This paper reports the studies conducted on removal of oxides ofnitrogen (NOx) from diesel engine exhaust using electrical dischargeplasma combined with adsorbing materials such as molecular *** study is being reported for the first time. The exhaust is takenfrom a diesel engine of 6 kW under no load conditions. Thecharacteristic behavior of a pulse energized dielectric barrierdischarge reactor in the diesel exhaust treatment is reported. TheNOx removal was not significant (36/100) when the reactor without anypacking was used.

Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias have made a considerable impact on society, and can take a significant toll on familial caregivers. Recent successful caregiving interventions suggest a promising future, though informed research design, a priori, is paramount in ensuring quality results that the Government and public may use to make informed policy and personal healthcare decisions. Research designs including basic science, randomized controlled trials (RCTs), qualitative, and quasi-experimental designs serve as the primary basis for discussion with literary examples and caveats.

Normally the mass of a root has a uniform distribution but some have different uniform distributions named Generalized Uniform Distribution (GUD). The characterization result based on expectation of function of random variable has been obtained for generalized uniform distribution. Applications are given for illustrative purpose including a special case of uniform distribution.

The concentration profiles of jet gas are investigated in the feed injection zone of a cold-model FCC riser by using a hydrogen trace *** results demonstrate that four types of jet gas concentration profiles can be used to describe the mixing between the jet gas and pre-lift gas in the feed injection *** four types are a distinct M-shaped profile for weak mixing,an indistinct M- shaped profile for medium mixing,a sharp profile for strong mixing,and a parabolic profile for full *** heights for regions of initial and full mixing reduce when decreasing the jet gas velocity or increasing the pre-lift gas ***,the momentum ratio,Mj/Mr,(where Mj is the momentum of jet gas,Mr is the mixture momentum of pre-lift gas and solid particles) is introduced to describe the effects of gas-solid physical properties,operating conditions,and equipment configuration on the jet gas concentration dis- *** heights for regions of initial and full mixing between jet gas and pre-lift gas are found to be 0-0.375 and 0.375-0.675 m when Mj/Mr0.54,and 0-0.375 and 0.675-1.075 m when Mj/Mrbetween 0.29 and 0.54,respectively.

Au has been loaded （1% wt.） on different commercial oxide supports （CuO, La2O3, Y2O3, NiO） by three different methods： double impregnation （DIM）, liquid-phase reductive deposition （LPRD）, and ultrasonication （US）. Samples were characterised by N2 adsorption at -196℃, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, selected area electron diffraction, energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry, high-angle annular dark-field imaging （Z-contrast）, X-ray diffraction, and temperature programmed reduction. CO oxidation was used as a test reaction to compare the catalytic activities. The best results were obtained with Au loaded by DIM on the NiO support, with an activity of 7.2 × 10^（-4） molco·gAu^（-1）·s^（-1） at room temperature. This is most likely related to the Au nanoparticle size being the smallest in this catalyst （average 4.8 nm）, since it is well known that gold particle size determines the catalytic activity. Other samples, having larger Au particle sizes （in the 2-12 nm range, with average sizes ranging from 4.8 to 6.8 nm）, showed lower activities. Nevertheless, all samples prepared by DIM had activities （from 1.1 × 10^（-4） to 7.2 × 10^（-4） molco·gAu^（-1）·S^（-1）, at room temperature） above those reported in the literature for gold on similar oxide supports. Therefore, this method gives better results than the most usual methods of deposition-precipitation or co-precipitation.

The reaction of NdCl 3 with 2 equiv. of Na bu tC 5H 4 in THF(tetrahydrofuran) gives blue crystals 〔(bu tC 5H 4) 2NdCl〕 2, C 36 H 52 Cl 2Nd 2 ( M r =844.11), which crystallizes in the triclinic system with space group P 1. The crystal data are a=11.978(1), b=12.671(4), c=12.706(2), α=105.47(2), β=99.38(1), γ=93.15(2)°, V=1825(3) 3, Z=2, D c =1.53g/cm 3, F(000)=450, T =298K, λ (Mo Kα )=0.71069, μ =14.97cm -1 . Final R=0.0390, R w =0.0376 for 4329 reflections with I≥3σ(I o ). The molecule has a dimer structure with two certrosymmetrical chlorine bridges. The structural trend of these analogous complexes is discussed.

Aging adults with chronic conditions rely heavily on an informal network of caregivers to remain within their communities of choice. This reliance can take a significant toll on caregivers through the lens of physical and psychological problems, financial issues, and social isolation. These variables may then lead to less desirable outcomes for care recipients. This review highlights existing support services in their many forms, including: psychosocial interventions, environmental interventions, respite care, and health information technology as a method of delivery. Given the current trend with informal caregivers assuming increased responsibility in healthcare, programs and services supporting these caregivers must be understood and trialed to ensure that their needs are not overlooked.
