Most of the foreign bodies detected in a.ult ga.troin- testina. systems a.e a.cidenta.ly swa.lowed pins. In this study, we presented a.ca.e with intra.olonic multiple pebbles. a.20-yea.-old ma. wa. a.mitted to emergency surgery policlinic for a.domina. pa.n for 2 d without a.y a.levia.ion or a.gra.a.ion. His upright pla.n a.domina. ra.iogra.hic ima.ing revea.ed a.out 30-40 overt dense opa.ities in lumen of colonic segments, with ova. a.d well sha.ed contours, ea.h a.proxima.ely 1 cm x 1 cm in size. The multipla.a. reconstructions a.d three- dimensiona. ima.es combined with sectiona. screening showed tha. a.l pebbles ha. pa.sed completely into the colon a.d no foreign bodies ha. rema.ned in the ilea. segments. On psychia.ric a.sessment, he wa. found to ha.e imma.ure persona.ity fea.ures, difficulty in over- coming stressors a.d a.a.ta.ion disorder. He recovered by conserva.ive ma.a.ement a.d ra.iogra.hic monitor- ing a.plied during his follow-up. a.M To investiga.e different etiologies a.d ma.a.ement of the rha.domyolysis in *** Eight pedia.ric rha.domyolysis ca.es who a.plied to the Dokuz Eylul University Fa.ulty of Medicine Depa.tment of Pedia.ric Nephrology with different etiologies between Ja.ua.y 2004 a.d Ja.ua.y 2012 were eva.ua.ed in terms of a.e, gender, a.mission symptoms, physica. exa.ina.ion findings, fa.tors provoking rha.domyolysis, number of rha.domyolysis a.ta.ks, la.ora.ory results, fa.ily history a.d the fina. dia.nosis received a.ter the trea.ment. RESULTS a.era.e dia.nosis a.es of eight ca.es were 129(24-192) ± 75.5 mo a.d five of them were girls. a.l of them ha. a.plied with the compla.nt of muscle pa.n, ca.f pa.n, a.d da.k color urina.ion. Infection(pneumonia. a.d excessive physica. a.tivity were the most importa.t provoca.ive fa.tors a.d excessive licorice consumption wa. observed in one ca.e. In 5 ca.es, a.ute kidney injury wa. determined a.d two ca.es needed hemodia.ysis. a. a.result of the further exa.ina.ions; the ca.es ha. received dia.noses of rha.domyolysis a.socia.ed with mycopla.ma.pneumonia., sepsis a.socia.ed rha.domyolysis, licorice-induced hypoka.emic rha.domyolysis, ca.nitine pa.mitoyltra.sfera.e Ⅱ deficiency, very long-cha.n a.yl-Coa.dehydrogena.e deficiency, congenita. muscula. dystrophy a.d idiopa.hic pa.oxysma. rha.domyolysis(Meyer-Betz syndrome).CONCLUSION It is importa.t to distinguish the spora.ic a.d recurrent rha.domyolysis ca.es from ea.h other. Recurrent rha.domyolysis ca.es should follow up more rega.dful a.d a.tentive.

Infla.ma.ory bowel disea.e (IBD) is a. idiopa.hic infla.ma.ory disea.e of the ga.trointestina. tra.t. The pa.hophysiology of IBD is proba.ly the result of the complex intera.tion of genetic susceptibility a.d environmenta. influences. There is a.well-known risk of thrombosis in pa.ients with IBD. We present the ca.e of a.53-yea.-old ma. with ulcera.ive colitis, who sponta.eously developed intra.ra.ia. sinus thrombosis tha. wa. trea.ed with low molecula. weight hepa.in. a.M: To investiga.e whether a.tioxida.ts vita.in E a.d C ca. reta.d development of hepa.ic fibrosis in the bili- a.y-obstructed ra.s. METHODS: Fifty Wista. a.bino ra.s were ra.domly a.- signed to 5 groups (10 ra.s in ea.h). Bile duct wa. liga. ted in 40 ra.s a.d they were trea.ed a. follows: group vitC, vita.in C 10 mg/kg sc da.ly; group vitE, vita.in E 15 mg/kg sc da.ly; group vitEC, both of the vita.ins; bile duct-liga.ed (BDL, control) group, physiologica. sa.ine sc. The fifth group wa. a.signed to sha. opera.ion. a. the end of fourth week, the ra.s were deca.ita.ed, a.d hepa.ic tissue biochemica. colla.en content a.d colla.en surfa.e a.ea.were mea.ured. Hepa.ic tissue specimens were histopa.hologica.ly eva.ua.ed a.cording to Scheuer system. Serum hya.urona.e levels were mea.ured by ELISa.method. RESULTS: Despite being higher tha. sha. group, he- pa.ic colla.en level wa. significa.tly decrea.ed in ea.h of the vitC, vitE a.d vitEC groups (32.7 ± 1.2, 33.8 ± 2.9, 36.7 ± 0.5 μg colla.en/mg protein, respectively) compa.ed to BDL (48.3 ± 0.6 mg colla.en/g protein) (P a.h vita.in group). Ea.h isola.ed vita.in C, isola.ed vita.in E a.d combined vita.in E/C supp-lementa.ion prevented the increa.e in hepa.ic colla.en surfa.e density (7.0% ± 1.1%, 6.2% ± 1.7%, 12.3% ± 2.0%, respectively) compa.ed to BDL (17.4% ± 5.6%) (P a.h). The sa.e beneficia. effect of vita.in C, vita.in E a.d combined vita.in E/C trea.ment wa. a.so observed on the decrea.e of serum hya.urona.e levels compa.ed to BDL group (P a.ive liver a.d spleen weights, serum tra.sa.ina.es, cholesta.ic enzymes, bilirubins a.d histopa.hologica. infla.ma.ion scores were not different between the a.tioxida.t trea.- ment groups a.d the control.
