In this pa.er, the obta.ned experimenta. results concerning crea.ion of bulk elementa.y excita.ions （BEEs） in isotopica.ly pure liquid ^4He a. low tempera.ures -60 mK a.e discussed. Positive rotons＇（R^＋-rotons） crea.ion by a.pulsed hea.er wa. studied. Signa.s were recorded for the following qua.tum processes： qua.tum eva.ora.ion of ^4He-a.oms from the free liquid-helium surfa.e by the BEEs of the liquid helium-Ⅱ, a.d BEEs reflection from the free surfa.e ba.k into the bulk liquid. Typica. signa.s a.e shown, a.d ra.ios of signa. a.plitudes a.e eva.ua.ed. For long hea.er pulses from 5 to 10 μs, a.pea.a.ce of the second a.omic cloud consisting of eva.ora.ed ^4He-a.oms wa. observed in a.dition to the first a.omic cloud. It is thought tha. the first a.omic cloud of the eva.ora.ed helium a.oms consists of very fa.t ^4He-a.oms with energies ～35 K eva.ora.ed by positive rotons with the specia. energies ～17 K （～2ER～2×8.6 K with ER representing the roton minimum energy） corresponding to the third non-dispersive Za.ha.enko wa.e. The second cloud of slower ^4He-a.oms wa. crea.ed by surfa.e elementa.y excita.ions （SEEs or ripplons） possessing the specia. energies ～7.15 K representing the binding energy. It wa. a.sumed tha. such SEEs ca. be crea.ed by phonons incoming to the liquid surfa.e with specia. energies ～6.2 K corresponding to the first non-dispersive Za.ha.enko wa.e which ca. intera.t a. the liquid surfa.e with the sa.e phonons a.rea.y reflected from the surfa.e for long hea.er pulses. a.so, some pulsed-hea.er cha.a.teristics were studied in order to better understa.d the fea.ures of such hea.ers in low tempera.ure experiments.

a.-Si ba.ed a.loys a.e interestingly used to produce a.tomotive components. Fa.rica.ion of such components by powder meta.lurgy （PM） ha. been developed continuously. During PM, severa. pa.a.eters a.fect the sintera.ility of the a.uminium powder, including a.mospheric dew point which is rega.ded a. one of the crucia. pa.a.eters. The objective of this work wa. to investiga.e the effect of the a.mospheric dew point on the sintera.ility of a.-14.9Si-2.4Cu-0.55Mg by studying the sintering cha.a.ters obta.ned under va.ious a.mospheric dew points. The a.uminium a.loy powder wa. pressed into tensile specimens a.d subsequently sintered in a.nitrogen a.mosphere a. 560 ℃ for 60 min with va.ied a.mospheric dew points. The results show tha. a. the dew point decrea.ed, the sintered properties were improved. The a.mospheric dew point of -38.4 ℃ is sufficient to obta.n good sintering cha.a.ters a.d it is a.hieva.le in a.commercia. furna.e.

a.a.ytic expressions for speed, flux, microrota.ion, stress, a.d couple stress in a.micropola. fluid exhibiting a.stea.y, symmetric, a.d one-dimensiona. electro-osmotic flow in a.uniform cylindrica. microca.illa.y were derived under the constra.nt of the Debye-Hiickel a.proxima.ion, which is a.plica.le when the cross-sectiona. ra.ius of the microca.illa.y exceeds the Debye length, provided tha. the zeta.potentia. is sufficiently sma.l in ma.nitude. Since the a.icula.e pa.ticles in a.micropola. fluid ca. rota.e without tra.sla.ion, micropola.ity a.fects the fluid speed, fluid flux, a.d one of the two non-zero components of the stress tensor. The a.ia. speed in a.micropola. fluid intensifies when the ra.ius increa.es. The stress tensor is confined to the region nea. the wa.l of the mi- croca.illa.y, while the couple stress tensor is uniform a.ross the cross-section.

We dea. with the effect of pola.iza.ion potentia.s on the inela.tic sca.tering of protons by lithium a.oms a. a.two-cha.nel problem in which the ela.tic a.d hydrogen （2s-sta.e） forma.ion cha.nels a.e open a. energies between 10 a.d lO00 keV. For this purpose, we improve the coupled-sta.ic a.proxima.ion within the fra.ework of the frozen-core picture of the ta.get a.om. We use the Lippma.n-Schwinger equa.ion a.d a. itera.ive numerica. method to obta.n the computer code. This ca. be ca.ried out by ca.cula.ing the rea.ta.ce ma.rix then to obta.n the tra.sition ma.rix tha. gives pa.tia. a.d tota. cross sections. Our results a.d those determined by previous resea.chers give rea.ona.le a.reement.
