Objective:To investigate the antibacterial activity and phytochemical screening of the *** and petroleum ether leaf extracts of Merremia emarginata(***).Methods:The antibavterial activity of leaf extracts of *** were evaluated by agar well diffusion method against four selected bacterial ***:The presence of tannins,flavonoids,amino acids,starch,glycosides and carbohydrates in the different leaf extracts was *** methanol extract was more effective against Baciilus cereus and Eseherkhia coli,whereas aqueous extract was more effective against Staphylococcus aureus and pseudomonas ***:The results in the present study suggest that *** leaf can be used in treating diseases caused by the tested organisms.

Targeted therapies that deliver the expected anti-tumor effects while mitigating the adverse effects are taking the cancer world by storm. The need for such therapies in non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC), where systemic cytotoxic chemotherapies still remain the backbone of management, is felt more than ever before. Runway success of immunotherapies such as Ipilimumab for melanoma has brought excitement among oncologists. Immune-based treatments are in various stages of evaluation for NSCLC as well. Immunotherapies using strategies of antigen based or cell based vaccines, and blocking immune checkpoints are of substantial interest. Meaningful clinical responses are yet to be reaped from these new treatment modalities.

Objective:To identify the safe and effective natural inhibitors of spike glycoprotein and main protease 3CLpro using potential natural antiviral compounds which are studied under various animal models and viral cell ***:First,compounds were retrieved from the pub Chem database and predicted for their druggability using the Mol Soft web server,and compounds having drug-like property were predicted for major adverse drug reactions like cardiotoxicity,hepatotoxicity,arrhythmia,myocardial infarction,and nephrotoxicity using *** of nontoxic antiviral compounds with spike glycoprotein and main protease 3CLpro was performed using Auto Dock vina by pyRx 0.8 *** stability of compoundprotein interactions was checked by molecular dynamic(MD)simulation using Schrodinger Desmond ***:Based on the druggable and nontoxic profile,nine compounds were *** them,Withanone from Withania somnifera showed the highest binding affinity and best fit at active sites 1 of spike glycoprotein(glycosylation site)and main protease 3CLpro via interacting with active site amino acid residues before and after MD simulation at 50 ***,which may reduce the glycosylation of SARS-CoV-2 via interacting with Asn343 and inhibit viral ***:The current study reports Withanone as a non-toxic antiviral against SARS-CoV-2 and serve as a potential lead hit for further experimental validation.

Objective:To investigate the hepatoprotective activity of methanolic leaf extract of Cyathea gigantea(***)against paracetamol induced liver damage in ***:The hepatoprotective activity for plant extract was investigated for paracetamol induced hepatoxicity in *** albino rats of either sex were divided into five groups of 6 animals each and are given orally the following treatment for seven *** normal control group was given 1%*** 1mL/kg bw,*** at dose of 1g/kg bw,*** given as toxic dose for inducing ***(50mg/kg.p.o.) was given as reference *** doses of C. gigantea extract i.e.,100 mg/*** 200 mg/kg,*** tested for hepatoprotective activity. The treatment was given for seven days and after 24 h of last treatment blood was collected from retro-orbital plexus and analysed for various serum parameters like serum glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase(SGOT),serum glutamic pyruvic transaminase(SGpT),alkaline phosphatase(ALp),total bilirubin(TB)and total protein(Tp)in different ***:The paracetamol intoxication lead to histological and biochemical *** treatment with methanolic leaf extract of *** reduced the elevated levels of SCOT,SGpT,ALp,TB and also reversed the hepatic damage towards normal which further supports the hepatoprotective activity of leaf extract of ***:The methanolic extract of leaves of *** at doses of 100 mg/kg bw and 200 mg/kg bw have significant effect on liver of paracetamol induced hepatotoxicity model in rats.

We report the miscibility characteristics of two components in a binary mixture of 9-phenyl anthracene （pA） mixed with stearic acid （SA） or polymethyl methacrylate （pMMA）. The behaviour of surface pressure versus area per molecule isotherms reveal that the area per molecule decreases systematically with increasing molefractions of pA. The characteristics of areas per molecule versus molefractions and collapse pressure vs molefraction indicate that various interactions involved among the sample and matrix molecules. The interaction scheme is found to change with the change in surface pressure and molefraction of mixing. Scanning electron microscopic study confirms the aggregation of pA molecules in the mixed films.

On May 29, 2017, the MW6.6 poso earthquake occurred in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, causing moderate damages. The mainshock rupture and primary aftershock cluster occurred in the active palolo-Sausu tectonic zone, and some aftershocks also took place around the Tokararu fault. However, the rupture mechanism of this earthquake and its relation to regional tectonics are not clear. In this study, the rupture process of the poso mainshock is estimated by finite-fault waveform inversion, which is constrained by teleseismic bodies and surface waves. The rupture propagates upward unilaterally in a southwest-dipping moderate-angle(~34°) normal fault beneath Tokorondo Mountains, with a notable~15% initial moment release at the first 4 s of the ~12 s rupture duration. The average and peak slip are0.5 m and 1.5 m, respectively. The rupture velocity is relatively slow(less than 2.5 km/s), and the Coulomb stress changes due to the mainshock are obtained using the inverted coseismic slip.
