Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) belongs to a group of congenital osteoporosis which hallmark feature is “affecting skeleton, increasing bone fragility that fracture easily and decreasing bone density due to quantitative and/or qualita-tive abnormalities”. We report a female sibling’s involvement in 3 cases with probable recessive inheritance pattern. Only female aged between 5 and 13 years were affected with skeletal lesions in the lower limbs. The boy of this family had no skeletal or extra-skeletal lesions. Their parents had no affection and no bond of consanguinity. The observed malformations can be classified as type V or VI according to Sillence’s clinical classification. Lack of genetic test in our context has limited accuracy of the diagnosis as new data evoke a genetic classification into 12 types that leading an effective therapeutic management.

Background People over the age of 85 are a rapidly growing age group with a high incidence of congestive heart failure(CHf),in particular heart failure with preserved ejection fraction(Hfp Ef).The diagnosis of CHf is challenging and longitudinal data assessing cardiac structure and function are necessary to distinguish physiologic from pathologic cardiac *** objective of the study was to determine longitudinal changes in cardiac struture and function from ages 85 to 94 years using home *** Subjects were recruited from the Jerusalem Longitudinal Cohort *** three members of the initial cohort(32 f,31 m)who underwent home echocardiography at age 85 were the subjects of the current study and underwent repeat home 2-D and Doppler echocardiographic assessment at age *** There were no significant longitudinal changes in left ventricular mass index(LVmI),however LV end-diastolic volume significantly decreased from 113.4±30 to 103.6±35.5 m L(Pfraction(Ef)remained stable,however longitudinal systolic function significantly decreased with age from 7.9±1.8 to 6.6±1.4 cm/s2(Pfunction as assessed by increased E:e’(11.2±3.4 to 16±7.5,Pft atrial volume index(34.1±11.3 to 42.4±13.7 m L/m^2,Pmonstrated preserved Ef with decreased longitudinal systolic function and diastolic function without significant change in LV *** in LV function in the very elderly may be independent of changes in LV geometry.

Autologous tumor cells and cell-derived secretions(CDS)can induce antitumor immune *** conditions in which cells are cultured and treated impact CDS,and cellular insults alter their composition and *** this study,we generated CDS from tumor cells exposed to normal culture conditions,hypoxia,cisplatin,radiotherapy,photodynamic therapy,or hypochlorous acid(HOCl).In vitro HOCl-CDS showed the strongest stimulatory effects on dendritic cells and macrophages compared to CDS generated by hypoxia,cisplatin,radiotherapy or photodynamic *** improve HOCl-CDS activity at the tumor site,we loaded HOCl-CDS into a melittin-encapsulated hydrogel *** injected intratumorally,the HOCl-CDS hydrogel promoted tumor cell death,cytotoxic T lymphocyte infiltration,and tumor-associated macrophage reprogramming towards an m1 *** hydrogel inhibited tumor growth and prolonged the survival of mice bearing B16-f10 ***,hydrogel-delivered HOCl-CDS augmented the antitumor effects of immune checkpoint *** results underscore the importance of the CDS generation method and delivery approach for improving cancer immunotherapy.

A phylogeny of the genus Aphis Linnaeus, 1 758 was built primarily from specimens collected in the midwest of the United States. A data matrix was constructedwith 68 species and 41 morphological characters with respective character states of alate and apterous viviparous females. Dendrogram topologies of analyses performed usingUPGmA （Unweighted Pair Group method with Arithmetic mean）, maximum Parsimony and Bayesian analysis of Cytochrome Oxidase I, Elongation factor 1-α and primary endosymbiont Buchnera aphidicola 16S sequences were not congruent. Bayesian analysis strongly supported most terminal nodes of the phylogenetic trees. The phylogeny wasstrongly supported by EfI-α, and analysis of COl and EfI-α molecular data combined with morphological characters. It was not supported by single analysis of COI or Buch-hera aphidicola 16S. Results from the Bayesian phylogeny show 4 main species groups： asclepiadis,fabae, gossypii, and middletonii. Results place Aphis and species of the generaProtaphis Bōrner, 1952, Toxoptera Koch, 1856 and Xerobion Nevsky, 1928 in a monophyletic clade. morphological characters support this monophyly as well. The phylogenyshows that the monophyletic clade of the North American middletonii species group belong to the genus Protaphis： P. debilicornis （Gillette ＆ Palmer, 1929）, comb. nov., P. echinaceae（Lagos and Voegtlin, 2009）, comb. nov., and P. middletonii （Thomas, 1879）. The genus Toxoptera should be considered a subgenus of Aphis （stat. nov.）. The analysis also indicatesthat the current genus Iowana frison, 1954 should be considered a subgenus of Aphis （stat. nov.）.

Gene expression variation is a key component underlying phenotypic variation and heterosis. Transcriptome profiling was performed on 23 different tissues or developmental stages of two maize inbreds, B73 and mo17, as well as their hybrid. The obtained large-scale datasets provided opportunities to monitor the developmental dynamics of differential expression, additivity for gene expression, and regulatory variation. The transcriptome can be divided into .30 000 genes that are expressed in at least one tissue of one in bred and an additional ~10 000 “silent” genes that are not expressed in any tissue of any genotype, 90% of which are non-syntenic relative to other grasses. many (.74%) of the expressed genes exhibit differential expression in at least one tissue. However, the majority of genes with differential expression do not exhibit consistent differential expression in different tissues. These genes often exhibit tissue-specific differential expression with equivalent expression in other tissues, and in many cases they switch the directionality of differential expression in different tissues. This suggests widespread variation for tissue-specific regulation of gene expression between the two maize inbreds B73 and mo17. Nearly 5000 genes are expressed in only one parent in at least one tissue (single parent expression) and 97% of these genes are expressed at mid-parent levels or higher in the hybrid, providing extensive opportunities for hybrid complementation in heterosis. In general, additive expression patterns are much more common than non-additive patterns, and this trend is more pronounced for genes with strong differential expression or single pare nt expressi on. There is relatively little evidence for non-additive expression patterns that are maintained in multiple tissues.
