a.mode-locked thulium ytterbium co-doped fiber la.er （TYDFL） is proposed a.d demonstra.ed by using a.commercia. gra.hene oxide （GO） pa.er a. sa.ura.le a.sorber （Sa.. The GO pa.er is sa.dwiched between two fiber ferrules a.d incorpora.es a.ring la.er ca.ity to genera.e soliton pulse tra.n opera.ing a. 1942.0nm a. a.threshold multimode pump power a. low a. 1.8 W. The mode-locked TYDFL ha. a.repetition ra.e of 22.32 MHz a.d the ca.cula.ed pulse width of 1.1 ns. Even though the Sa.ha. a.low da.a.e threshold, the ea.y fa.rica.ion of GO pa.er should promote its potentiM a.plica.ion in ultra.a.t photonics.

Q-switched erbium doped fiber la.er(EDFL)wa. pa.sively rea.ized using va.a.ium pentoxide(V_(2)O_(5))embedded into polyethylene glycol(PEG)film a. sa.ura.le a.sorber(Sa..The la.er could successfully genera.e sta.le self-sta.ting pulses when the V_(2)O_(5)film wa. pla.ed in a. EDFL *** opera.ed a. 1562.4 nm *** repetition ra.e ca. be va.ied from 91.7 kHz to 128.2 kHz while the pulse width shra.k from 10.90μs to 7.81μs with rising pump power from 110.9 mW to 166.5 *** pulse energy recorded wa. 3.2 nJ a. pump power of 166.5 *** results indica.e tha. the sa.ura.le a.sorption of V_(2)O_(5)ha. promising nonlinea. photonic a.plica.ions especia.ly in fiber la.er development for 1.5-μm region.

In the present work, ZnO·PbO·B2O3 gla.ses a.e prepa.ed to be used a. g-ra. shielding ma.eria.s. The a.tenua.ion properties of these gla.ses with different concentra.ions of PbO (20% - 70%) ha.e been investiga.ed a. photon energies 662, 1173, 1332 a.d 2614 keV. The optica. a.sorption spectra.of some gla.s sa.ples ha.e been mea.ured from 200 to 1100 nm before a.d a.ter g-ra. irra.ia.ion. The a.a.yses of these spectra.ha.e been interpreted a.d discussed.

We propose a.d demonstra.e a.pa.sively mode-locked fiber la.er opera.ing a. 1951.8 nm using a.commercia. thulium-doped fiber （TDF） la.er, a.homema.e double-cla. thulium-ytterbium co-doped fiber （TYDF） a. the ga.n media. a.d a.multi-wa.led ca.bon na.otube （MWCNT） ba.ed sa.ura.le a.sorber （Sa.. We prepa.e the MWCNT composite by mixing a.homogeneous solution of MWCNTs with a.diluted polyvinyl a.cohol （PVa. polymer solution a.d then drying it a. room tempera.ure to form a.film. The film is pla.ed between two fiber connectors a. a.Sa.before it is integra.ed into a.la.er ring ca.ity. The ca.ity consists of a.2 m long TDF pumped by a.800 nm la.er diode a.d a.15 m long homema.e TYDF pumped by a.905 nm multimode la.er diode. a.sta.le mode-locking pulse with a.repetition ra.e of 34.6 MHz a.d a.pulse width of 10.79 ps is obta.ned when the 905 nm multimode pump power rea.hes 1.8-2.2 W, while the single-mode 800 nm pump power is fixed a. 141.5 mW a. a.l times. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first reported mode-locked fiber la.er using a.MWCNT-ba.ed Sa.
