In current days,the domain of Internet of Things(IoT)and Wireless Sensor Networks(WSN)are combined for enhancing the sensor related data transmission in the forthcoming networking *** and routing techniques are treated as the effective methods highly used to attain reduced energy consumption and lengthen the lifetime of the WSN assisted IoT *** this view,this paper presents an Ensemble of Metaheuristic Optimization based QoS aware Clustering with Multihop Routing(EMOQoSCMR)Protocol for IoT assisted *** proposed EMO-QoSCMR protocol aims to achieve QoS parameters such as energy,throughput,delay,and *** proposed model involves two stage processes namely clustering and ***,the EMO-QoSCMR protocol involves crossentropy rain optimization algorithm based clustering(CEROAC)technique to select an optimal set of cluster heads(CHs)and construct ***,oppositional chaos game optimization based routing(OCGOR)technique is employed for the optimal set of routes in the IoT assisted *** proposed model derives a fitness function based on the parameters involved in the IoT nodes such as residual energy,distance to sink node,*** proposed EMOQoSCMR technique has resulted to an enhanced NAN of 64 nodes whereas the LEACH,PSO-ECHS,E-OEERP,and iCSHS methods have resulted in a lesser NAN of 2,10,42,and 51 *** performance of the presented protocol has been evaluated interms of energy efficiency and network lifetime.

Modeling two-dimensional overland flow across complex real-world topography is a challenging problem. Predicting the overland flow variables for various whatif rainfall scenarios can facilitate designing water infrastructure components aimed at preventing inundation and urban flooding. Numerical models that are being used range from those that solve the simplified St. Venant equations to CFD models that solve the complete three dimensional Navier-Stokes equations. In this work, the performance of the USGS Diffusion Hydrodynamic Model (DHM) for a series of overland flow test problems was tested by comparing numerical solutions obtained for an event-driven simulation across various sensitive parameter combinations. The reliability of the model and its ability to incorporate various topographical characteristics in the domain are illustrated.

Examination of Computational Precision versus Modeling Complexity for Open Channel Flow with Hydraulic Jump

In this work, for flow with a hydraulic jump, the predictive capabilities of popular hydraulic models (HEC-RAS and WSPG) are validated with the published results from the three dimensional Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) model (OpenFOAM). The analysis is performed for flows with a Froude number of 6.125 and Reynolds number of 3.54 × 105. While the hydraulic models solve the one-dimensional energy equation, in the CFD model solution of the three dimensional Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations, with a turbulence model, is used. As the results indicate, although the hydraulic models can satisfactorily predict the location of the steady-state jump, the length of the hydraulic jump (i.e. distance from the toe of the jump to a location in tail water zone) and other jump characteristics are better simulated by the CFD model. The solution from hydraulic models is sensitive to the channel bottom roughness value.

Computational modeling continues to evolve in applications of hydrology and hydraulics, and the field of Computational Hydrology and Hydraulics has grown into a significant technology in both engineering and computational mathematics. In this paper, the fundamental issue of assessment of computational error is addressed by determination of an “equivalent” mathematical statement, as a partial differential equation (“PDE”) that describes the original mathematical PDE statement and computational solution of it. In other words, given that the computational model does not exactly solve the governing PDE and that the computational processes used to approximate the governing PDE further moves the computational outcome away from the exact solution, what “alternate” or “equivalent” PDE does the resulting computational model exactly solve? In this paper it is shown that development of such an equivalent PDE enables an assessment of computational error by direct comparison of the equivalent PDE to the original PDE targeted to being solved. As an example, the USGS Diffusion Hydrodynamic Model (“DHM”) is examined as to development of an equivalent PDE that describes the DHM computational modeling outcome, which is then compared to the actual outcomes resulting from application of the DHM model.

This should indeed be the objective all science and technology to make life on our planet peaceful, pleasant and comfortable. The noble objectives of control are fulfilled through its applications which serve humanity. One such application is to process which are designed to produce potable water. Our lecture is aimed at highlighting the control problem in large multistage flash （MSF） desalination processes which are designed to produce potable water from the sea.

The effect of annealing in air and oxygen on structural, electrical and optical properties of gallium doped ZnO thin films was investigated. The X-ray diffraction patterns showed that the films were highly preferentially oriented along (002) plane. After the heat treatment in air and oxygen environments, the intensity of (002) peak was apparently improved. It was found that heat treatment in air atmospheres lead to increase in surface roughness of the film. The GZO films annealed in oxygen at 673 k exhibited low resistivity of 4.21 × 10–3 Ω.cm, while the resistivity of film annealed in air showed a slightly higher value of 7.14 × 10–3 Ω.cm. In addition to this, all films have good optical transmittance about 80% in the visible region. It is found from the photoluminescence studies that the broad visible emissions in GZO films originated from the intrinsic shallow traps (VZn) and deep level vacancies (ZZi, OZn and Vo)

The present study describes the anatomy, distribution, morphology and ultrastructure of laticifer system in the phylloclades of Euphorbia caducifolia Haines (Family Euphorbiaceae), a potential biofuel yielding, Crassulacean Acid Metabolism (CAM) plant for the first time using light and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Histochemical tests were performed to identify the principal components of latex using a variety of stains. In cross section, the phylloclade is composed of four distinct regions: the epidermis, cortex, vascular cylinder and pith. The phylloclade anatomy indicated xeromorphic characters and provided an insight about its capacity to grow with very little rainfall and/or inputs on dry or marginal lands. Non-articulated laticifers are present in the cortex, vascular cylinder and pith, but their frequency varies with the tissue type. Highest laticifer frequency was observed in vascular cylinder (9.6%) followed by cortex (3.9%) and pith regions (1.9%). In contrast, laticifer index was found to be higher in the pith (12.7%) followed by cortex (3.8%) and vascular cylinder (2.3%). The discovery of a system of laticifers in E. caducifolia not described earlier could also be of taxonomic value. The histo-chemical tests revealed the presence of lipids, phenols, flavonoids, protein and starch in laticifer. As described by TEM observations laticifers contained distinct cell wall, nucleus and cytoplasm with ribosomes, small and big vacuoles, mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum, plastids and osmophilic bodies. The lipophilic compounds present in the latex of this species could be used as chemical feedstock for the production of biofuels.

Imprinted Polymer Inclusion Membrane Based Potentiometric Sensor for Determination and Quantification of Diethyl Chlorophosphate in Natural Waters

Biomimetic potentiometric sensor for the determination of diethyl chlorophosphate was developed using im- printed polymer inclusion membrane strategy. Semi-covalent imprinted and non-imprinted polymer particles were synthesized and found that non-imprinted polymer inclusion membrane was unstable in contrast to im- printed polymer inclusion membrane in determination and quantification of diethyl chlorophosphate. Im- printed polymer inclusion membrane based sensor found to be pH dependant with a 5 min equilibrium response time at pH = 10.5 and linearly responds to diethyl chlorophosphate in the concentration range of 1 × 10–9 to 1 × 10–4 and 1 × 10–4 to 1 × 10–1 mol●L–9 with a detection limit of 1 × 10–9 mol●L–1 (0.17 ppb). It was found that diethyl chlorophosphate response was selective against various selected interferents like pinacolyl methylphosphonate, dimethyl methyl phosphonate, methylphosphonic acid, Phorate and 2, 4-D. The devel- oped sensor was found to be stable for 3 months and can be reusable more than 30 times without loosing sensitivity. The developed sensor was successfully applied for the determination of diethyl chlorophosphate in natural waters.

Effect of Added Arabinoxylans Isolated from Good and Poor Chapati Making Wheat Varieties on Rheological Properties of Dough and Chapati Making Quality

Arabinoxylans are the major non-starch polysaccharides in wheat and are reported to influence quality of bakery products. Arabinoxylans were isolated from good and poor chapati making varieties, added them at different levels (0.25 and 0.5 g/100g) to the same flour, interchanged with other varieties and determined the effect of arabinoxylans on rheological properties of dough and chapati making quality. Rheological properties were improved upon adding isolated arabinoxylans of good chapati making varieties to flours. Interestingly, addition of isolated arabinoxylans of good chapati making varieties to poor chapati making varieties had significantly improved the chapati quality. Sensory studies showed that chapatis prepared from flour added with arabinoxylans of good chapati varieties had soft texture and high overall quality scores. These changes are attributed to differences in their arabinose/xylose ratio. Thus, results indicated that addition of isolated arabinoxylans of good chapati making flour improved the chapati quality of poor chapati making flour.
