Eight species, HRgX （Rg = He, Ne, Ar, Kr; X = Cl, Br）, are predicted to have bending transition states at B3PW91/AUG-cc-PVTZ level, leading to 2-body decomposition pathway like H-Rg-X→Rg＋HX. The reaction path has been obtained with Intricate Reaction Coordinates （IRC） method on identical theoretical level. Additionally, the linear transition states of HArCl, HArBr, HKrCl and HKrBr were obtained at MP2/6-311 ＋＋G （2d, 2p） level, resulting in 3-body dissociation channel as H-Rg-X→H ＋ Rg＋ X.

Traditionally,hyaluronic acid has been widely used for drug delivery,but the current application bottleneck is that hyaluronic acid is hydrophilic and electronegative,which makes it difficult to carry hydrophobic drugs and small interfering RNA(siRNA)with the same *** on previous studies,we designed and synthesized hyaluronic acid nanocarriers HA-spermine/N,N,N-trimethylcystamine/DOX-TPP(HSTD)for loading siRNA to overcome the problem of siRNA release caused by strong electrostatic ***,N,N,Ntrimethylcystamine in the carrier can be degraded by intracellular glutathione to completely and rapidly release siRNA,thus promoting ***,when codelivered with the chemotherapy drug doxorubicin(DOX),this novel nanocarrier showed promising synergy in inhibiting tumor growth.

Establishment of an acute extraocular muscle injury model in cats

aiM： To describe an acute extraocular muscle injury model in cats. METHODS： Seventy-two cats were randomly divided into 6 groups（12 cats per group）. Cats＇ left lateral recti were clamped using a surgical needle holder with a clamping strength of 2（Groups A and D）, 4（Groups B and E） and 6 kg（Groups C and F）. The right lateral recti were treated as controls. On the 4^（th） and 7^（th） days, hematoxylin eosin（HE） staining, immunohistochemical staining for proliferating cell nuclear antigen（PCNA）, muscle force measurements and ocular alignment changes were performed to evaluate the extent of injuries. RESULTS： The morphological changes were graded as mild, moderate or severe by HE staining in all experiment groups. PCNA immunohistochemical staining indicated repairment of muscle fibers in the damaged area. On the 4^（th） and 7^（th） days after clamping, the injured lateral muscle exhibited an elevated threshold for electric stimulation. The muscle forces among groups 2, 4 and 6 kg injury at 4 d（Groups A, B and C） were statistically significant（P0.05）, respectively. In addition, medial deviation in ocular alignment was also present to various degrees in all groups. CONCLUSION： A cat model of acute extraocular muscle injury can be established by rectus clamping. Different clamping strengths can make different degrees of muscle injury. This model may help the future study in the acute extraocular muscle injury.

A quantitative method to evaluate the amounts of heavy metals in river sediments is established. Using the BT Drainage River in North China as a study object, six representative cross sections were selected for measurement of heavy metal indicators in sediments, and then the main contamination indicators were determined by performing a potential ecological risk assessment. Using a section of this river as an example, the total amounts of the main pollution indicators and those of their harmful forms are estimated by the Surfer software, which simulates the pollution status within the downstream sediments of the outfall at this section. The calculation results could provide a theoretical guideline and data support for pollution treatment of the BT Drainage River.

Postoperative cognitive dysfunction(POCD)is a common surgical *** mellitus(DM)increases risk of developing POCD after *** patients with POCD seriously threaten the quality of patients’life,however,the intrinsic mechanism is unclear,and the effective treatment is *** studies have demonstrated neuronal loss and reduced neurogenesis in the hippocampus in mouse models of *** this study,we constructed a mouse model of DM by intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin,and then induced postoperative cognitive dysfunction by transient bilateral common carotid artery *** found that mouse models of DM-POCD exhibited the most serious cognitive impairment,as well as the most hippocampal neural stem cells(H-NSCs)loss and neurogenesis ***,we hypothesized that small extracellular vesicles secreted by induced pluripotent stem cell-derived mesenchymal stem cells(iMSC-sEVs)might promote neurogenesis and restore cognitive function in patients with ***-sEVs were administered via the tail vein beginning on day 2 after surgery,and then once every 3 days for 1 month *** results showed that iMSC-sEVs treatment significantly recovered compromised proliferation and neuronal-differentiation capacity in H-NSCs,and reversed cognitive impairment in mouse models of ***,miRNA sequencing and qPCR showed miR-21-5p and miR-486-5p were the highest expression in *** found iMSC-sEVs mainly transferred miR-21-5p and miR-486-5p to promote H-NSCs proliferation and *** miR-21-5p was demonstrated to directly targete Epha4 and CDKN2C,while miR-486-5p can inhibit FoxO1 in *** then demonstrated iMSC-sEVs can transfer miR-21-5p and miR-486-5p to inhibit EphA4,CDKN2C,and FoxO1 expression in ***,these results indicate significant H-NSC loss and neurogenesis reduction lead to DM-POCD,the application of iMSC-sEVs may represent a novel cell-free therapeutic tool for diabe

Floating breakwaters with a mooring system have been widely applied to protect marine infrastructures(e.g.,artificial beach or island,aquaculture farm or marine vessels in harbors)from being destroyed by severe *** this paper,an innovative cylindrical dual pontoon-net floating breakwater was developed to enhance the wave attenuation *** dual-module floating breakwater system was constructed as the prototype for on-site testing.A fully nonlinear time-domain model based on the coupled iterative solutions of the fluid integral equation and the pontoon-net dynamic equations was proposed to simulate the interactions between waves and the floating breakwater *** flow field around the nets was simulated by introducing a porous-media model with Darcy’s law,while the deformation of the flexible nets was solved by using the lumped mass *** instantaneous free surface was captured using the mixed Eulerian-Lagrangian(MEL)approach which employs an improved moving-grid technique based on the spring analysis to re-mesh the instantaneous water surface and the body wetted ***-site tests were also conducted to evaluate wave transmission performance of the floating breakwater system and to validate the numerical *** comparisons show that the numerical solutions are in good agreement with the measured *** effects of incident wave direction,wave period,wave height,net height,net number and net porosity on the hydrodynamic performance of the floating breakwater system were emphatically examined.

Modification of cell wall properties has been considered as one of the determinants that confer aluminum(Al)tolerance in plants,while how cell wall modifying processes are regulated remains ***,we present a WRKY transcription factor WRKY47 involved in Al tolerance and root *** of WRKY47 significantly reduces,while overexpression of it increases Al *** show that lack of WRKY47 substantially affects subcellular Al distribution in the root,with Al content decreased in apoplast and increased in symplast,which is attributed to the reduced cell wall Al-binding capacity conferred by the decreased content of hemicellulose I in the wrky47-1 *** on microarray,real time-quantitative polymerase chain reaction and chromatin immunoprecipitation assays,we further show that WRKY47 directly regulates the expression of EXTENSIN-LIKE PROTEIN(ELP)and XYLOGLUCAN ENDOTRANSGLUCOSYLASE-HYDROLASES17(XTH17)responsible for cell wall *** the expression of ELP and XTH17 rescued Al tolerance as well as root growth in wrky47-1 *** summary,our results demonstrate that WRKY47 is required for root growth under both normal and Al stress conditions via direct regulation of cell wall modification genes,and that the balance of Al distribution between root apoplast and symplast conferred by WRKY47 is important for Al tolerance.
