The goal of this study was to use statistical optimization to change the nutritional and environmental conditions so that Streptomyces baarensis Mh-133 could make more active *** trials were used to screen for critical variables influencing productivity using the Placket-Burman Design *** Mh-133 is significantly influenced by elicitation,yeast extract,inoculum size,and incubation period in terms of antibacterial activity.A total of 27 experimental trials with various combinations of these factors were used to carry out the response surface technique using the Box-Behnken *** analyses revealed that the model was highly significant(ph a lack-of-fit of 0.212 and a coefficient determination(R2)of ***,the model predicted that the response as inhibition zone diameter would reach a value of 27 *** optimal conditions,*** Mh-133 produced 18.0 g of crude extract to each 35L and was purified with column *** active fraction exhibiting antibacterial activity was characterized using spectroscopic *** MIC and MBC values varied between 37.5 and 300μg/ml and 75 and 300μg/ml,*** conclusion,the biostatistical optimization of the active fraction critical variables,including environmental and nutritional conditions,enhances the production of bioactive molecules by Streptomyces species.

Thyroid hormones play essential roles in spermatogenesis,but their effects on infertile males remain poorly *** study aimed to evaluate the impact of combining carbimazole(CBZ)with vitamin E(VE)on testicular injury induced by experimental hyperthyroidism in adult albino rats,focusing on oxidative,inflammatory,and apoptotic *** this experimental study,64 adult male albino Wistar rats were divided into eight groups:Group I(control-untreated),Group II(CBZ-control),Group III(VE-control),Group IV(CBZ+VE-control),Group V(levothyroxine-induced testicular injury),Group VI(levothyroxine+CBZ-treated),Group VII(levothyroxine+VE-treated),and Group VIII(levothyroxine+CBZ+VE-treated).The study was conducted in the Faculty of Medicine,Suez Canal University(Ismailia,Egypt).After cervical decapitation,both testes and epididymis were examined histopathologically and *** differences were observed among groups concerning malondialdehyde(MDA),glutathione(GSh),superoxide dismutase(SOD),and catalase(CAT;all Phain reaction analysis showed significant differences in tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-10(IL-10),Bcl-2-associated X protein(BAX),B-cell lymphoma 2 protein(Bcl2),p53,Caspase-3,Caspase-8,Caspase-9,and nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB)mRNA levels(all Phyperthyroid group treated with CBZ alone(Group VI)exhibited testicular side effects,affecting seminiferous tubules and ***,the Group VIII showed improved spermatogenesis and a decrease in testicular side *** addition of VE to the treatment of hyperthyroid rats with CBZ reduced testicular side effects and seminiferous tubular affection when potentially improving *** research is needed to elucidate the underlying mechanisms fully.

Objective:To evaluate the anticancer potential of Cymbopogon citratus ***:GC-MS analysis was used to identify phytocomponents in the methanolic extract of Cymbopogon citratus.A fractionation method was employed to isolate and assess the bioactivity of different fractions and their cytotoxic activities against cancer cell lines hCT116,LoVo,Caco-2,and hT-29 were investigated.A dual staining method with acridine orange and ethidium bromide was used to assess the effect of the extract on cell ***,the expression levels of Bax and TP53 were quantified using real-time PCR in Caco-2 cells treated with the ethyl acetate fraction of Cymbopogon citratus extract.A protein array was employed to profile key pro-and anti-apoptotic proteins in Caco-2 ***,molecular docking studies were conducted to investigate the interactions between key compounds of Cymbopogon citratus extract and specific apoptosis-related protein domains(PDB IDs:7wql and 4bkx).Results:A significant growth inhibition was observed in Caco-2 cells treated with Cymbopogon citratus *** the seven fractions of the plant extract,the ethyl acetate fraction showed the highest cytotoxicity against Caco-2 cells with an IC50 value of(6.16±0.01)μg/*** immunofluorescence assay showed that the ethyl acetate fraction could induce apoptosis of Caco-2 ***,the fraction upregulated the gene expressions of Bax and TP53 in a dose-dependent *** docking analysis demonstrated the interaction of five compounds isolated from the ethyl acetate fraction with key proteins in Caco-2 cells,indicating their anticancer ***:Cymbopogon citratus extract shows anticancer activity against Caco-2 cells by inducing *** may be a promising candidate for the treatment of colon cancer,which needs further investigation.

Objectives:This study aimed to test the association between of type and number of D'Amico high-risk criteria(DhRCs)with cancer-specific mortality(CSM)in high-risk prostate cancer patients treated with radical *** and methods:In the Surveillance,Epidemiology,and End Results database(2004–2016),we identified 31,281 radical prostatectomy patients with at least 1 DhRC,namely,prostate-specific antigen(PSA)>20 ng/mL(hrPSA),biopsy Gleason Grade Group(hrGGG)score of 4 and 5,or clinical tumor stage≥T3(hrcT).Multivariable Cox regression models and competing risks regression models(adjusting for other cause mortality)tested the association between DhRCs and 5-year ***:Of 31,281 patients,14,394(67%)exclusively harbored hrGGG,3189(15%)harbored hrPSA,and 1781(8.2%)harbored *** 2132 patients(6.8%)harbored a combination of the 2 DhRCs,and 138(0.6%)had all 3 ***-year CSMrates ranged from 0.9%to 3.0%when any individual DhRC was present(hrcT,hrPSA,and hrGGG,in that order),1.6%to 5.9%when 2 DhRCs were present(hrPSA-hrcT,hrcT-hrGGG,and hrPSA-hrGGG,in that order),and 8.1%when all 3 DhRCs were *** regression models and competing risks regression confirmed the independent predictor status of DhRCs for 5-year CSM that was observed in univariable analyses,with hazard ratios from 1.00 to 2.83 for 1 DhRC,2.35 to 5.88 for combinations of 2 DhRCs,and 7.13 for all 3 ***:Within individual DhRCs,hrcT and hrPSA exhibited weaker effects than hrGGG ***,a dose-response effect was identified according to the number of ***,the type and number of DhRCs allow further risk stratification within the high-risk subgroup.

Spinal dural arteriovenous fistulas account for the majority of spinal vascular *** are typically located in the thoracolumbar region and are diagnosed in the middle-aged and elderly *** spinal dural arteriovenous fistulas have been postulated to be acquired,their exact development remains ***,the arteriovenous shunt is situated close to the spinal nerve root,inside the dura mater,where the blood from the radiculomeningeal artery and radicular vein *** history,there have been multiple classification systems of spinal arteriovenous shunts since *** were mainly based on the evolution of diagnostic studies as well as the treatment of these *** classification systems have undergone significant changes over the *** intracranial dural arteriovenous fistula,spinal dural arteriovenous fistula is progressive in *** neurological manifestations,due to venous congestion,tend to be insidious as well as *** include sensory deficits,such as paresthesia,bilateral and/or unilateral radicular pain affecting the lower limbs,and gait *** dural arteriovenous fistulas can be suspected on magnetic resonance imaging/magnetic resonance angiography and confirmed by digital subtraction angiography(DSA).The management includes surgery,endovascular therapy,and in selected cases,*** treatment goal of spinal dural arteriovenous fistula is to halt the progression of the *** prognosis depends on both the duration of symptoms as well as the clinical condition prior to *** present article comprehensively reviews the pathophysiology,changes in classification systems,natural history,clinical manifestations,radiological features,management,and prognosis.

Oilfield produced water is large quantities of salty water trapped in underground formations and subsisted under high temperatures and pressures that are brought to the surface along with oil during production. Produced water(PW) contains a lot of pollutants such as hydrocarbons and metals, this water must be treated before disposal. Therefore, different techniques are being used to treat produced water. Electrocoagulation is an efficient treatment technique involving the dissolution of anodes and formation of electro-coagulants, while the simultaneous generation of h_2 bubbles at the cathode leads to the pollutant removal by flotation. Electrocoagulation(EC)method is one of the most promising and widely used processes to treat oilfield produced water. In the present work, a conventional internal-loop(draught tube) airlift reactor was utilized as electrocoagulation/flotation cell for PW treatment by inserting two aluminum electrodes in the riser section of the airlift reactor. The EC airlift reactor was operated in a batch mode for the liquid phase. Different experimental parameters were studied on the oil and turbidity removal efficiencies such as current density, initial ph, electrocoagulation time, and air *** experimental results showed that mixing of the oil droplets in the PW was accomplished using only the liquid recirculation resulted by h_2 microbubbles generated by EC process which enhanced the oil removal. The experimental results further showed that the EC time required achieving ≥ 90% oil removal efficiency decreases from 46 to 15 min when operating current density increases from 6.8 to 45.5 mA·cm^(-2). This reactor type was found to be highly efficient and less energy consuming compared to conventional existing electrochemical cells which used mechanical agitation.

Wet-cupping therapy(WCT)is one of the oldest known medical techniques,used as a traditional and complementary therapy with a wide application all around the world for general *** on the effects of WCT on sports performance are sparse and ***,we aimed to explore the effects of WCT on repeated sprint ability,wellness,and exertion in young active ***-nine active adult males(age:[28±5]years;body height[177±8]cm;body mass:[79±7]kg;body mass index:[25.4±1.8]kg/m^(2))were selected for the *** participants performed a running-based sprint test on two separate occasions(Control and Post-WCT).WCT was performed 24 h before the testing *** completed the hooper questionnaire to assess their well-being(i.e.,sleep,stress,fatigue,and soreness)before each *** rating of perceived exertion(RPE)was collected after each testing session.A higher maximum power(ph a better perceived sleep(phe post-WCT compared to the Control *** present findings demonstrated that WCT moderately enhanced repeated sprint ability and had positive effects on perceived sleep,stress,and *** may be an effective ergogenic aid to improve repeated sprint ability and general wellbeing in young adult *** large-scale multicentric clinical studies are paramount to confirm the results of our study.
