW and RW) and comparing ETc, Kc and production.a.ong plots of three sites (A, B and C). The study used two types of irrigation water (drain water (DW) and river water (RW)). The results were to monthly rate and accumulated actual evapotranspiration to C (irrigation by RW only) more than.a.(67% RW and 33% DW) and B (17% RW and 83% DW) via 7% and 58%, respectively. The yield to C more than.a.and B by 17% and 75%, respectively. In conclusion the use of DW can cause a reduction in crop consumptive of carrot crops also causes a reduction in yield, crop length, root length, root size, canopy of crop, number of leaves and biomass of the plant therefore, the drainage water needs to treated before irrigating crops And making use of it to irrigate the fields and fill the shortfall in the amount of water from the river. The drain water helped on filling the water shortage due to climate changes and giving production of carrot crop but less than river water.

Refractive errors and biometry of primary angle-closure disease in.a.mixed Malaysian population

AIM： To assess the refractive status, anterior chamber depth （ACD） and axial length （AL） of patients with primary angle-closure disease （PACD）. METHODS： Retrospective cohort. Data was collected from charts of all PACD patients treated from April 2013 to December 2015. Analysis was done on 137 patient charts with complete biometric data. Patient demographics, PACD type, refractive status （spherical equivalent）, ACD and AL were studied. RESULTS： The median.a.e of 137 subjects [53 with primary angle-closure suspects （PACS）, 27 with primary angle- closure （PAC） and 57 with primary angle-closure glaucoma （PACG）] was 68y （range 21-88y）. The majority was Chinese （n=68; 49.6%） and most of them were women （n=75; 54.7%）. The distribution of myopia （n=51; 37.2%） and hyperopia （n=49; 35.8%） was similar. The ACD was shallower in myopes compared to hyperopes （P=-0.02） and emmetropia （P=-0.049） but the AL was not significantly different between groups. There were no patients blind from PACG. COnCLUSIOn： Both myopia and hyperopia can occur in PACD. Despite a shallower ACD in.a.gle closure myopes, the AL was not different between groups.

Tagetones A and B, new cytotoxic monocyclic diterpenoids from flowers of Tagetes minuta

Tagetones A(1) and B(2), two new monocyclic diterpenoids were isolated from the n-hexane fraction of fresh flowers of Tagetes minuta L.(Asteraceae). Their structures were established by multiple spectroscopic methods(IR, HR-ESI-MS, and 1D-, and 2D-nMR), in.a.dition to comparison with literature data. Compound 1 showed cytotoxic activity towards MCF7 and A549 cancer cells with IC_(50) values being 4.68 and 4.24 μmol·L^(-1), respectively, compared to doxorubicin(IC_(50) 0.13 and 1.12 μmol·L^(-1), respectively). Compound 2 also exhibited significant activity against HCT116 cancer cells(IC_(50), 6.30 μmol·L^(-1)).

Memory impairment in children is an ongoing issue worldwide related to a learning disability. This neurobiological condition has been suggested to associate with bisphenol A (BPA) exposure during pregnancy. BPA is an inorganic compound used to produce polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins. We conduct this study to investigate the effects of prenatal BPA exposure on the level of the n-methyl-D-aspartate (nMDA) receptor subunits, synaptic markers of the hippocampus and neurobehavioral outcomes in rats. The pregnant rats were given.a.daily dose of 5 mg/kg and 50 mg/kg of BPA with 0.5% Tween 80 orally from gestation day 2 until 21 (GD21). The level of Glun.a. Glun2B, PSD-95 and synapsin I in the hippocampus and its neurobehaviour outcomes were quantified and evaluated in the male foetus and adolescent rat. Prenatal BPA exposure reduced Glun.a. Glun2B, synapsin I and PSD-95 (Postsynaptic Density-95) in the male foetus and adolescent rat hippocampus compared to the control group. The prenatal BPA exposed rats demonstrated anxiety-related behaviour and impairment in.a.ersive and spatial memory. The findings suggested that the impairment in neurobehavioral performance may inhibit the signalling pathway in the nMDA receptor subunits in the male foetus rat hippocampus leading to learning and memory deficits when reaching adolescence.

novel layer-by-layer assembly of rGO-hybridised ZnO sandwich thin films for the improvement of photo-catalysed hydrogen production

Metal oxide semiconductor materials such as ZnO have tremendous potential as light absorbers for photocatalysed electrodes in the electrochemical reduction of water. Promoters such as rGO have been.a.ded to reduce the recombination losses of charge carriers and improve its photoelectrochemical activity. In this study, the effect of layer ordering on the charge transfer properties of rGO-hybridised ZnO sandwich thin films for the photo-catalysed electrochemical reduction of water was investigated. rGO-hybridised ZnO sandwich thin films were prepared via a facile electrode position technique using a layer-by-layer approach. The thin films were analysed using FESEM, XRD, Raman, PL, UV–vis, EIS and CV techniques to investigate its morphological, optical and electrochemical properties. The FESEM images show the formation of distinct layers of rGO and ZnO nanorods/flakes via the layer-by-layer method. XRD confirmed the wurtzite structure of ZnO. PL spectroscopy revealed a reduction of photoemission intensity in the visible region（580 nm） when rGO was incorporated into the ZnO thin film. Among the six thin films prepared, ZnO/rGO showed superior performance compared to the other thin films（0.964 m A/cm） due to the presence of graphene edges which participate as heterogenous electrocatalysts in the photocatalysed electrolysis of water. rGO also acts as electron.a.ceptor, forming an n-p heterojunction which improves the activity of ZnO to oxidise water molecules to O2. EIS revealed that the application of rGO as back con.a.t（rGO/ZnO, rGO/ZnO/rGO） reduces the charge transfer resistance of a semiconductor thin film. Alternatively, rGO as front con.a.t（ZnO/rGO, rGO/ZnO/rGO） improves the photo-catalysed electrolysis of water through the participation of the rGO edges in the chemical activation of water. 利用过硫酸铵作为氧化剂,在壳聚糖(Chi)中用对苯二胺(PPPDA)原位化学氧化聚合反应制备聚(对苯二胺)/壳聚糖复合材料。在添加铜前后,利用FT-IR光谱和SEM表征对苯二胺和对苯二胺/壳聚糖复合材料。利用振荡吸附法,采用1 g/L对苯二胺和对苯二胺/壳聚糖复合材料,在PPPDA和PPPDA/Chi复合材料的pH分别为5.0和6.0的条件下,吸附360 min,可以得到最大的铜去除量。PPPDA显示最大吸附量为650 mg/g,而复合材料的吸附量达到573 mg/g。实验数值与Freundlich等温方程和伪二阶动力学模型吻合良好。含铜的对苯二胺及其复合材料可以被有效地再利用4个循环。相对于无吸附的状态,吸附获得的铜具有高的革兰氏阳性和革兰氏阴性菌抑菌效果。

Wave properties of solitons in.a. un.a.netized four-component dusty plasma system con.a.ns isothermal distributed electrons, mobile ions, and negative-positive dusty grains have been examined. To study DIA wave properties,a reductive perturbation (RP) analysis is used. By a reductive perturbation (RP) analysis under convenient coordinate transformation, the three dimension Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation in cylindrical coordinates is obtained. The effects of dust grain charge on soliton pulse structures are studied. More specifically, solitary profile depending on the axial,radial, and polar angle coordinates with time is discussed. This investigation may be viable in plasmas of the Earth’s mesosphere.

new Method for Prediction Pile Capacity Executed by Continuous Flight Auger (CFA)

A study of piles is quit complex and the estimation of carrying capacity is calculated from theoretical formula and load test results. The design resistance may be calculated using conventional static pile design theory. The pile founding depths should be predetermined before installation from a site geotechnical investigation. To ascertain the field performance and estimate load carrying capacities of piles, in-situ pile load tests should be conducted. In this study, field pile load test data is analyzed to estimate the ultimate load for end bearing piles. The investigated site is about 100 × 110 m located in.a.exandria, Egypt. Geotechnical investigations at the site are carried out to a maximum depth of 45 m. Four borings have been done in field. The tests are conducted at the site for two skelton structure buildings to be constructed on raft foun.a.ion rested on piles executed by continuous flight auger. Four pile load tests are performed on 600 mmdiameters and 27 mlengths. Ultimate capacities of piles are determined according to different methods. It is concluded that the percen.a.e of friction load carried by the shaft along the pile length is about 46% of total load while the percen.a.e of load carried by the end bearing is 54% of total load. A new proposed method by the author is presented to calculate the ultimate capacity of pile from pile load test. The proposed method depends on the settlement of pile without taken into consideration the elastic deformation. An empirical formula is presented from the relationship between stress and settlement of pile due to friction.a.d end bearing only after deducting the elastic deformation. However, the obtained results for the ultimate capacity of end bearing piles are considered to be more accurate than other methods. The proposed method appears to give bitter results that agrees well with the theoretical predictions. The proposed method is easier, quicker and more reliable.
