Cloud computing has drastically changed the delivery and consumption of live streaming content.The designs,challenges,and possible uses of cloud computing for live streaming are studied.A comprehensive overview of the technical and business issues surrounding cloudbased live streaming is provided,including the benefits of cloud computing,the various live streaming architectures,and the challenges that live streaming service providers face in delivering high‐quality,real‐time services.The different techniques used to improve the performance of video streaming,such as adaptive bit‐rate streaming,multicast distribution,and edge computing are discussed and the necessity of low‐latency and high‐quality video transmission in cloud‐based live streaming is underlined.Issues such as improving user experience and live streaming service performance using cutting‐edge technology,like artificial intelligence and machine learning are discussed.In addition,the legal and regulatory implications of cloud‐based live streaming,including issues with network neutrality,data privacy,and content moderation are addressed.The future of cloud computing for live streaming is examined in the section that follows,and it looks at the most likely new developments in terms of trends and technology.For technology vendors,live streaming service providers,and regulators,the findings have major policy‐relevant implications.Suggestions on how stakeholders should address these concerns and take advantage of the potential presented by this rapidly evolving sector,as well as insights into the key challenges and opportunities associated with cloud‐based live streaming are provided.

Background: The eyebrow supraorbital keyhole approach could be considered a modified minimally invasive model for the classic pterional subfrontal approach in which an eyebrow incision and supraorbital mini craniotomy are performed for exposure of the anterior cranial fossa corridor. Methods: This study was retrospectively conducted on twenty four patients, age ranging from 20 to 65 years old, with anterior cranial fossa lesions who were meeting the eligibility criteria for eyebrow craniotomy in the period from August 2019 to January 2023. These patients were operated through eyebrow supraorbital approach in which microscopic endoscopic assisted technique were used. Extent of resection, clinical and cosmetic outcomes and complication incidence were assessed. Results: We included the twenty four patients who met inclusion criteria (17 females and 7 males) their ages ranged from 20 to 65 years. The most common pathology was meningioma in 19 patients. Two patients experienced supraorbital loss of sensation and only one patient experienced palsy of frontalis branch of facial nerve. Frontal sinus was breached in 3 patients with no patient experienced postoperative CSF leak. Total excision was accomplished for 23 patients. Four patients who had preoperative visual compromise, improvement of visual acuity and field defects was observed in 3 patients. No major intraoperative complications occurred. All patients filled cosmetic satisfaction questionnaire during their outpatient visits. For the eyebrow supraorbital approach, no incision related intolerable pain, no craniotomy defects or irregularities, no cosmetic complaints nor limitation of jaw opening were reported, and only minor symptoms in the form of limited eyebrow elevation, swelling and numbness in the forehead. Conclusions: The eyebrow craniotomy could be used safely as a more cosmetic and minimally invasive approach for a variety of anterior cranial fossa lesions. Dual Image Cryptosystem Using Henon Map and Discrete Fourier Transform

＜正＞A new carlavirus,tentatively named Potato virus H（PVH）,was found to infect potato plants collected from Hohhot of Inner Mongolia for the first time,and was confirmed by further genome sequencing,serologically reaction,electron microscopic observation and host range assay.The complete RNA genomic sequences of two Chinese isolates of PVH have been determined by Reverse transcription PCR（RT-PCR） approach and 5’Rapid amplification of cDNA ends（5’RACE）.Sequence analysis revealed that the PVH had a genomic organization typical of members of the genus Carlavirus with positivesense single-stranded genome being 8 410nt.It shared CP and replicase amino acid sequence identities of 38.2%～57.7%with those of reported carlaviruses.Phylogenetic analyses based on the amino acid sequences of replicase and CP revealed that PVH formed a distinct branch and had much distant relationship with the other carlaviruses.Western blot assays showed that there was not serological relationship between PVH and other potato viruses（PVS,PVM and PoLV）.The PVH particles purified were filamentous and slightly curved,with modal length of 570 nm.Interestingly,PVH could systemically infect Nicotiana glutinosa,but couldn’ t infect Nicotiana tabacum or Nicotiana Benthamiana as other potato carlaviruses did.All these evidences supported the classification of PVH as a novel species in the genus Carlavirus.

This paper introduces an efficient image cryptography system.The pro-posed image cryptography system is based on employing the two-dimensional(2D)chaotic henon map(CHM)in the Discrete Fourier Transform(DFT).The proposed DFT-based CHM image cryptography has two procedures which are the encryption and decryption procedures.In the proposed DFT-based CHM image cryptography,the confusion is employed using the CHM while the diffu-sion is realized using the DFT.So,the proposed DFT-based CHM image crypto-graphy achieves both confusion and diffusion characteristics.The encryption procedure starts by applying the DFT on the image then the DFT transformed image is scrambled using the CHM and the inverse DFT is applied to get the final-ly encrypted image.The decryption procedure follows the inverse procedure of encryption.The proposed DFT-based CHM image cryptography system is exam-ined using a set of security tests like statistical tests,entropy tests,differential tests,and sensitivity tests.The obtained results confirm and ensure the superiority of the proposed DFT-based CHM image cryptography system.These outcomes encourage the employment of the proposed DFT-based CHM image cryptography system in real-time image and video applications.

Long-term complications of the transmeatal approach (Open Transcanal) in cochlear implants: A follow-up study

Objective: Multiple alternative approaches of cochlear implant surgery have been described, such as the suprameatal approach, transcanal approach, transmeatal approach and middle cranial fossa approach.Transmeatal(open trnascanal) approach has not been adapted since first described in the clinical field.we aimed to assess the long-term complications of the transmeatal approach in a series of 131 patients at our center between 2004 and 2008.Methods: This study was a retrospective case series of all patients who underwent cochlear implants with the transmeatal(open transcanal) approach from May 2004 to December 2008 at King Faisal Specialist and Research Hospital(Riyadh, Saudi Arabia), which were conducted by the same surgeon.Results: Complications were observed often with various combinations-recurrent otitis externa, posterior tympanic membrane perforation, electrode extrusion, cholesteatoma, and chronic mastoiditis. The overall long-term complication rate was 16%(21/131). The gap between the implantation and the diagnosis of a complication ranged from <1 year to 11 years. Major complications were as follows:cholesteatoma in 5(3.8%) patients, extrusion of the electrode in 5(3.8%) patients, and tympanic membrane perforation or deep retractions in 5(3.8%) patients. Minor complications were as follows: recurrent mastoiditis with/without concomitant temporary facial nerve palsy in 4(3%) patients, recurrent otitis externa infections in 7(5%) patients, and weakness of the posterior canal wall in 1 patient.Conclusion: The transmeatal approach posed an high rate of complications on long-term follow-up such as cholestetoma formation, extrusion of electrode or perielectrode reaction formation to tympanic membrane and external auditory canal.

Effectiveness and safety of subthreshold vibration over suprathreshold vibration in treatment of muscle fatigue in elderly people

Muscle fatigue is common in many populations,particularly elderlies.Aging increases the incidence of muscle fatigue and delays its recovery.There is a huge debate about the current treatments for muscle fatigue,particularly in elderlies.Recently,it has been discovered that mechanoreceptors have an important role as a sensory system in sensing muscle fatigue which could enhance the body's response to muscle fatigue.The function of mechanoreceptors could be enhanced by applying either suprathreshold or subthreshold vibration.Although suprathreshold vibration improves muscle fatigue,it can cause desensitization of cutaneous receptors,discomfort,and paresthesia,which are barriers to clinical use.Subthreshold vibration has been approved as a safe and effective method of training for mechanoreceptors;however,its use and effectiveness in muscle fatigue have never been tested or explained.Possible physiological effects of subthreshold vibration in the treatment of muscle fatigue include:(1)Enhancing the function of mechanoreceptors themselves;(2)Increasing the firing rate and function of alpha motor neurons;(3)Increasing blood flow to fatigued muscles;(4)Decreasing the rate of muscle cell death in elderlies(sarcopenia);and(5)Driving motor commands and allow better performance of muscles to decrease fatigue incidence.In conclusion,the use of subthreshold vibration could be a safe and effective treatment for muscle fatigue in elderlies.It could enhance recovery from muscle fatigue.Finally,Subthreshold Vibration is safe and effective in treating muscle fatigue in comparison to suprathreshold vibration.

Objectives:This study aimed to determine the prognostic value of otoacoustic emissions(OAEs)in idiopathic sudden sensorineural hearing loss patients.Methods:The study included 30 subjects with unilateral idiopathic sudden sensorineural hearing loss(ISSNHL).Each patient was evaluated four times:at baseline and after one week,one month,and three months of treatment.During each visit,each patient was subjected to full audiological history,otoscopic examination,basic audiological evaluations,and transiently evoked and distortion product otoacoustic emission(TEOAEs&DEOAEs).Results:The hearing thresholds(frequency range 250e8000 Hz)and word recognition scores of patients with detectable TEOAEs and DPOAEs improved significantly,whereas no significant improvements were observed in those with no response.Conclusion:Hearing improvement is better in patients with detectable TEOAEs and DPOAEs.As a result,TEOAEs and DPOAEs are recommended as routine tests in all SSNHL patients to predict outcomes and monitor treatment as TEOAEs and DPOAEs reflect the cochlear OHCs activity.

Hydraulic head difference at two sides of suspended waterproof curtain during multi-grade dewatering of excavation

This paper proposes an approach to calculate the head difference at two sides of suspended waterproof curtains during multi-grade dewatering.The seepage during the dewatering process can be subdivided into three regions:(i)seepage in pit,(ii)seepage between cur-tains,and(iii)seepage outside the pit.The flow rate of the first region is equal to the pumping rate,and the flow rate of the second and third regions can be obtained by numerical analysis.A numerical model is established to simulate the seepage in the second and third regions and its performance is validated by using the measured data of a series of field tests.The flow rate of each region is then used to derive formulae for the head difference in conventional dewatering,which can be used to determine the head difference at two sides of each waterproof curtain during multi-grade dewatering.The proposed formula expresses the head difference as a function of the relative depth of the curtain inserted into the confined aquifer,the thickness of the aquifer,the distance between two curtains,and the anisotropy of the hydraulic conductivity of the aquifer.The proposed numerical approach is further validated by using data derived from numerical analysis.The validation results demonstrated that the predictions of the proposed approach are acceptable and convenient.

Mechanistic studies of the palladium catalyst activation with halide additives are of great importance to palladium catalysis.In this work,XAFS spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry were utilized to study real structures of Pd(OAc)2 in solution with different inorgan-ic halogen additives.XAFS results demonstrate that Pd maintained+2 in the presence of excessive LiCl,LiBr,ZnCl_(2),ZnBr_(2),and Nal.Fitting results of EXAFS spectra revealed that the Pd's first shell is replaced by halogen partially or completely depending on the hal-ogen species.DFT calculations were conducted to identify the most reliable solvated structures.The combined experimental and computational studies elucidate the critical role of inorganic halide additives in Pd chemistry.
