Plants hold biochemical and physiological mechanisms to withstand drought ***,depending on water deficit interval,plant rehydration relies on how it can retain growth or a positive water balance—or rarely *** this study,two species of Hymenaea,one from the Amazon and the other from the Brazilian Cerrado,were investigated for their physiological mechanism associated with growth rehydration upon short-term exposure to drought *** findings demonstrate that Hymenaea courbaril tends to invest in nitrogen to the detriment of carbon compounds,-as it is limited by lower net photosynthesis-and adjust root growth to attenuate drought stress *** contrast,Hymenaea stigonocarpa takes advantage of higher water potential and a basal rate of lower net photosynthesis to support aboveground growth under such ***,it is postulated that there are distinct ways of controlling water status and growth between *** and ***,which are determined either by the ability of the species to keep net photosynthesis at low levels of water content or by favoring the accumulation of nitrogen *** mechanisms were effective with regards to water use efficiency and thus it is reasonable to suggest that strategies are not exclusive and may work under adverse conditions,as observed in Amazon and Brazilian Cerrado ***.

Considering the environment of risks and influences inherent in the decision-making process for credit-granting operations,it has become a matter of survival for financial organizations to seek to improve how they engage in effective decision-making to ensure that their returns on invested capital will meet the expectations established at the beginning of the process.A credit-granting sorting model for financial organizations is *** model aggregates the perspectives of different decision-makers to support an organization in the process of credit analysis and,consequently,to improve its *** decision-making model is based on the ELECTRE TRI-B multicriteria *** sorts credit-granting proposals into three classes,namely credit approved,technical analysis,and credit *** group decision emerges from the decision rules of the organization’s executive *** new proposed approach to dealing with credit-granting results in the systematization of credit analysis,reduction of doubt among decision-makers,avoidance of the emergence of informal groups,reduction of conflicts within a financial organization,and external interferences.

The adaptive arm of the immune system is crucial for appropriate antitumor immune *** is generally accepted that clusters of differentiation 4^(+)(CD4^(+))T cells,which mediate T helper(Th)1 immunity(type 1 immunity),are the primary Th cell subtype associated with tumor *** this review,we discuss evidence showing that antitumor immunity and better prognosis can be associated with distinct Th cell subtypes in experimental mouse models and humans,with a focus on Th2 *** aim of this review is to provide an overview and understanding of the mechanisms associated with different tumor outcomes in the face of immune responses by focusing on the(1)site of tumor development,(2)tumor properties(i.e.,tumor metabolism and cytokine receptor expression),and(3)type of immune response that the tumor initially ***,we discuss how low-tolerance organs,such as lungs and brains,might benefit from a less tissue-destructive immune response mediated by Th2 *** addition,Th2 cells antitumor effects can be independent of CD8^(+)T cells,which would circumvent some of the immune escape mechanisms that tumor cells possess,like low expression of major histocompatibility-I(MHC-I).Finally,this review aims to stimulate further studies on the role of Th2 cells in antitumor immunity and briefly discusses emerging treatment options.

Laser surface texturing is a versatile approach for manufacturing implants with suitable surfaces for *** work explores the use of laser to fabricate NiTi textured implants,testing two dif-ferent groove-based *** performance was evaluated in vivo through implantation in Sprague Dawley rats’femur,being then analyzed after 4 and 12 weeks of ***-out experiments and histological characterization allowed to assess bone-implant bond and osseointegration and to compare the laser textured solutions with non-textured *** showed that,at 4 weeks of implantation,mainly immature woven bone was present whilst at 12 weeks a more mature bone had ***-sidering the largest implantation time(12 weeks),results showed extraction forces considerably higher for textured implants(G2 and G3).Moreover,when comparing G2 and G3,it was found that G2(having the highest textured surface area)displayed the maximum extraction force among all groups,with an increase of 212%when compared to non-textured implants(G1).These results prove that the design and manufacturing technology are effective to promote an im-proved bone-implant bond,aiming the development of orthopedic implants.

The ideal crystalline framework of zeolites is perturbed by hydroxyl groups. In pure silica zeolites the framework is neutral, however, the introduction of Al3+into the Si4+oxide framework creates negative charges, giving rise to Br?nsted acid sites (BASs). O?ten referred to as bridged hydroxyls [Si–O(H)–Al], they are formed when a proton is bound to one of the oxygens adjacent to an aluminum.

The present study aims to establish a literature review on intervention programs for executive functions(EFs)through the use of fundamental motor skills,from a neuropsychopedagogical perspective in subjects with Developmental Coordination Disorder(DCD).An exploratory study was carried out through an integrative literature *** research was carried out in the Scientific databases Electronic Library Online(SciELO),Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences(LILACS),Virtual Health Library-Psychology Brazil(BVSPSI),Electronic Journals of Psychology(PePSIC),in the periodicals available in the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations(BDTD)and on the website of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel(CAPES).The covering publications took place from 2018 to 2023,14 articles were selected for *** literature review made it possible to create strategies for stimulating EF and Visuomotor Functions so that educators and other professionals can better deal with students with *** was perceived the need to carry out and develop more empirical research regarding the intervention of EFs and Visuomotor Functions by educators and professionals,with a greater sampling amplitude,to increase the number of studies that enable interventions both in children and in teenagers with DCD.

Repeat hepatectomy for recurrent colorectal liver metastases:A comparative analysis of short-and long-term results

Background: Liver recurrence after resection of colorectal liver metastases(CRLM) is frequent. Repeat hepatectomy has been shown to have satisfactory perioperative results. However, the long-term outcomes and the benefts for patients with early recurrence have not been clarifed. The aim of this study was to compare the short-and long-term outcomes of patients undergoing single hepatectomy and repeat hepatectomy for CRLM. Additionally, the oncological outcomes of patients with early( ≤ 6 months) and late recurrence who underwent repeat hepatectomy were compared. Methods: Consecutive adult patients undergoing hepatectomy for CRLM between June 20 0 0 and February 2020 were included and divided into two groups: single hepatectomy and repeat hepatectomy. Results: A total of 709 patients were included: 649 in the single hepatectomy group and 60 in the repeat hepatectomy group. Patients in the repeat hepatectomy group underwent more cycles of preoperative chemotherapy [4(3-6) vs. 3(2-4), P = 0.003]. Patients in the single hepatectomy group more frequently underwent major hepatectomies(34.5% vs. 16.7%, P = 0.004) and had a greater number of lesions resected(2.9 ± 3.6 vs. 1.9 ± 1.8, P = 0.011). There was no increase in operative time, estimated blood loss, length of hospital stay, complications, or mortality in the repeat hepatectomy group. There were no differences in overall survival( P = 0.626) and disease-free survival( P = 0.579) between the two groups. Similarly, for patients underwent repeat hepatectomy, no difference was observed between the early and late recurrence groups in terms of overall survival( P = 0.771) or disease-free survival( P = 0.350). Conclusions: Repeat hepatectomy is feasible and safe, with similar short-and long-term outcomes when compared to single hepatectomy. Surgical treatment of early liver recurrence offers similar oncological outcomes to those obtained for late recurrence.

Over the years,several studies demonstrated the crucial role of knee menisci in joint *** a result,save the meniscus has become the new imperative nowadays,and more and more studies addressed this *** huge amount of data on this topic may create confusion in those who want to approach this *** aim of this review is to provide a practical guide for treatment of meniscus tears,including an overview of technical aspects,outcomes in the literature and personal *** inspiration from a famous movie directed by Sergio Leone in 1966,the authors classified meniscus tears in three categories:The good,the bad and the ugly *** inclusion in each group was determined by the lesion pattern,its biomechanical effects on knee joint,the technical challenge,and *** classification is not intended to substitute the currently proposed classifications on meniscus tears but aims at offering a readerfriendly narrative review of an otherwise difficult ***,the authors provide a concise premise to deal with some aspects of menisci phylogeny,anatomy and biomechanics.

This paper applies the concepts and methods of complex networks to the development of models and simulations of master-slave distributed real-time systems by introducing an upper bound in the allowable delivery time of the packets with computation results. Two representative intercom nection models are taken into account： Uniformly random and scale free （Barabasi-Albert）, including the presence of background traffic of packets. The obtained results include the identification of the uniformly random interconnectivity scheme as being largely more efficient than the scale-free counterpart. Also, increased latency tolerance of the application provides no help under congestion.
