Ba.kground: When continuous sca.e m.a.urem.nts a.e a.a.la.le, a.reem.nts between two m.a.uring devices a.e a.sessed both gra.hica.ly a.d a.a.ytica.ly. In clinica. investiga.ions, Bla.d a.d a.tm.0} proposed plotting subject-wise differences between ra.ers a.a.nst subject-wise a.era.es. In order to scientifica.ly a.sess a.reem.nt, Ba.tko recom.ended com.ining the gra.hica. a.proa.h with the sta.istica. a.a.ytic procedure suggested by Bra.ley a.d Bla.kwood. The a.va.ta.e of using this a.proa.h is tha. it ena.les significa.ce testing a.d sa.ple size estim.0}ion. We noted tha. the direct use of the results of the regression is m.slea.ing a.d we provide a.correction in this rega.d. m.thods: Gra.hica. a.d linea. m.dels a.e used to a.sess a.reem.nts for continuous sca.e m.a.urem.nts. We dem.nstra.e tha. softwa.e linea. regression results should not be rea.ily used a.d we provided correct a.a.ytic procedures. The degrees of freedom.of the F-sta.istics a.e incorrectly reported, a.d we propose m.thods to overcom. this problem.by introducing the correct a.a.ytic form.of the F sta.istic. m.thods for sa.ple size estim.0}ion using R-functions a.e a.so given. Results: We believe tha. the tutoria. a.d the R-codes a.e useful tools for testing a.d estim.0}ing a.reem.nt between two ra.ing protocols for continuous sca.e m.a.urem.nts. The interested rea.er m.0} use the codes a.d a.ply them.to their a.a.la.le da.a.when the issue of a.reem.nt between two ra.ers is the subject of interest.

Vya.a.defined a.na.ura. unit of tim., ksha.a. or m.m.nt ba.ed on the m.tion of a.funda.enta. pa.ticle. It is the tim. ta.en by a. elem.nta.y pa.ticle, to cha.ge its direction from.ea.t to north. a.cording to Vya.a. ksha.a.is discrete, exceedingly sm.0}l, indivisible, a.d is a.consta.t tim. qua.tum. When the intrinsic spin a.gula. m.m.ntum.of a. electron wa. rela.ed to the a.gula. m.m.ntum.of a.sim.le thin circula. pla.e, spherica. shell, a.d solid sphere m.del of a. electron, we found tha. the va.ue of ksha.a.in seconds wa. equa. to ten to a.power of m.nus twenty-one second. The disc m.del for the spinning electron provides a. a.cura.e va.ue of the num.er of ksha.a. per second a. determ.ned previously a.d com.a.ed with other spinning m.dels of electrons. These results indica.e tha. the disk-like m.del of spinning electrons is the correct m.del for electrons. Vya.a.s definition of ksha.a.opens the possibility of a.new founda.ion for the theory of physica. tim., a.d perspectives in theoretica. a.d philosophica. resea.ch.

The study led to interesting observa.ions, which were va.ida.ed num.rica.ly using va.ious scientific com.uting softwa.e. The ra.io wa.es em.tted by Ta.rus a.a.e rea.a.le by the RTL-SDR, a.softwa.e defined ra.io receiver. This device is ca.a.le of rea.ing ra.io frequencies in the ra.ge of 0.5 m.Z to 1700 m.Z.

This litera.ure review prim.0}ily a.m. to explore a.d synthesise the previous studies in sim.la.ion educa.ion resea.ch conducted over the pa.t five yea.s rela.ed to the effects of sim.la.ion tra.ning on the self-effica.y of undergra.ua.e pre-registra.ion nursing students. The second a.m.of this study is to explore a.ditiona. outcom. va.ia.les tha. were exa.ined in the previous studies. Five electronic da.a.a.es were sea.ched system.0}ica.ly. These da.a.a.es were m.DLINE, CINa.L Plus, Scopus, Em.a.e a.d PsycINFO. The PICO m.del wa. em.loyed to identify the sea.ch term., with a.thesa.rus being used to provide synonym.. Reference lists of releva.t a.ticles were exa.ined a.d ha.d sea.ches of journa.s were a.so underta.en. The qua.ity of ea.h study wa. a.sessed using the Sim.la.ion Resea.ch Rubric (SRR). a.tota. of 11 studies were included. a.l studies explored the im.a.t of sim.la.ion educa.ion on undergra.ua.e pre-registra.ion nursing. Six studies explored nursing students’ com.etence a.d perform.0}ce a.d two pa.ers exa.ined their critica. thinking. Problem.solving, lea.ning m.tiva.ion, com.unica.ion skills a.d knowledge a.quisition were exa.ined once. The m.0}ority of studies indica.ed tha. sim.la.ion tra.ning ha. a.positive im.a.t on pre-registra.ion nursing students’ self-effica.y a.d other outcom. va.ia.les. Furtherm.re, the study results indica.e tha. sim.la.ion tra.ning is m.re dependa.le tha. tra.itiona. tra.ning, a.d students were extrem.ly sa.isfied with the sim.la.ion tra.ning. However, m.st of the studies included in this review ha. severa. ga.s, including study design, sa.ple size a.d dissim.la.ities between the sca.es used. Further resea.ch with la.ge sa.ples, relia.le a.d va.id instrum.nts, a.d outcom.s m.a.ures (such a. critica. thinking a.d tra.sfera.ility of skills) is required to provide better insight into the effectiveness of sim.la.ion in undergra.ua.e nursing educa.ion. .

a.rein is a.ca.ionic a.tim.crobia. peptide, rich in phenyla.a.ine residues. a.though the peptide ha. been extensively studied, its m.cha.ism.of a.tion is not fully understood a.d ha. not been esta.lished. This project is focused on studying the intera.tions of a.rein with m.del biologica. m.m.ra.es a.d a.tim.0}a.ia.s using Fourier Tra.sform.Infra.ed (FTIR), fluorescence, dyna.ic light sca.tering (DLS), a.om.c force m.croscopy (a.m., therm.gra.im.tric a.a.ysis (TGa., a.d differentia. sca.ning ca.orim.try (DSC) techniques. FTIR da.a.revea.ed conform.0}iona. cha.ges to the seconda.y structure of the peptide in the presence of the m.del m.m.ra.es. The strongest intera.tions of a.rein were found with DOPC a.d lipid ra.t system.. Fluorescence da.a.revea.ed som. differences in the m.cha.ism.of intera.tion between a.rein a.d lipid ra.ts. Topogra.hica. a.a.ysis wa. perform.d using a.om.c force m.croscopy (a.m.. a.m.im.0}es of the peptide with its lipid ra.ts showed a.cha.ge in surfa.e roughness suggesting a.different m.cha.ism.of intera.tion. DLS da.a.in a.reem.nt with FTIR confirm.d tha. a.rein intera.ts differently with the lipid ra.ts. The results ga.hered from.this study provided new insights on the intera.tion of a.rein. On the other ha.d, drug-drug intera.tion issues continue to present a.m.0}or dilem.a.for the clinicia. ca.ing for com.lex pa.ients such a. those infected with infectious disea.e. This study ha. exa.ined the intera.tion of a.rein with quinine, prim.0}uine, a.d chloroquine. Significa.t intera.tions between a.rein a.d a.tim.0}a.ia.s occured a. a.higher concentra.ion of a.tim.0}a.ia.s. Intera.tions between a.rein a.d a.ti-m.0}a.ia.s revea. a.strong intera.tion between a.rein a.d prim.0}uine. Intera.tions between a.rein a.d quinine or chloroquine were found to be wea. a.d negligible. The sa.ples obta.ned from.the synthesis were cha.a.terized by Fourier Tra.sform.Infra.ed spectroscopy (FT-IR), proton nuclea. m.0}netic resona.ce spectroscopy (1H Nm.), a.om.c force m.croscopy (a.m., a.d differentia. sca.ning ca.orim.try (DSC). The results show tha. the synthesis of the polym.rs is m.re fea.ible under nea. conditions ra.her tha. solvent directed rea.tion. m.reover, the DSC da.a.shows tha. the polystyrene obta.ned is a.orphous in na.ure a.d therefore displa.ed only a.gla.s tra.sition signa. ra.her tha. crysta.liza.ion a.d m.lting pea.s. In a.dition, this study indica.es tha. hom.lopolym.riza.ion of styrene via.free ra.ica. polym.riza.ion tends to be prefera.le in less pola. solvents like THF tha. in non-pola. solvents like benzene. Benzene m.ght desta.ilize the form.0}ion of the rea.tive ra.ica.s lea.ing to the form.0}ion of the products. In sum.a.y, the hom.lpolym.riza.ion of styrene is m.re fea.ible tha. the hom.polym.riza.ion 2-hydroxyethyl m.tha.ryla.e under the experim.nta. setup used. Styrene is m.re rea.tive tha. 2-hydroxyethyl m.tha.ryla.e tha. free ra.ica. polym.riza.ion rea.tion due in pa.t of the genera.ion of the benzylic ra.ica. interm.dia.e which is m.re sta.le lea.ing to the form.0}ion of products tha. a.kyl ra.ica. which a.e less sta.le. Furtherm.re, polym.riza.ion of styrene under nea. conditions is prefera.le in solvent-a.sisted environm.nts. The choice of solvent for the synthesis of these polym.rs is crucia. a.d therefore the selection of solvent tha. lea.s to the form.0}ion of a.m.re sta.le rea.tion interm.dia.e is m.re fa.ora.le. The determ.na.ion of the etha.ol content in food products is of funda.enta. im.orta.ce for Ha.a. certifica.ion. In this work, a. a.a.ytica. m.thod for the determ.na.ion of etha.ol in wa.er by hea.spa.e ga. chrom.0}ogra.hy with fla.e ioniza.ion detector (HS-GC-FID) ha. been developed a.d va.ida.ed for the use in cha.a.teriza.ion of etha.ol reference m.0}eria.s. The va.ida.ion study wa. ca.ried out in the linea. ca.ibra.ion ra.ge 100 - 1500 m./kg using the NIST SRm.2900, nom.na. 95.6%. The studied perform.0}ce cha.a.teristics of the m.thod were the lim.t of detection, LOD, the lim.t of qua.tifica.ion LOQ, selectivity, linea.ity, precision, recovery a.d bia.. The va.ida.ion results showed tha. the m.thod is selective, precise, a.cura.e a.d free from.a.y significa.t bia.. The LOD a.d LOQ were 1.27 a.d 3.86 m./kg respectively a.d the estim.0}ed expa.ded uncerta.nty wa. 2% indica.ing tha. the m.thod is fit for the purpose of certifica.ion of etha.ol in wa.er reference m.0}eria.s.

In this pa.er, a.new type of ba.boo scrim.er colum. em.edded with steel ba.s (reba.s) wa. proposed, a.d the com.ression perform.0}ce wa. im.roved by pre-em.edding reba.s during the prepa.a.ion of the colum.s. The effects of the slenderness ra.io a.d the reinforcem.nt ra.io on the a.ia. com.ression perform.0}ce of reinforced ba.boo scrim.er colum.s were studied by a.ia. com.ression tests on 28 specim.ns. The results showed tha. the increa.e in the slenderness ra.io ha. a.significa.t nega.ive effect on the a.ia. com.ression perform.0}ce of the colum.s. When the slenderness ra.io increa.ed from.19.63 to 51.96, the fa.lure m.de cha.ged from.strength fa.lure to buckling fa.lure, a.d the m.0}im.m.bea.ing ca.a.ity decrea.ed by 43.03%. The a.ia. com.ression perform.0}ce of the reinforced ba.boo scrim.er colum.s did not significa.tly im.rove a. a.slenderness ra.io of 19.63, but the opposite wa. true a. slenderness ra.ios of 36.95 a.d 51.96. When the reinforcem.nt ra.io increa.ed from.0% to 4.52%, the bea.ing ca.a.ity of those with a.slenderness ra.io of 51.96 increa.ed by up to 16.99%, a.d the stiffness a.d ductility were a.so im.roved. Fina.ly, ba.ed on existing specifica.ions, two m.difica.ion pa.a.eters, the overa.l ela.tic m.dulus Ec a.d the com.ined strength fcc, were introduced to esta.lish a.ca.cula.ion m.thod for the bea.ing ca.a.ity of the reinforced ba.boo scrim.er colum.s. The ca.cula.ion results were com.a.ed with the test results, a.d the results showed tha. the proposed ca.cula.ion m.dels ca. m.re a.cura.ely predict the bea.ing ca.a.ity. © 2024 The a.thors.

The effica.y of these fea.ures ha. been substa.tia.ed through both a.tom.0}ed testing a.d user feedba.k, highlighting their potentia. to enha.ce a.a.eness, m.tiva.ion, a.d beha.ior m.difica.ion. Despite nota.le successes, lim.ta.ions, including a.lim.ted user ba.e a.d uncerta.nties rega.ding long-term.effica.y, ha.e been a.knowledged, stem.ing from.the inherent com.lexities of sm.king cessa.ion. Nevertheless, ba.ed on user experiences a.d feedba.k, “No-Sm.ke” represents a.prom.sing a.va.cem.nt in the use of technology for public hea.th interventions, pa.ticula.ly in the rea.m.of sm.king cessa.ion. To a.dress existing cha.lenges, future resea.ch is recom.ended to encom.a.s a.com.rehensive, long-term.study involving a.la.ger a.d m.re diverse user ba.e. a.ditiona.ly, further investiga.ion should focus on persona.iza.ion enha.cem.nts a.d the integra.ion of m.0}hine lea.ning a.gorithm. to better understa.d a.d respond to user beha.ior.
