●AIM:To assess the necessity of neuroimaging in patients with neurological or atypical findings of normal tension glaucoma(NTG)who do not exhibit typical glaucoma manifestations.●METHODS:A retrospective analysis was conducted on 90 atypical NTG patients who underwent cranial magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)due to atypical *** demographic characteristics,clinical parameters,and radiological findings were recorded.●RESULTS:Among the patients,66.7%had abnormal radiology results,with the most common findings being gliosis(34.4%),sequelae of cerebrovascular events and vascular malformations(14.4%),and benign intracranial mass lesions(11%).Non-glaucomatous visual field defects were more frequently observed in patients with abnormal neuroimaging ***,there were no significant differences in intraocular pressure,optic disc parameters,retinal nerve fiber layer thickness,and visual field indices between patients with normal and abnormal radiological *** mean age of the patients was ***,there was a significant age difference,with the abnormal radiology group having a higher median age(P=0.021).●CONCLUSION:The study highlights the importance of cranial imaging in older NTG patients to detect underlying pathologies and prevent *** suggests that neuroimaging may be warranted in NTG patients with atypical visual field defects incompatible with ***,routine neuroimaging in all NTG patients without classic neurological signs may not be necessary.

The demand for industrial enzymes is continually rising,fueled by the growing need to shift towards more sustainable industrial ***,making efficient enzyme production strains and identifying optimal enzyme expression conditions remains a ***,the production of the enzymes themselves comes with unavoidable impacts,e.g.,the need to utilize secondary ***,we take a more holistic view of bioprocess development and report an integrative approach that allows us to rapidly identify improved enzyme expression and secretion conditions and make use of cyanobacterial waste biomass as feed for supporting Pichia pastoris *** demonstrate these capabilities by producing a phytase secreted by *** that is grown on cyanobacterium hydrolysate and buffered glycerol-complex(BMGY)medium,with genetic expression conditions identified by high-throughput screening of a randomized se-cretion *** our best-performing strain is grown in a fed-batch fermentation on BMGY,we reach over 7000 U/mL in three days.

Inborn errors of immunity(IEI)disorders,formerly primary immune deficiency diseases,are a heterogeneous group of disorders with variable hereditary transitions,clinical manifestations,complications and varying disease *** of the clinical symptoms,signs and complications in IEI patients can be attributed to inflammatory and immune dysregulatory processes due to loss of microbial diversity(dysbiosis).For example,in common variable immunodeficiency patients,the diversity of bacteria,but not fungi,in the gut microbiota has been found to be reduced and significantly ***,this was associated with a more severe disease *** of the STAT3/Th17 pathway in hyper-IgE syndrome may lead to dysbiosis of the oral microbiota in these patients,causing Candida albicans to switch from commensal to *** of the microbiota can be used as a therapeutic approach in patients with ***,probiotics,postbiotics and fecal microbiota transplantation can be used to restore the balance of the gut microbiota and reduce pathogenicity in IEI *** trials are currently underway to understand the impact of this dysbiosis on the phenotype of IEI diseases and its role in their treatment.

The aim of this study was ***,it analyzed the characteristics of the publication outputs for the Legal Medicine(LM)category using the Web of Science(WoS)database during ***,it discussed the distribution of the papers for the 25 most productive countries/regions in terms of quality and quantity,such as the h-index and GDP per ***,it investigated the trend and temporal stability of the journal impact factor(JIF)and determined the percentage of the journal *** findings suggested that the number of papers,the average number of pages of the papers,the average number of cited references in the papers,the average number of authors per paper,the percentage of open access papers,as well as international and domestic collaboration tended to increase ***,the productivity was limited when compared to the whole WoS database,since there was no significant change in the number of the *** countries/regions with the highest number of publications were not those that made the most impact in terms of the widespread impact of the *** level of international cooperation and the funding for the research had dramatic impact on the visibility of *** average JIF has increased significantly while the journal self-citation rates have decreased in a similar *** journals have had very stable(have not fluctuated)impact factors over *** the period studied,the journals with the higher impact factors(Q1,Q2)published many more papers than journals with the lower impact factors(Q3,Q4).

The diameter distribution of trees in a stand provides the basis for determining the stand’s ecological and economic value,its structure and stability and appropriate management *** pine(Pinus sylvestris L.)is one of the most common and important conifers in Turkey,so a well-planned management schedule is *** distribution models to accurately describe the stand structure help improve management strategies,but developing reliable models requires a deep understanding of the growth,output and constraints of the *** most important information derived by diameter distribution models is primary data on horizontal stand structure for each diameter class of trees:basal area and volume per unit *** predictions are required to estimate the range of products and predicted volume and yield from a forest ***,to construct an accurate,reliable diameter distribution model for natural Scots pine stands in the Türkmen Mountain region,we used Johnson’s SBdistribution to represent the empirical diameter distributions of the stands using ground-based measurements from 55 sample plots that included1219 trees in natural distribution zones of the *** an alternative,nonparametric approach,which does not require any predefined function,an artificial intelligence model was constructed based on support vector machine *** error index was calculated to evaluate the ***,both Johnson’s SB probability density function with a three-parameter recovery approach and the support vector regression methodology provided reliable estimates of the diameter distribution of these stands.

High resistance rates to antimicrobials continue to be a global health *** incidence of multidrug-resistant(MDR)microorganisms in intensive care units(ICUs)is quite high compared to in the community and other unitsin the hospital because ICU patients are generally older,have higher numbers of co-morbidities and immunesuppressed;moreover,the typically high rates of invasive procedures performed in the ICU increase the risk ofinfection by MDR *** stewardship(AMS)refers to the implementation of coordinatedinterventions to improve and track the appropriate use of antibiotics while offering the best possible antibioticprescription(according to dose,duration,and route of administration).Broad-spectrum antibiotics are frequentlypreferred in ICUs because of greater infection severity and colonization and infection by MDR *** this reason,a number of studies on AMS in ICUs have increased in recent *** the use of broadspectrum antibiotics forms the basis of *** this purpose,parameters such as establishing an AMS team,limiting the use of broad-spectrum antimicrobials,terminating treatments early,using early warning systems,pursuing infection control,and providing education and feedback are *** this review,current AMS practicesin ICUs are discussed.

based on our analysis of the contributions from the connected and disconnected contraction diagrams to the pion-kaon scattering amplitude,we provide the first determination of the only free low-energy constant at O(p^(4)),known as L_(0)^(r),in SU(4|1)Partially-Quenched Chiral Perturbation theory using the data from the Extended Twisted Mass collaboration,L_(0)^(r)(μ=M_(ρ))=0.77(20)(25)(7)(7)(2)·10^(-3).The theory uncertainties originate from the unphysical scattering length,the physical low-energy constants,the higher-order chiral corrections,the(lattice)meson masses and the pion decay constant,respectively.
