蚊子是非常危险的生物,极易传播疟疾、脑炎、黄热病和登革热等疾病。本文综述了不同环保涂层在防蚊方面的应用。来自不同种类植物的根、茎、叶、花、果实和种子的酏剂显示出驱蚊特性,可用作纺织品涂层剂,且它们在本质上是生态友好型的,对人体无任何伤害。可将这些酏剂直接应用或微胶囊化后对织物进行整理,并通过驱蚊行为测试进行评估。测试主要包括驱蚊效度和耐洗性测试。通过对柠檬草、桉树和印楝3种不同驱蚊提取物的研究发现,柠檬草的驱蚊性能优于桉树和印楝。桉树和印度楝树对蚊子的驱蚊效果没有明显的差异。应用这3种驱蚊剂后,织物的物理性能表明,随着驱蚊剂用量的增加织物面密度也在增加,但织物的撕裂强度和拉伸强度等其他性能没有受到明显的影响。

Background: Head and neck cancers (HNCs) are a heterogeneous group of tumors that progress owing to varied enviromental and genetic risk factors. Viral infections are threatening and adept at altering the expression of cellular transcription factors such as nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) and deregulation of other cellular proteins like NF kappa B inhibitor alpha (IκBα). The present study was conducted to detect high-risk genotypes of human papillomavirus (HPV) and protein expression of NF-κB signaling pathway in HNC patients with HPV ***: For HPV detection, genomic DNA from 152 HNC tumors was extracted formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue DNA kit. For genotyping, polymerase chain reaction (PCR) using a general primer, HPV type-specific primers and agarose gel electrophoresis were performed. Immunohistochemistry (IHC) was also performed on 4-μm thick tissue sections using HPV E6 monoclonal antibody. Protein expression analysis of NF-κB signaling pathway including p50, p65, and IκBα was performed using ***: PCR analysis showed that 24.3% (37/152) of HNC cases were HPV positive. Among HPV positive, 86.5% (32/37) were tobacco users, while among HPV negative, 66.9% (77/115) were tobacco users. A significant association of HPV positivity and tobacco user was observed by univariate analysis [P < 0.01;odds ratio (OR): 0.310, 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.110 to 0.870]. More HPV positive patients were with poor oral hygiene (78.3%) when compared with patients with good oral hygiene (21.6%) [P < 0.03, OR: 2.440, 95% CI: 1.650 to 3.600]. The results of the logistic regression analysis showed that age, tobacco use and oral hygiene are significant predictors (P < 0.02). PCR and IHC staining results confirmed that HPV16 was predominant among HNC cases (64.8%) when compared with HPV18 (35.2%). Age estimation using forensics odontology is an important process in identifying victims in criminal or mass disaster ***,this process is done manually by human ***,the speed and accuracy may vary depending on the expertise level of the human expert and other human factors such as level of fatigue and *** improve the recognition speed and consistency,researchers have proposed automated age estimation using deep learning techniques such as Convolutional Neural Network(CNN).CNN requires many training images to obtain high percentage of recognition ***,it is very difficult to get large number of samples of dental images for training the CNN due to the need to comply to privacy acts.A promising solution to this problem is a technique called Generative Adversarial Network(GAN).GAN is a technique that can generate synthetic images that has similar statistics as the training set.A variation of GAN called Conditional GAN(CGAN)enables the generation of the synthetic images to be controlled more precisely such that only the specified type of images will be *** paper proposes a CGAN for generating new dental images to increase the number of images available for training a CNN model to perform age *** also propose a pseudolabelling technique to label the generated images with proper age and *** used the combination of real and generated images to trainDentalAge and Sex Net(DASNET),which is a CNN model for dental age *** on the experiment conducted,the accuracy,coefficient of determination(R2)and Absolute Error(AE)of DASNET have improved to 87%,0.85 and 1.18 years respectively as opposed to 74%,0.72 and 3.45 years when DASNET is trained using real,but smaller number of images.

This article explores the progress of the healthcare sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia over the past two decades. Through continuous coordination and efforts to improve the quality and quantity of health services, the government has significantly increased the availability of health facilities across the nation. This steady growth has allowed the country to maintain an upward trajectory in healthcare sector development in comparison to other countries. The Saudi Arabian government is preparing to implement Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) as part of their “Vision 2030.” By aligning with the goals of this visionary roadmap, the government aims to address the challenges faced by the existing healthcare system under the Ministry of Health (MOH). This strategic move is expected to transform the healthcare sector, positioning Saudi Arabia at par with its international counterparts and bolstering its economic competitiveness. This article highlights the historical context of Saudi Arabia’s healthcare system, and compares it with the forthcoming ACO implementation under “Vision 2030.” This information provides valuable insights into the trajectory of the country’s healthcare landscape and the potential impact of ACOs in shaping the Kingdom’s future in healthcare and economic development overall.

While scan-based compression is widely utilized in order to alleviate the test time and data volume problems,the overall compression level is dictated not only by the chain to channel ratio but also the ratio of encodable *** increasing the number of scan chains in an effort to raise the compression levels may reduce the ratio of encodable patterns,degrading the overall compression *** this paper,we present various methods to improve the ratio of encodable *** methods are based on manipulating the care bit distribution of an unencodable pattern,thereby rendering it compliant with the correlation induced by the decompressor, and thus converting it into an encodable *** proposed transformations,which are simple yet effective,target improvements over fanout and XOR decompressors,while they can be utilized to enhance other types of decompressors, such as multiplexer-based ones;simple nature of these transformations help preserve the simplicity benefits of combinational *** bit manipulation is effected in the form of selective chain delay, selective slice rotate/invert, or both. By developing computationally efficient algorithms and cost-effective hardware blocks for these manipulation methods, we show that the encodability, and thus the compression levels, of stimulus decompressors can be significantly improved through the practical and design flow compatible solution that we propose.

Prevalence of Dysmenorrhea among Female Adolescents in Dubai: A Cross-Sectional Study

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the prevalence of dysmenorrhea among adolescents in Dubai, and its effect on their academic and athletic performance. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study conducted in ten randomly selected private and government high schools in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Using both the English and Arabic translated version of the Women’s Health Symptom Survey Questionnaire World, data was collected from 456 female students of grades 7 - 12, aged 11 - 19 years. Results: Dysmenorrhea was a crucial problem reported by 432 (94.7%) of the participants. Of the total number, 208 (45%) participants reported experiencing severe pain during menstruation and 152 (33.4%) students reported being absent from school during every menstrual cycle. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) were used by 147 (32.3%) students, and majority reported no or little improvement. The percentage of students who experienced menstrual pain with micturition or defecation was 43.1% and 46.7%, respectively. None of the participants reported the use of hormonal agents. Conclusion: The unexpected high number of female adolescents who reported symptoms of primary dysmenorrhea necessitating treatment, as well as subsequent school absenteeism, calls for implementation of a screening questionnaire for early detection of persistent primary dysmenorrhea. Moving from surgical to clinical diagnosis of endometriosis can contribute greatly to improving the quality of life and reproductivity of female adolescents with severe dysmenorrhea.

Scan Cell Positioning for Boosting the Compression of Fan-Out Networks

Ensuring a high manufacturing test quality of an integrated electronic circuit mandates the application of a large volume test set. Even if the test data can be fit into the memory of an external tester, the consequent increase in test application time reflects into elevated production costs. Test data compression solutions have been proposed to address the test time and data volume problem by storing and delivering the test data in a compressed format, and subsequently by expanding the data on-chip. In this paper, we propose a scan cell positioning methodology that accompanies a compression technique in order to boost the compression ratio, and squash the test data even further. While we present the application of the proposed approach in conjunction with the fan-out based decompression architecture, this approach can be extended for application along with other compression solutions as well. The experimental results also confirm the compression enhancement of the proposed methodology.

This paper discusses the impact of e-governance powered by blockchain in the project and program management industry. With the rise in technological innovations, many countries have turned to e-governance for efficiency in service delivery, transparency, and decision-making. E-governance backed by blockchain technology entails improving the public services provision by implementing structures of information and communication technologies. There are many challenges with the traditional project management approach that causes organizations and its stakeholders’ cost and time. Thus, the introduction of blockchain has given many organizations a new approach to adopt in order to eliminate the challenges associated with the typical project management approach. In spite of the cutting-edge technology of blockchain and its broad applications in program management and e-governance, there are still many challenges that restrain its adoption on a broader scale. The research discusses the challenges of the blockchain deployment in the program management field and e-governance in private and government sectors and it highlights the efforts put by both sectors to make use of the technology. Also, the research covers the opportunities and the advantages of a blockchain adoption in various segments. The paper uses various case studies in the UAE, in both private and government sectors, and a qualitative research approach was implemented. The case studies were on government entities such as Smart Dubai and the Ministry of Health Prevention and also private entities like DP World and Emirates NBD. The paper concludes with recommendations and solutions on how to maximize the benefit of blockchain in the program management industry and how it is improving the decision-making process.
