Objective:To assess the in vitro antibacterial activity of honey from different geographical location on Gram negative ***:Different concentrations(Undiluted honey,10%, 30%,50%and 70%wt/vol) of honey were studied in vitro using Staphylococcus aureus(***) and Streptococcus pyogenes(***),briefly,two-fold dilutions of honey solutions were tested to determine the minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC) against each type of microorganism,followed by more assays within a narrower dilution range to obtain more precise MIC *** were determined by both visual inspection and spectrophotometric assay at 620 *** honey samples were compared with standard antibiotics like ampicillin,penicillin G,amoxicillin,gentamycin,tobramycin,erythromycin and chloramphenicol was determined by the disc diffusion ***:The diameter of zone of the inhibition(ZDI) of honey has various concentrations tested for the isolates ranged 0-46 mm for ***,0-44 mm for *** the MIC(%) ranged 12%-95%,25%-73%***:Algeria honey,in-vitro,possess antibacterial activity.

The current work is focused on the study of the bio-sorption of hexavalent chromium from aqueous solution using sisal natural fiber(Agave sisalana) treated by various chelating agents(ligands) such as urea(UR),thiocarbamide(TC), ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid(EDTA), and diphenyl carbazide(DCZ). The fiber treatments were investigated using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FTIR) and Scanning electron microscope(SEM). The kinetics of chromium bio-sorption was studied in batch presses under the effect of some physicochemical factors such as the nature of chelating agent(F@UR, F@TC, F@DCZ, and F@EDTA),adsorbent dose(2–10 g·L^(-1)), chromium initial concentration(100–500 mg·L^(-1)), solution pH(1–6), and batch temperature(20 ℃–50 ℃). This study resulted in an optimum adsorption at a chromium initial concentration of 100 mg·L^(-1), at pH 2, and at 20 ℃. The obtained results showed clearly that the treatment with chelating agent boosts the adsorptive capacity of A. sisalana fibers Cr(VI) 10.9 mg·g^(-1) to 58.6 mg·g^(-1). The modeling study showed that the adsorption kinetics obey the pseudo-second-order model, with an R2 in the range of 0.991 and 0.999. The bio-sorption isotherms followed the Langmuir model; the maximum uptake capacity of(F@N, F@UR,F@TC, F@DCZ, and F@EDTA) was found to be respectively, 12.3 mg·g^(-1), 25.33 mg·g^(-1), 28.73 mg·g^(-1),42.54 mg·g^(-1), and 61.45 mg·g^(-1). The determined adsorption thermodynamics parameters such as enthalpy,free energy, and entropy showed that the adsorption process is exothermic, spontaneous, and has a stable configuration.

Objective:To evaluate the antifungal activity of four honeys of different types from Algeria against pathogenic yeast *** albicans(***) and Rhoddtorula ***:Four Algeria honeys of different botanical origin were analvzed to test anlilungal effect against ***,and Rhodotorula *** concentrations(undiluted,10%,30%,50%and 70%w/v) of honey were studied in vitro for their antifugal aclivity using *** and Rhodotorula *** fungal ***:The range of the c liameter of zone of inhibition of various concentrations ol tested honeys was(7-23 mm) for Rhodotorula sp.,while *** showed clearly resistance towards all concentrations *** MICs of tested honey concentrations against *** and Rhodotorula ***(70.09-93.48)%and(4.90-99.70)%v/v,***:This study demonstrales that,in vitro,these natural products have clearly an antifungal activity against Rhodotorula *** ***.

Objective:To evaluate the in vitro activity and synergism of the combinations of natural honey and curcuma starch against Rhodotorula mucilaginosa in correlation with total phenolic,flavonoid contents,and diastase ***:The Folin-Ciocalteu test was used to determine the total polyphenols content and the flavonoid content was analyzed using by the aluminum chloride *** antifungal activity of the natural honey,determined by an agar well diffusion assay and agar incorporation ***:Total phenolic content varied from(63.93±0.11)to(95.36±6.08)mg GAE/100 g honey as gallic acid *** flavonoids content varied from(5.41±0.04)to(9.94±0.54)mg CE/*** activity values were between(7.3±2.8)and(26±2.8).The zone inhibition diameter for the six honey samples without starch ranged between 6 and 20 *** starch was mixed with honey and then added to well,a zone inhibition increase diameter 7 and 21 *** percentage increase was noticed with each variety and it ranged between 5%and 62.5%.The minimal inhibitory concentrations for the six varieties of honey without starch against Rhodotorula mucilaginosa ranged between 28%and 36%(v/v).When starch was incubated with honey and then added to media,a minimal inhibitory concentration drop has been noticed with each *** ranged between 6.66%and 20%(w/v).No significant correlation was established between diastase activity and bioactive ***:The mixture of curcuma starch and honey could lead to the development of new combination antibiotics against Rhodotorula

Under the trends to using renewable energy sources as alternatives to the traditional ones,it is important to contribute to the fast growing development of these sources by using powerful soft computing *** this context,this paper introduces a novel structure to optimize and control the energy produced from a variable speed wind turbine which is based on a squirrel cage induction generator(SCIG)and connected to the *** optimization strategy of the harvested power from the wind is realized by a maximum power point tracking(MPPT)algorithm based on fuzzy logic,and the control strategy of the generator is implemented by means of an internal model(IM)*** IM controllers are incorporated in the vector control technique,as an alternative to the proportional integral(PI)controller,to implement the proposed optimization *** MPPT in conjunction with the IM controller is proposed as an alternative to the traditional tip speed ratio(TSR)technique,to avoid any disturbance such as wind speed measurement and wind turbine(WT)characteristic *** on the simulation results of a six KW-WECS model in Matlab/Simulink,the presented control system topology is reliable and keeps the system operation around the desired response.

Objective:To evaluate the additive action of ginger starch on the antifungal activity of honey against Candida albicans(***).Methods:*** was used to determine the minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)of four varieties of Algerian *** concentrations of honey than the MIC were incubated with a set of concentrations of starch and then added to media to detennine the minimum additive inhibitory concentration(MAIC).Results:The MIC for the four varieties of honey without starch against *** ranged between 38%and 42%(v/v).When starch was incubated with honey and then added to media,a MIC drop was noticed with each *** of the four varieties ranged between 32%honey(v/v)with 4%starch and 36%honey(v/v) with 2%***:The use of ginger starch allows honey benefit and will constitute an alternative way against the resistance to antifungal agents.

Objective:To evaluate the influence of the temperature on honey colour,polyphenol contents and antimycotic capacity and to evaluate the correlation between these ***:Sahara honey were heated up to 25,50,75 and 100℃for 15,30 and 60 min,and their colour intensity,polyphenol contents and antimycotic *** Folin-Ciocalteu test was used to determine the total polyphenol contents(TPC).The antimycotic activity was evaluated both by agar diffusion method and micro wells dilution method against the Candida albicans(***)and Candida glabrata(***).Results:Initial values for TPC in Sahara honey ranged from 0.55 to 1.14 mg of gallic acid per kg of honey,with the average value of 0.78 mg of gallic acid per kg of *** TPC values after heat-treatment were 0.54 to 1.54 with the average value of 1.49 *** minimal inhibitory concentrations before heat-treatment of Sahara honey against *** and *** ranged from 3.06%-12.5%and 50%*** heat-treatment the minimal inhibitory concentrations between 12.5%and 50%for *** and ***,*** diameters of inhibition zones of Sahara honey with 50%concentration varied from(12.67-15.00)mm by *** to(14.33-15.67)mm by *** diameters of inhibition zones after heat-treatment at 25 and 50°C for 15.30 and 60 min ranged from(2.00-18.67)mm by *** to(8.00-16.67)mm by *** significant relations between the TPC and the colour intensity of Sahara honey(r=0.99,P<0.05).Furthermore,the results showed that the TPC and colour is not correlated with the antimycotic ***:To our knowledge this is the first report on the antimycotic capacity of Sahara honey.

Objective:To investigate the effect of unheated and heat-treated of Sahara ***:A total of 24 Swiss albino mice weighing 25-35 g were divided into four groups(n=6).Anti-inflammatory effect was assessed at 1,2,3,4,5 and 6 h after subplantar injection of carrageenan(0.5 mL of a 1%solution in normal saline).In addition,total phenolic content was determined by modified Folin-Ciocalteu ***:The total phenolic content capacity of the Sahara honey before and after heat treatment was between 72 and 97.9 mg of gallic acid equivalents/100 g of honey *** of unheated honey(oral administration)reduced significantly(P<0.05).The carrageenan induced mice paw edema model at 1,3 and 6 h for 21.85%,5.43%and 80.43%,*** of heat-treated honey showed insignificant inhibition of carrageenan and induced paw edema at 1 h(31.16%),3 h(0.25%)and 6 h(34.19%).The 50 mg/kg diclofenac exhibited percent reduction in paw volume 16.12%,8.90%and 15.32%after 1 h,3 h and 6 h,respectively,when compared with control *** toxicity was ***:Our results suggest that unheated Sahara honey has anti-inflammatory effects by reducing the mice paw edema size while heat-treated Sahara honey decreases the antiinflammatory activity.

Objective:To search for further synergistic combinations of gentamicin and raw honey that might have potential in treating ***:The antibacterial activity and synergistic interaction of raw honey and gentamicin was assessed by using agar well diffusion *** Gram-negative(Escherichia coli ATCC 25922 and Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 2154)bacteria were selected for antibacterial activity *** cultures of bacteria were maintained in their appropriate agar slants at 4°C throughout the study and used as stock ***:Raw honey and gentamicin interacted synergistically to inhibit Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas ***:These results suggest that combinations of raw honey and gentamicin have therapeutic benefits in prophylaxis of infections caused by multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacilli.
