A strategy for rapid discovery of traceable chemical markers in herbal products using MZmine 2 data processing toolbox:A case of jing Liqueur

Objective:The quality evaluation of herbal products remains a big *** markers are the core concept of the authentication of herbal ***,the discovery of traceable markers is labor-intensive and *** aim of this study is to develop a convenient approach to rapidly screen the traceable markers for herbal product ***:Commercial jing Liqueur and its 22 species of herbal ingredients were analyzed using HPLCQTOF-MS and GC–MS to characterize nonvolatile and volatile *** acquired data were imported into MZmine 2 software for mass detection,chromatogram building,deconvolution and *** aligned data were exported into a csv file and then traceable markers were selected using the built-in filter function in ***,the traceable markers were identified by searching against online databases or publications,some of which were confirmed by reference ***:A total of 288 chemical features transferred from herbal materials to jing Liqueur product were rapidly screened *** them,52 markers detected by HPLC-QTOF-MS were annotated,while nine volatile markers detected by GC–MS were ***,30 of these markers were confirmed by comparing with reference standards.A chemical fingerprint consisting of traceable markers was finally generated to ensure the authentication and quality consistency of jing ***:A strategy for rapid discovery of traceable markers in herbal products using MZmine 2 software was developed.

Clinical experience of Professor Shao jing-ming: a master of acupuncture-moxibustion

Professor Shao jing-ming had practiced Chinese medicine for more than 80 years with rich clinical experience and exquisite acupuncture techniques. From his clinical experience, Professor Shao's clinical features can be summarized as the followings: attaching importance to the theory of meridians and collaterals, combining pattern identification and disease identification, using fewer acupoints for treatment, and using Ashi point and Hegu (LI 4) to treat goiter. He emphasized the priority and sequence in acupoint-selection and manipulation. In treatment of epilepsy, he proposed to treat it according to the situation and paid great attention to the special function of the extraordinary acupoints. During the onset, it should be managed by calming the mind and controlling the symptoms;during the remission period, acupuncture and drugs should be applied simultaneously to regulate qi-blood and yin-yang, so as to reduce the frequency of attacks. He believed that acupuncture manipulation be one of the key factors in achieving the efficacy. In treatment of the motive diseases, such as convulsions and cramps, acupuncture with static and longer needle-retaining time should be adopted to control the limb movement, to strengthen the stimulation and to obtain a long-term efficacy. Professor Shao jing-ming's medical records range from internal medicine, external medicine, gynecology and pediatrics, listing various refractory diseases effectively treated by him. Professor Shao was a moral and erudite Chinese medicine master, and his clinical experience is worthy of inheritance and development.

It is obvious that the climatic trend in the Western China is warming-drying in recent fifty years,especially in Yellow River Basin. Under the impact of climate change and human's activities,its fragile ecosystem became more *** River is one of the main tributary of the Wei River and second-grade tributary of tYellow River. jing River originated from the Loess Plateau,and its full length and basin area are 455.1 km and 45421 *** on meteorological,hydrographic and remote sensing data collection of nearly fifty years （1955-2002）,this paper applied the SWAT MODEL （Soil and Water Assessment Tool） to research ecosystem characteristics of jing River Basin on the conditions of climatic warming-drying trend and aggravated human activities,The impact degree between climate change and human activities to the soil and water resources of jing River Basin from 1955 to 2002 were 2/3,especially in 70s～80s,land use and land cover change caused by human activities had much influences on the runoff..Aim to increasing water resources to adapt climatic warming-drying trend in jing River Basin,the land use patterns were extracted.

Biodegradable polymer scaffolds combined with bioactive components which accelerate osteogenesis and angiogenesis have promise for use in clinical bone defect *** preclinical acute toxicity evaluation is an essential assay of implantable biomaterials to assess the biosafety for accelerating clinical *** have successfully developed magnesium(Mg)particles and beta-tricalcium phosphate(β-TCP)for incorporation into poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)(PLGA)porous composite scaffolds(PTM)using low-temperature rapid prototyping three-dimensional-printing *** PTM scaffolds have been fully evaluated and found to exhibit excellent osteogenic capacity for bone defect *** preclinical evaluation of acute systemic toxicities is essential and important for development of porous scaffolds to facilitate their clinical *** this study,acute systemic toxicity of the PTM scaffolds was evaluated in mice by intraperitoneal injection of the extract solutions of the *** composite scaffolds with different Mg andβ-TCP content(denoted as PT5M,PT10M,and PT15M)were extracted with different tissue culture media,including normal saline,phosphate-buffered saline,and serum-free minimum essential medium,to create the extract *** evaluation was carried out following the National *** acute toxicity was fully evaluated through the collection of extensive data,including serum/organs ion concentration,fluorescence staining,and in vivo median lethal dose *** in major organs(heart,liver,and lung),and Mg ion concentrations in serum of mice,after intraperitoneal injection of the extract solutions,were measured and showed that the extract solutions of PT15M caused significant elevation of serum Mg ion concentrations,which exceeded the safety threshold and led to the death of the *** contrast,the extract solutions of PT5M and PT10M scaffolds did not cause the death of the injected *** median lethal dose of Mg ions in vivo

The weather at the Xinglong Observing Station, where the Guo Shou jing Telescope （GSJT） is located, is strongly affected by the monsoon climate in north- east China. The LAMOST survey strategy is constrained by these weather patterns. We present statistics on observing hours from 2004 to 2007, and the sky brightness, seeing, and sky transparency from 1995 to 2011 at the site. We investigate effects of the site conditions on the survey plan. Operable hours each month show a strong cor- relation with season： on average there are eight operable hours per night available in December, but only one-two hours in July and August. The seeing and the sky trans- parency also vary with season. Although the seeing is worse in windy winters, and the atmospheric extinction is worse in the spring and summer, the site is adequate for the proposed scientific program of the LAMOST survey. With a Monte Carlo simulation using historical data on the site condition, we find that the available observation hours constrain the survey footprint from 22h to 16h in right ascension; the sky brightness allows LAMOST to obtain a limiting magnitude of V = 19.5 mag with S/N= 10.
