Cluster flies are represented by the genus Pollenia Robineau-Desvoidy,1830 of the family Polleniidae Brauer and Bergenstamm,*** larvae are known to be internal parasites or predators of ***,we report for the first time the occurrence of the cluster flies Pollenia rudis Fabricius,1794 and Pollenia vagabunda(Meigen,1826)(Diptera:Polleniidae)on carcasses in Algeria and identify them through DNA barcoding.A region of the mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase I gene(COI)was amplified and *** distances were determined.A phylogenetic tree was constructed with the maximum parsimony method using 10000 bootstrap replicates.A total number of 157 adults of *** were collected together with 325 adults of Pollenia *** occurrence of Pollenia on animal carcasses does not seem to be correlated with a particular stage of *** the sequences were correctly identified using the BLASTn tool from the GenBank database and the BOLD identification ***-and interspecific sequence divergence values were less than 1%and greater than 3%,*** barcodes obtained from this study were robust enough to identify and distinguish unambiguously between *** and *** the tree-based analysis,the cluster flies were all assigned to their respective species separately from each other confirming the morphological *** results provide DNA barcodes that contribute to the growth of reference databases and allow fast and accurate identification.

This work presents the results of a set of steady-state numerical simulations about heat transfer in hollow blocks in the presence of coupled natural convection,conduction and *** with two air cells deep in the vertical direction and three identical cavities in the horizontal direction are considered(typically used for building ceilings).Moreover,their outside horizontal surface is subjected to an incident solar flux and outdoor environment temperature while the inside surface is exposed to typical indoor environment *** flows are considered laminar and two-dimensional over the whole range of parameters *** conservation equations are solved by means of a finite difference method based on the control volumes approach,relying on the SIMPLE algorithm for what concerns the coupling of pressure and *** effects of the number of cells in the horizontal direction and the thermal conductivity on the heat transfer through the alveolar structure have been *** results show that the number of holes has a significant impact on the value of the overall heat flux through the considered structure.

In this paper,some effort is provided to optimize the geometry of a concrete hollow brick(used in the construction of building roofs)in order to increase the related thermal resistance,thereby reducing energy *** analysis is conducted for three different configurations of the hollow concrete *** of conduction,natural convection and thermal radiation phenomena is ***,the flows are assumed to be laminar and two-dimensional for the whole range of parameters *** conservation equations are solved by a finite difference method based on the control volumes approach and the SIMPLE algorithm for velocity-pressure *** results show that the aspect ratio affects neither the nature of the fluid flow nor the number of convective ***,the extension of the circulation cells increases with this ***,the cavities with a large aspect ratio lead to significant reductions in the heat transfer through the hollow block,these reductions reaching approximately 14%.

Endpoint detection （EPD） is very important undertaking on the side of getting a good understanding and figuring out if a plasma etching process is done on the right way. It is truly a crucial part of supplying repeatable effects in every single wafer. When the film to be etched has been completely erased, the endpoint is reached. In order to ensure the desired device performance on the produced integrated circuit, many sensors are used to detect the endpoint, such as the optical, electrical, acoustical/vibrational, thermal, and frictional. But, except the optical sensor, the other ones show their weaknesses due to the environmental conditions which affect the exactness of reaching endpoint. Unfortunately, some exposed area to the film to be etched is very low （〈0.5%）, reflecting low signal and showing the incapacity of the traditional endpoint detection method to determine the wind-up of the etch process. This work has provided a means to improve the endpoint detection sensitivity by collecting a huge numbers of full spectral data containing 1201 spectra for each run, then a new unsophisticated algorithm is proposed to select the important endpoint traces named shift endpoint trace selection （SETS）. Then, a sensitivity analysis of linear methods named principal component analysis （PCA） and factor analysis （FA）, and the nonlinear method called wavelet analysis （WA） for both approximation and details will be studied to compare performances of the methods mentioned above. The signal to noise ratio （SNR） is not only computed based on the main etch （ME） period but also the over etch （OE） period. Moreover, a new unused statistic for EPD, coefficient of variation （CV）, is proposed to reach the endpoint in plasma etches process.

Lost circulation is an expensive and critical problem in the drilling *** of dollars are spent every year to mitigate or stop this *** this work,data from over 3000 wells were collected from multiple *** data went through a processing step where all outliers were removed and decision rules were set *** machine learning methods(support vector machine,decision trees,logistic regression,artificial neural networks,and ensemble trees)were used to create a model that can predict the best lost circulation treatment based on the type of loss and the reason of loss.5-fold cross-validation was conducted to ensure no overfitting in the created *** using all the aforementioned machine learning methods to train models to choose the best lost circulation treatment,overall,the results showed that support vector machine had the highest accuracy among the other ***,it was selected to train the *** created model went through quality control/quality assurance(QC/QA)to limit the results of incorrect *** treatments were suggested to treat partial loss,four to treat severe loss,and seven for complete loss,based on the reason of *** addition,a formalized methodology to respond to lost circulation was provided to help the drilling personnel handling lost circulation in the field.

Objective:To test Candonocypris novaezelandiae(Baird)(***),sub-class Ostracoda,obtained from the Nile,Egypt for its predatory activity on snail,Biomphalaria alexandrina(***),intermediate host of Schistosoma mansoni(***)and on the free-living larval stages of this parasite(miracidia and cercariae).Methods:The predatory activity of *** was determined on *** snail(several densities of eggs,newly hatched and juveniles).This activity was also determined on *** miracidia and cercariae using different volumes of water and different numbers of *** was also tested for its effect on infection of snails and on the cercarial ***:*** was found to feed on the eggs,newly hatched and juvenile snails,but with significant reduction in the consumption in the presence of other diet like the blue green algae(Nostoc muscorum).This ostracod also showed considerable predatory activity on the free-living larval stages of *** which was affected by certain environmental factors such as volume of water,density of *** and number of larvae of the ***:The presence of this ostracod in the aquatic habitat led to significant reduction of snail population,infection rate of snails with schistosme miracidia as well as of cercarial production from the infected *** may suggest that introducing *** into the habitat at schistosome riskv sites could suppress the transmission of the disease.

A translucent wooden substrate with long-lasting phosphorescence,high photostability and durability,tough surface,ultraviolet protection,high optical transmittance,and superhydrophobicity was *** long-lasting phosphorescent wooden substrate is able to continue emitting light for extended time ***-modified wood(LMW)was immobilized with a solution of epoxy resin(ER)and rare-earth doped aluminate(REDA)phosphor nanoparticles(NPs).For an improved dispersion of pigment,REDA was synthesized in a nanoscale particle size,and characterized by transmission electron microscopy(TEM)to indicate a particle size of 8-14 *** crystal structure of REDA nanoparticles was also proved by X-ray diffraction(XRD).For an improved production of long-persistent phosphorescent colo rless woods,REDA must be well-dispersed in MAA without *** and emissio n,as well as decay and lifetime spectra were *** morphologies of the wooden substrates with different ratios of REDA were investigated by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray fluorescence(XRF)analysis,Fourier transform infrared spectra(FT-IR),elemental mapping,and energy-dispersion Xray(EDXA).The phosphorescent woods show changes in color from colorless to green under ultraviolet(UV)irradiation,and to yellowish-green in the dark,as proved by the colorimetric parameters of the CIE Lab *** afterglow wood samples display an absorbance band at 365 nm and two phosphorescent bands at 431 and 520 *** UV shielding,photostability,and hydrophobicity were *** increasing REDA ratio,both static contact and slide angles are found to improve in the ranges of147.6°-163.6°and 9°-14°,*** long-lasting photoluminescence is optimized at a REDA ratio of 8%.The present strategy shows a large-scale production approach of multiple functional woods for many potential applications,such as smart glow in the dark windows and safety signs.

Design pattern suggests that developers must be able to reuse proven solutions emerging from the best design practices to solve common design problems while composing patterns to create reusable designs that can be mapped to different types of enterprise frameworks and architectures such as The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF). Without this, business analysts, designers and developers are not properly applying design solutions or take full benefit of the power of patterns as reuse blocks, resulting in poor performance, poor scalability, and poor usability. Furthermore, these professionals may “reinvent the wheel” when attempting to implement the same design for different types of architectures of TOGAF framework. In this paper, we introduce different categories of design patterns as a vehicle for capturing and reusing good analyses, designs and implementation applied to TOGAF framework while detailing a motivating exemplar on how design patterns can be composed to create generic types of architectures of TOGAF framework. Then, we discuss why patterns are a suitable for developing and documenting various architectures including enterprise architectures as TOGAF.

Fast prediction of indoor airflow distribution inspired by synthetic image generation artificial intelligence

Prediction of indoor airflow distribution often relies on high-fidelity,computationally intensive computational fluid dynamics(CFD)*** intelligence(Al)models trained by CFD data can be used for fast and accurate prediction of indoor airflow,but current methods have limitations,such as only predicting limited outputs rather than the entire flow ***,conventional Al models are not always designed to predict different outputs based on a continuous input range,and instead make predictions for one or a few discrete *** work addresses these gaps using a conditional generative adversarial network(CGAN)model approach,which is inspired by current state-of-the-art Al for synthetic image *** create a new Boundary Condition CGAN(BC-CGAN)model by extending the original CGAN model to generate 2D airflow distribution images based on a continuous input parameter,such as a boundary ***,we design a novel feature-driven algorithm to strategically generate training data,with the goal of minimizing the amount of computationally expensive data while ensuring training quality of the Al *** BC-CGAN model is evaluated for two benchmark airflow cases:an isothermal lid-driven cavity flow and a non-isothermal mixed convection flow with a heated *** also investigate the performance of the BC-CGAN models when training is stopped based on different levels of validation error *** results show that the trained BC-CGAN model can predict the 2D distribution of velocity and temperature with less than 5%relative error and up to about 75,ooo times faster when compared to reference CFD *** proposed feature-driven algorithm shows potential for reducing the amount of data and epochs required to train the Al models while maintaining prediction accuracy,particularly when the flow changes non-linearlywith respectto an input.
