This paper introduces a new enhanced Arabic stemming algorithm for solving the information retrieval problem,especially in medical *** proposed algorithm is a light stemming algorithm for extracting stems and roots from the input *** of the main challenges facing the light stemming algorithm is cutting off the input word,to extract the initial *** initiating the light stemmer with strong initial segments,the final extracting stems and roots will be more ***,a new enhanced segmentation based on deploying the Direct Acyclic Graph(DAG)model is *** addition to extracting the powerful initial segments,the main two procedures(i.e.,stems and roots extraction),should be also reinforced with more efficient operators to improve the final *** validate the proposed enhanced stemmer,four data sets are *** achieved stems and roots resulted from our proposed light stemmer are compared with the results obtained from five other well-known Arabic light stemmers using the same data *** evaluation process proved that the proposed enhanced stemmer outperformed other comparative stemmers.

Anabolic steroid abuse is common among athletes and is associated with a number of medical complications. We describe a case of a 27-year-old male bodybuilder with multiple hepatic adenomas induced by anabolic steroids. He initially presented with tumor hemorrhage and was treated with left lateral hepatic segmentectomy. Regression of the remaining tumors was observed with cessation of steroid use. However, 3 years and a half after his initial hepatic segmentectomy, he presented with recurrent tumor enlargement and intraperitoneal hemorrhage in the setting of steroid abuse relapse. Given his limited hepatic reserve, he was conservatively managed with embolization of the right accessory hepatic artery. This is the first reported case of hepatic adenoma re- growth with recidivistic steroid abuse, complicated by life-threatening hemorrhage. While athletes and bodybuilders are often aware of the legal and social ramifications of steroid abuse, they should continue to be counseled about its serious medical risks.

The operating parameters such as the internal quantum efficiency （η）, internal loss （α） and transparent threshold current density （J0） of double quantum well laser diodes were investigated and identified using the program, Integrated System Engineering-Technical Computer Aided Design （ISE-TCAD）. Various thicknesses （6, 7, 8, 10, 12 rim） of AlxInyGa1-x-yN barriers with （3 nm） Al0.08In0.08Ga0.84N wells as an active region were studied. The lowest threshold current （lth）, and the highest output power （Pop） were 116 mA and 196 mW respectively, at barriers thickness of 6 nm, Al mole fraction of 10% and In mole fraction of 1%, at an emission wavelength of 359.6 nm.

In a preliminary investigation, Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) analysis and partial mitochondrial ND2 gene sequencing were conducted to study the genetic variation of the Indian mackerel, Rastrelliger kanagurta along a 450 km stretch of its distribution on the west coast of Peninsular malaysia. A total of 53 individuals from 6 populations were analyzed using 4 RAPD primers and a sub-sample of 15 individuals was chosen for sequencing of partial ND2 gene. Comparison between the 2 markers revealed genetic structuring in the RAPD results but genetic homogeneity for ND2 gene. Based on the former there may be at least 2 genetically differentiated groups of Rastrelliger kanagurta along this stretch.

Fourth instar larvae of Chironomus kiiensis(Tokunaga) were exposed to various concentrations of two commonly used herbicides: 2,4 - D Dimethylamine and Bensulfuron methyl in the rice fields. The bioassay experiment was carried out in a rearing unit in the laboratory at a room temperature ( (27 ± 2) ℃ ). A thin layer of sand sediments and tissue papers were provided as substrate in each unit. Each concentration of all herbicides was prepared in 250 mL distilled water. The experiment was performed in triplicate and 20 chironomid larvae were placed in each rearing unit. The larvae were fed with fish food (Sanyuichiban(R)) at 2 d intervals and all units were aerated by air pumps. The experiment was monitored every 24 h for mortality of C. kiiensis. The 2,4 - D Dimethylamine bioassay was carried out for 24 h while Bensulfuron methyl was run for 72 h. Dead larvae, pupae and living or dead adults were counted and removed *** LC50 of 2,4 - D Dimethylamine was 2 638 mg ai L-1, more than 2 000 times higher than the recommended dose of 0.753 mg ai L-1 used for controlling weeds in the rice field. Bensulfuron methyl was more toxic than the 2,4 - D Dimethylamine. The LC50 of the Bensulfuron methyl was recorded at 1.29 mg ai L-1, and approximately was more 20 times than that of the recommended dose of 0. 057 mg ai L-1. Bensulfuron methyl was found to be slow acting. The mortality of the larvae was only observed after 72 h. However, this herbicide interfered with the emergence of C. kiiensis to adults at and above the recommended dose used in the rice fields. Based on their LC50 values, this study showed that applying these herbicides in the rice fields at doses recommended by the manufacturers was safe for C. kiiensis and presumably to other living organisms in the water.

Ti–51at%Ni shape memory alloys(SmAs) were successfully produced via a powder metallurgy and microwave sintering *** influence of sintering parameters on porosity reduction,microstructure,phase transformation temperatures,and mechanical properties were investigated by optical microscopy,field-emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEm),X-ray diffraction(XRD),differential scanning calorimetry(DSC),compression tests,and microhardness *** the microwave temperature and holding time was found to strongly affect the density of porosity,presence of precipitates,transformation temperatures,and mechanical *** lowest density and smallest pore size were observed in the Ti–51at%Ni samples sintered at 900°C for 5 min or at 900°C for 30 *** predominant martensite phases of β2 and β19′ were observed in the microstructure of Ti–51at%Ni,and their existence varied in accordance with the sintering temperature and the holding *** the DSC thermograms,multi-transformation peaks were observed during heating,whereas a single peak was observed during cooling;these peaks correspond to the presence of the β2,R,and β19′ *** maximum strength and strain among the Ti–51at%Ni SmAs were 1376 mPa and 29%,respectively,for the sample sintered at 900°C for 30 min because of this sample's minimal porosity.

Data release 2(DR2) from the Gaia mission was of great help in precise determination of fundamental parameters of Close Visual Binary and multiple Systems(CVBmSs), especially masses of their components, which are crucial parameters in understanding formation and evolution of stars and galaxies. This article presents the complete set of fundamental parameters for two nearby close visual binary systems(CVBSs), which are HIP 19206 and HIP 84425. We utilised a combination of two methods;the first one is Tokovinin's dynamical method to solve the orbit of the system and to estimate orbital elements and the dynamical mass sum, and the second one is Al-Wardat's method for analysing CVBmSs to estimate the physical parameters of the individual components. The latest method employs grids of kurucz lineblanketed plane parallel model atmospheres to build synthetic Spectral Energy Distributions(SEDs) of the individual components. Trigonometric parallax measurements given by Gaia DR2 and Hipparcos catalogues are used to analyse the two systems. The difference in these measurements yielded slight discrepancies in the fundamental parameters of the individual components, especially masses. So, a new dynamical parallax is suggested in this work based on the most convenient mass sum as given by each of the two methods. The new dynamical parallax for the system HIP 19205 of 22.97±0.95 mas coincides well with the trigonometric one reported recently(in December 2020) by Gaia EDR3 of 22.3689 ± 0.4056 mas. The positions of the components of the two systems on the evolutionary tracks and isochrones are plotted, which suggest that all components are solar-type main sequence stars. Their most probable formation and evolution scenarios are also discussed.

A comparison between different ohmic contacts for ZnO thin films

There are several metals that form ohmic contacts for ZnO thin films, such as copper, aluminum and silver. The aim of this work is to make a comparison between these ohmic contacts. To achieve this purpose, polycrystalline ZnO thin films were prepared by the spray pyrolysis technique, and characterized by the I-V measurements at room temperature. Two strips of each metal were thermally evaporated on the surface of the film and measurements were first recorded in the dark and room light, then in the dark before and after annealing for A1, which was found to be the best in the set. Films with aluminum contacts gave the smallest resistivity, best ohmicity and they are slightly affected by light as required. On the other hand, copper was found to be the worst, and films with copper contacts gave the largest resistivity, worst ohmicity and they are the most affected by light. Annealing improved the aluminum contacts due to alloying and doping.
