Study of Chemical.Etching and Chemo-Mechanical.Pol.shing on CdZnTe Nucl.ar Detectors

Cadmium zinc tel.uride (CdZnTe) semiconductor has appl.cations in the detection of X-rays and gamma-rays at room temperature without having to use a cool.ng system. Chemical.etching and chemo-mechanical.pol.shing are processes used to smoothen CdZnTe wafer during detector device fabrication. These processes reduce surface damages l.ft after pol.shing the wafers. In this paper, we compare the effects of etching and chemo-mechanical.pol.shing on CdZnTe nucl.ar detectors, using a sol.tion of hydrogen bromide in hydrogen peroxide and ethyl.ne gl.col.mixture. X-ray photoel.ctron spectroscopy (XPS) was used to monitor TeO2 on the wafer surfaces. Current-vol.age and detector-response measurements were made to study the el.ctrical.properties and energy resol.tion. XPS resul.s showed that the chemical.etching process resul.ed in the formation of more TeO2 on the detector surfaces compared to chemo-mechanical.pol.shing. The el.ctrical.resistivity of the detector is of the order of 1010 Ω-cm. The chemo-mechanical.pol.shing process increased the l.akage current more that chemical.etching. For freshl. treated surfaces, the etching process is more detrimental.to the energy resol.tion compared to chemo-mechanical.y pol.shing.

A 12-week feeding trial.with juvenil. red drum(Sciaenops ocel.atus) fed high-soybean meal.SBM) diets was conducted to investigate a putative biomarker of nutritional.imbal.nce, N-formimino-l.gl.tamate(FIGl.). Three fishmeal.free, 60% SBM pel.eted diets(named B12, Fol. and Met, respectivel.) were tested to eval.ate the effects on growth performance and tissue metabol.te profil.s of suppl.mentation of vitamin B12(0.012 mg/kg), fol.te(10 mg/kg), methionine(1 g/kg) respectivel., above basal.suppl.mentation l.vel.. A fourth SBM-based diet(named B12/Fol.Met) was formul.ted with a combination of B12, fol.te, and methionine to attain the above-mentioned target concentrations. A fifth 60% SBM diet(named FWS) with methionine suppl.mentation(1 g/kg above basal.suppl.mentation l.vel.), enriched with taurine, l.sine and threonine as wel. as mineral., was al.o tested. This diet contained formul.tion targets and additives which have al.owed for repl.cing fishmeal.with pl.nt proteins in rainbow trout feeds. 目的旨在描述制定及评估一项短期留学生研究和教育项目。方法研究分为项目制定与实施及评价2部分。根据1名国际学生的短期访学需求,护理学院的全球护理项目协调员和首席导师共同确定项目基本内容和团队成员。该项目学习活动考虑了该国际学生对老年人和居家临终关怀的兴趣,包括4项内容:.开展研究工作,参与教学活动,参与临床实践活动,以及特殊活动和专业发展培训课程。在为期6个月的访学结束时,对参与此次教学活动的教师、研究生及留学生进行访谈和简短问卷调查。结果通过访谈了解到3个方面的内容:通过参与该项目中获得的经验(增强了教育和研究的多样性,获得了新的全球医疗保健知识,对文化意识的自我反思和促进);项目实施的障碍和挑战(签证申请过程,英语语言障碍,缺乏公共交通设施,时间安排冲突);克服这些障碍和挑战的策略(在课程中增加文化多样性信息;与其他同学一起学习英语;使用不同的沟通技巧;在签证申请过程中与大学全球事务办公室持续合作;提供互动体验)。所有项目参与者都对该项目表示非常满意(4.67±0.50),认为对他们在科研、教学和临床实践方面的护理技能有很大影响(4.67±0.50)。结论此次项目的参与者均获得了相关经验,可用于今后的教学指导活动。国际护理专业学生需要得到帮助才能更好地适应访学环境,教师必须具有文化敏感性,了解学生的学习需求,并倡导营造适合学生学习的环境。

Optoel.ctronic tweezer(OET) is a useful.optical.micromanipul.tion technol.gy that has been demonstrated for various appl.cations in el.ctrical.engineering and most notabl. cel. sel.ction for biomedical.engineering. In this work, we studied the use of l.ght patterns with different shapes and thicknesses to manipul.te diel.ctric microparticl.s with OET. It was demonstrated that the maximum vel.cities of the microparticl.s increase to a peak and then gradual.y decrease as the l.ght pattern’s thickness increases. Numerical.simul.tions were run to cl.rify the underl.ing physical.mechanisms, and it was found that the observed phenomenon is due to the co-infl.ence of horizontal.and vertical.diel.ctrophoresis forces rel.ted to the l.ght pattern’s thickness. Further experiments were run on l.ght patterns with different shapes and objects with different sizes and structures. The experimental.resul.s indicate that the physical.mechanism el.cidated in this research is an important one that appl.es to different l.ght pattern shapes and different objects, which is useful.for enabl.ng users to optimize OET settings for future micromanipul.tion appl.cations.

Effects of contaminant metal.ions on precipitation recovery of rare earth el.ments using oxal.c acid
