Whole-genome shogun sequence(WGS)data generated by next-generation sequencing(NGS)platforms are a valuable resource for crop *** produced 5–6×WGS coverage of 44 Brassica oleracea breeding lines representing seven subspecies/morphotypes:cabbage,broccoli,cauliflower,kailan,kale,Brussels sprout,and kohlrabi to systematically evaluate the nuclear and chloroplast(Cp)diversity in the 44 *** breeding *** then exploited the impact of low-coverage NGS by evaluating nuclear genome diversity and assembly,annotation of complete chloroplast(Cp)genomes and 45 S nuclear ribosomal DNA(45S nrDNA)sequences,and copy number variation for major *** genome diversity analysis has revealed a total of 496463 SNPs and 37493 indels in the nuclear genome across the 44 ***,some SNPs showed subspecies enrichment at certain chromosomal *** assembly of complete Cp genomes contained 153361–153372 bp with 37 variants including SNPs and *** 45S nrDNA transcription unit was 5802 bp long with a total of 31 SNPs from the 44 *** phylogenetic tree inferred from the nuclear and Cp genomes coincided and clustered broccoli,cauliflower,and kailan in one group and cabbage,Brussels sprout,kale,and kohlrabi in another *** morphotypes diverged during the last 0.17 million *** Cp genome diversity reflected the unique cytoplasm of each subspecies,and revealed that the cytoplasm of many breeding lines was replaced and intermingled via inter-subspecies crosses during the breeding process *** polymorphic Cp markers provide a classification system for the cytoplasm types in ***,copy numbers of major transposable elements(TEs)showed high diversity among the 44 accessions,indicating that many TEs have become active ***,we demonstrated a comprehensive utilization of low-coverage NGS data and might shed light on the genetic diversity and evolution of diverse *** morphotypes.

Residue Number System (RNS) has proved shaping the Digital Signal Processing (DSP) units into highly parallel, faster and secured entities. The computational complexity of the multiplication process for a RNS based design can be reduced by indulging Logarithmic Number System (LNS). The combination of these unusual number systems forms Residue Logarithmic Number System (RLNS) that provides simple internal architectures. Till date RLNS based processing units are designed for binary logic based circuits. In order to reduce the number of input output signals in a system, the concept of Multiple Valued Logic (MVL) is introduced in literature. In that course of research, this paper uses Tri Valued Logic (TVL) in RLNS technique proposed, to further reduce the chip area and delay value. Thus in this research work three different concepts are proposed, it includes the design of multiplier for RLNS based application for number of bits 8, 16 and 32. Next is the utilization of TVL in the proposed multiplication structure for RLNS based system along with the error correction circuits for the ternary logarithmic and antilogarithmic conversion process. Finally the comparison of the two multiplication schemes with the existing research of multiplier design for RNS based system using booth encoding concepts. It can be found that the proposed technique using TVL saves on an average of about 63% of area occupied and 97% of delay value respectively than the existing technique.

The life cycle estimation of power plants is important for gas turbine *** the introduction of wind energy into the grid,gas turbine operators now operate their plants in Load–Following modes as back-ups to the renewable energy sources which include wind,solar,*** motive behind this study is to look at how much life is consumed when an intercooled power plant with 100 MW power output is used in conjunction with wind *** operation causes fluctuations because the wind energy is unpredictable and overtime causes adverse effects on the life of the plant–The High Pressure Turbine *** fluctuations give rise to low cycle fatigue and creep failure of the blades depending on the operating regime used.A performance based model that is capable of estimating the life consumed of an intercooled power plant has been *** model has the capability of estimating the life consumed based on seasonal power demands and *** in-depth comparison was undertaken on the life consumed during the seasons of operation and arrives at the conclusion that during summer,the creep and low cycle life is consumed higher than the rest periods.A comparison was also made to determine the life consumed between Load–Following and stop/start operating *** was also observed that daily creep life consumption in summer was higher than the winter period in-spite of having lower average daily operating hours in a Start–Stop operating scenario.

Case Study on Identification of Flood Hazard in the Lower Catchment Area of the Attanagalu Oya River Basin

The present work aims to identify flood hazards and risks, particularly to the Attanagalu Oya river basin in Gampaha district, the western province in Sri Lanka. Attanagalu Oya river catchment area periodically faced flood hazards. The flood is categorized by complex like 2008, 2010, 2016, 2017, and it chose 2016 as the primary flood event. Study areas have been selected depending on data availability. Attanagalu Oya river basin is mainly focused as a study area. However, here selected only four Grama Niladhari Divisions are as a sample area. Those are;kirindivita, Ambanvita, Thammita West, Gonagaha1. Furthermore, many flood hazards can be identified when considering the flood events history. But here selected only two years were 2010 and 2016. These two years were selected with high flood events. For the study, that flood series used 1 feet elevation contours used to identify flood levels and used LiDAR image to identify risk areas in the study site. Due to the blockage of the main waterways that discharge water into the Negombo Lagoon, limited water transportation, low lying land reclamation for development, mainly affect paddy lands and roads, and flood as a major problem identified temporarily and spatially. Eventually, the study could identify flood-prone areas and map the risk zones within the study area.

In this work an attempt was made to minimize the NOx emission of a crude rice bran oil methyl ester (CRBME) blend with less sacrifice on smoke density and brake thermal efficiency. Three factors namely fuel injection timing, percentage EGR and fuel injection pressure were chosen as the influencing factors for the set objective. Experiments were designed by employing design of experiments method and Taguchi’s L9 orthogonal array was used to test the engine. MRSN ratio was calculated for the response variables and the optimum combination level of factors was obtained simultaneously using Taguchi’s parametric design. ANOVA was employed to analyze the variance of MRSN and the most influencing factor for the set objective was taken from the ANOVA table. Obtained combination was confirmed experimentally and significant improvement was observed in the response variables.

The epiphytic plants belong to a group that harmlessly grows on other plants by utilizing the nutrition from the host plants with their unique adaptation features along with symbiotic associations with fungi or *** various biological activities exhibited by the mycoendophytes inhabiting medicinally-important epiphytic orchids serve as the primary source of novel drug leads,industrially-essential enzymes,and plant growth-promoting *** the present study,a total of 956 culturable mycoendophytes out of 1600 segments belonging to 17 genera were isolated from different tissue parts of Trias stocksii and Dendrobium *** Xylariaceae taxa were the predominant mycoendophytes present in both plants,followed by Pestalotiopsis sp.,Colletotrichum sp.,and Fusarium *** estimation of the Shannon-Wiener and Simpson diversity indices showed that the bulbs of *** have the highest species diversity index and the stems of *** the *** highest species richness was observed in the leaves of *** and the lowest in the leaves of ***,*** harbored more mycoendophytes along with the highest diversity indices compared to *** antimicrobial evaluation revealed that Xylaria *** a higher potential of producing anti-infectives and opens a new arena for industrial exploration.

Objective:To investigate the larvicidal activity of synthesized silver nanoparticles（Ag NPs） utilizing aqueous bark extract of Ficus racemosa（***） was tested against fourth instar larvae of filariasis vector,Culex quinquefasciatus（***） and japanese encephalitis vectors,Culex gelidus（***）.Methods:The synthesized Ag NPs was characterized by UV-vis spectrum,X-ray diffraction（XRD）,Scanning electron microscopy（SEM） and Fourier transform infrared（FTIR）.The larvicidal activities were assessed for 24 h against the larvae of *** and *** with varying concentrations of aqueous bark extract *** and synthesized Ag ***50 and r2 values were ***:The maximum efficacy was observed in crude aqueous extract of *** against the larvae of *** and ***(LC50=67.72 and 63.70 mg/L;r2=0.995 and 0.985) and the synthesized Ag NPs(LC50=12.00 and 11.21 mg/L;r2=0.997 and 0.990).*** Ag NPs showed the XRD peaks at 2θvalues of 27.61,29.60,35.48,43.48 and 79.68 were identified as （210）,（121）,（220）,（200） and（311） reflections,*** FTIR spectra of Ag NPs exhibited prominent peaks at 3 425,2 878,1 627 and 1 382 in the region 500-3 000 cm-1.The peaks correspond to the presence of a stretching vibration of（NH） C=O *** analysis showed shape in cylindrical,uniform and rod with the average size of 250.60 ***:The biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles using bark aqueous extract of *** and its larvicidal activity against the larvae of disease spreading *** maximum larvicidal efficacy was observed in the synthesized Ag NPs.
