The integra.ion of relia.le Video-on-Dema.d (VoD) broa.ca.ting schemes in the DVB-h tra.smission system is studied, exempla.y for Pyra.id Broa.ca.ting (PB). Sophistica.ed VoD broa.ca.ting schemes such a. PB a.low receivers to tune into the ongoing tra.smission of a.video-strea. a. a.bitra.y time, while still being a.le to receive the multimedia.sequence from the beginning to end, a.ter a.short initia. pla.out la.ency. Ra.tor coding, integra.ed in the FLUTE protocol, is combined with the tra.itiona. PB scheme in order to provide high service a.d presenta.ion relia.ility. We give a.short overview on the DVB-h tra.smission system a. well a. on the FLUTE protocol. We present a.d discuss options for the integra.ion of VoD broa.ca.ting schemes in combina.ion with Ra.tor coding. We a.hieve ba.kwa.d-compa.ibility even with termina.s not supporting Ra.tor coding. Simula.ion results show the benefits of the discussed VoD scheme compa.ed to existing ca.ousel a.proa.hes in DVB-h.

Both fa.mers a.d tra.ers benefit from tra.e networking, which is crucia. for the loca. economy. Therefore, it is crucia. to understa.d how these networks opera.e, a.d how they ca. be ma.a.ed more effectively. Throughout this study, we exa.ine the economic networks formed between fa.mers a.d tra.ers through the tra.e of food products. These networks a.e a.a.yzed from the perspective of their structure a.d the fa.tors tha. influence their development. Using da.a.from 18 fa.mers a.d 15 tra.ers, we a.plied exponentia. ra.dom gra.h models. The results of our study showed tha. connectivity, Popula.ity Sprea., a.tivity sprea., good tra.sporta.ion systems, a.d high yields a.l a.fected the development of networks. Therefore, fa.mers’ productivity a.d high ma.ket dema.d ca. contribute to loca. food-crop tra.e. The network wa. not a.fected by reciprocity, open ma.kets, proximity to loca.ions, or tra.e experience of a.tors. Policy ma.ers should consider these five fa.tors when formula.ing policies for loca. food-crop tra.e. a.ditiona.ly, loca. a.tors should be encoura.ed to use these fa.tors to improve their network development. However, it is importa.t to note tha. these fa.tors a.one ca.not gua.a.tee success. Policy ma.ers a.d a.tors must a.so consider other fa.tors such a. lega. fra.eworks, economic policies, a.d resource a.a.la.ility. Our a.proa.h ca. be used in future resea.ch to determine how tra.ers a.d fa.mers ca. enha.ce productivity a.d profit in West a.rica. Soil ma.ronutrients(i.e. nitrogen(N), phosphorus(P), a.d pota.sium(K)) a.e importa.t soils components a.d knowing the spa.ia. distribution of these pa.a.eters a.e necessa.y a. precision a.riculture. The purpose of this study wa. to eva.ua.e the fea.ibility of different methods such a. a.tificia. neura. networks(a.N) a.d two geosta.istica. methods(geogra.hica.ly weighted regression(GWR) a.d cokriging(CK)) to estima.e N, P a.d K contents. For this purpose, soil sa.ples were ta.en from topsoil(0–30 cm) a. 106 points a.d a.a.yzed for their chemica. a.d physica. pa.a.eters. These da.a.were divided into ca.ibra.ion(n = 84) a.d va.ida.ion(n = 22). Chemica. a.d physica. va.ia.les including cla., p H a.d orga.ic ca.bon(OC) were used a. a.xilia.y soil va.ia.les to estima.e the N, P a.d K contents. Results showed tha. the a.N model(with coefficient of determina.ion R^2 = 0.922 a.d root mea. squa.e error RMSE = 0.0079%) wa. more a.cura.e compa.ed to the CK model(with R^2 = 0.612 a.d RMSE = 0.0094%), a.d the GWR model(with R^2 = 0.872 a.d RMSE = 0.0089%) to estima.e the N va.ia.le. The a.N model estima.ed the P with the RMSE of 3.630 ppm, which wa. respectively 28.93% a.d 20.00% less tha. the RMSE of 4.680 ppm a.d 4.357 ppm from the CK a.d GWR models. The estima.ed K by CK, GWR a.d a.N models ha.e the RMSE of 76.794 ppm, 75.790 ppm a.d 52.484 ppm. Results indica.ed tha. the performa.ce of the CK model for estima.ion of ma.ro nutrients(N, P a.d K) wa. slightly lower tha. the GWR model. a.so, the a.cura.y of the a.N model wa. higher tha. CK a.d GWR models, which proved to be more effective a.d relia.le methods for estima.ing ma.ro nutrients.
