The objective of this research is mainly focused on environment-friendly and moderately slow flapping wind turbine which can easily operate in or near urban areas or rooftops owing to scale merit with low-frequency turbine noise, installation cost, avian mortality rate and safety consideration etc. We considered lift and drag based slow flapping type wind turbine to operate in the residential arena. In order to study the flapping wind turbine performance, we collect ten years of wind velocity records from the Bangladesh Meteorological Department for two different stations in Bangladesh. The velocity contours and profiles have been the points of observation to find out the suitable turbine shape having the efficiency to initiate the turbine rotation. We made a simple comparative study of the wind velocities profile obtained from the different stations in Bangladesh. A simple numerical study has been conducted and presented by graphical analysis to inspect the wind flow above the constructed structure. Finally, we analyze the wind velocity for the individual months and determine the turbine performance in terms of torque for the average wind velocities of Dhaka and Cox’s Bazar stations.

Residual electrical resistivity due to short-range order has been calculated for Cu100-xAlx (x=9.13,13.56, 14.5 and 14.76 in at pct) alloys using pseudopotential approach, and the results have been discussed in the light of experimental studies of the local-order structure of these alloys. In case of Cu85.5Al14.5, change in the total residual electrical resistivity due to neutron-irradiation effects has been estimated by including contributions from the short-range order and static atomic displacement correction. Our results show a decrease in the residual resistivity in the irradiated Cu-Al solid solution as compared to the unirradiated sample. This is in accordance with the experimental results

Teacher self-efficacy is an important predictor in teacher’s professional career for inquiry-based *** study investigated the factors(gender,educational level,and teaching experience)associated with science teachers’self-efficacy in instructional strategies,classroom management,and student engagement in teaching scientific inquiry.A questionnaire was used for data collection from 47 practicing teachers in state schools in 2018.A General Linear model(GLm)Univariate analysis using SPSS 21.00 programme was used for data *** findings revealed that mean perceived self-efficacy in inquiry-based instruction was considerably high irrespective of gender,education level,and teaching *** teacher self-efficacy in student engagement nor classroom management did not show statistically significant difference according to gender,education level,and teaching ***,results concluded that science teaching experience was a significant predictor of self-efficacy in instructional strategies of inquiry-based instruction.

Interatomic Potentials for Some Binary Oxides

Using atomistic computer simulation methods we have derived a new set of interatomic potential parameters for some binary oxides, comprising divalent transition elements (rock-salt structured) and tetravalent metals. Computational techniques based on the minimization of the crystal energy with respect to atomic coordinates have been employed. Crystal properties were calculated and compared with the experimental data to check the reliability of our potential models. Intrinsic (Schottky and Frenkel) defect energies were also calculated and compared with previous studies. There is a good agreement between these calculations, which shows that the new potential parameters are reliable and can be used with confidence for future investigations.

The ability to predict the weathering performance of the clearcoat system over a short period of time is essential for the design and development of coating production. Thus, the primary objective of the present study is to investigate whether it is possible to predict the weathering performance of an automotive paint system through determination of surface roughness, Ra, and micro-hardness before and after various weathering exposure times (0, 24, 168, 336, 504, 672 hours) and when employing two different detergent materials (house-use detergent and car wash detergent). The data were analysed using a pair-sample t-Test, with 0.05 level of significance. It was found that the total net of degradation in the clearcoat level during the first 24 hours was Ra ≈ 30.3 nm (for surface roughness) and 1.358 HV (for the μ-hardness) when using the house-use detergent. In contrast, it was found to be Ra ≈ 4.6 nm (for surface roughness) and 1.133 HV (for μ-hardness) when using the car wash detergent. Also, increased time of weathering (up to 672 hours) increases the Ra and μ-hardness values. It can therefore be concluded that the effect of house-use detergent was more severe than that of car wash detergent on the clearcoat system.

On October 8, 2005, an earthquake of mw 7.6 shook northern Pakistan at 8：50：38 Am local time. The epicenter was located at 34°29′35″N, 73°37′44″E （USGS）, in Neelum Valley, 19 km northeast of muzaffarabad, the capital town of Pakistan-administered Kashmir. This deadliest of the Himalayan earthquakes took a toll of more than 80,000 of human lives, rendered millions homeless, and caused an estimated damage of US $ 5 billion.

Association of Obesity with Infertility among Pakistani men: A Case Control Study

Background: The reported prevalence of infertility in Pakistan is 21% of which 35% is contributed by male factor. male infertility has multifactorial etiologies ranging from modifiable to genetic risk factors. Among all the risk factors that may account for male infertility, obesity is one of the emerging public health problems. Therefore, the aim of the study was to determine the association of obesity with infertility in Pakistani men. methods: We conducted a case control study. Cases were men with impaired semen parameters and controls did not have impaired semen parameters. Results: The final multivariable logistic regression model after adjusting for the effect of other variables revealed that with every 1 kg/m2 increase in BmI the odds of being infertile was 6% higher as compared to being fertile (aOR = 1.06;95% CI = 1.01, 1.11). moreover the odds of having education of higher secondary or above was 3 times greater among cases as compared with the controls (OR = 3.10;95% CI = 1.66, 5.77). Furthermore the odds of having previous medical conditions increasing the risk of infertility was higher among cases as compared with the controls (OR = 3.07;95% CI = 1.63, 5.79). Conclusion & recommendations: This study indicates that obesity is an important risk factor for male infertility. moreover our findings also indicate that higher educational status and previous medical conditions are also associated with male infertility. Thus awareness can be raised through treating physicians and public health messages.

Linseed is a multipurpose crop and the crop needs further improvement to increase production and yield due to its high value and *** study aimed to assess the extent and pattern of genetic variability of forty linseed genotypes based on diverse agro–morphological and yield *** field experiment was conducted following a Randomized Complete Block Design with three *** germplasm showed a wide range of phenotypic expression,genetic variability and heritability for 30 studied traits.A low to high phenotypic coeffi-cient of variation(PCV)and genotypic coefficient of variation(GCV)were *** lowest genotypic(σ2 g)and phenotypic variances(σ2 p)were found in capsule diameter(CD),length of calyx(LC),capsule length(CL),seed length(SL),and seed breadth(SB).High broad-sense heritability(h2 b)with high genetic advance as a percentage of mean(GAm)were observed in days to germination started(DGS),days to 80%emergence(DE),plant height at 28 and 40 DAS,number of flowers(NFPP),filled capsules(NFCPP)and yield per plant(YPP)indicating additive gene action exists for these *** cluster analysis separated 40 genotypes into five clusters,where Clusters I to V assembled with 13,4,4,5 and 14 genotypes,*** yield and yield attributes,Cluster-IV(G3,G4,G6,G10 and G31)genotypes showed promising while,Cluster-II(G2,G16,G35,G36)and Cluster-III(G1,G33,G39 and G40)genotypes were dominant on plant morphological *** on principal component analysis(PCA),few characters such as YPP,NFPP,NFCPP,days to first flowering and capsule formation,early emergence,days to branch initiation and plant heights at different growth stages revealed important and effective traits for consideration in the selection of linseed breeding programs.

Genome Annotation and Comparative Genomics of ORF Virus

ORF virus (ORFV), the etiological agent of contagious pustular dermatitis in small ruminants, belongs to members of the genus Parapoxvirus of the Poxviridae. The genome of the ORFV is dsDNA of 139,962 bp which has about 89% coding region, 63% GC content and codes 130 proteins. There are four unique genes within the genome revealed by homology search of them two posses’ strong regulatory region and transmembrane helices. One of the ORF-039 contains signal peptide indicating the possibilities to be secretory protein coding gene. Comparative genomic analysis reveals significant differences in Bovine Papular Stomatitis Virus (BPSV) strain BV-AR02 and ORFV strain OV-SA00, and these may account for differences in host range. Interspecies sequence variability is observed in all functional classes of genes but is the highest in putative virulence/host range genes. Notably, ORFV contains genes which are homologous of Vaccinia virus. Phylogenetic analysis reveals that although divergent, ORFV virus is distinct from other known mammalian cowpox virus. An improved understanding of Parapoxvirus (PPV) biology will permit the engineering of novel vaccine viruses and expression vectors with enhanced efficacy and greater versatility. The novel vaccine will have a significant role in the economy of a country through the control of disease in an economically important and small ruminant caused by ORFV.
