This paper shows a didactic model (PGM), and not only, but representative of the Hadrons described in the Standard Model (SM). In this model, particles are represented by structures corresponding to geometric shapes of coupled quantum oscillators (IQuO). By the properties of IQuO one can define the electric charge and that of color of quarks. Showing the “aurea” (golden) triangular shape of all quarks, we manage to represent the geometric combinations of the nucleons, light mesons, and K-mesons. By the geometric shape of W-bosons, we represent the weak decay of pions and charged Kaons and neutral, highlighting in geometric terms the possibilities of decay in two and three pions of neutral Kaon and the transition to anti-Kaon. In conclusion, from this didactic representation, an in-depth and exhaustive phenomenology of hadrons emerges, which even manages to resolve some problematic aspects of the SM.

Effectiveness of oral probiotics supplementation in the treatment of adult small chalazion

AIM:To define the possible beneficial impact of probiotics oral supplementation on patients affected by ***:Prospective comparative pilot study on 20 adults suffering from chalazion randomly divided into two *** first group(n=10)received conservative treatment with lid hygiene,warm compression,and dexamethasone/tobramycin ointment for at least 20 *** second group(n=10),in addition to the conservative treatment,received a mixture of probiotic microorganisms of Streptococcus thermophilus ST10(DSM 25246),Lactococcus lactis LLC02(DSM 29536)and Lactobacillus delbrueckii(DSM 16606)once a day up to 3 *** were classified according to their size into three groups:small(<2 mm),medium(≥2 to<4 mm),or large(≥4 mm).When conservative treatment with and without probiotics supplementation failed to resolve the lesion,invasive methods were used,intralesional steroid injection in medium size chalazion and surgical incision and curettage for the largest ***:Medical treatment with or without probiotics supplementation was effective only on the small size *** was a significant difference in the time taken for complete resolution of small size chalazia between the two groups in favor of the patients receiving probiotics(38.50±9.04 d vs 21.00±7.00 d,P=0.039).Medium and large size chalazia did not respond to medical treatment with or without probiotics supplementation over the follow-up period(3 mo).The treatment did not induce any complications in both groups and no recurrence of chalaziosis was recorded in both ***:The considerable difference in time taken for complete resolution of small chalazia between the two groups in favor of the experimental one confirms the presence of a gut-eye axis.

We formulate the idea of a Universe crossing different evolving phases where in each phase one can define a basic field at lattice structure (Uk) increasing in mass (Universe-lattice). The mass creation in Uk has a double consequence for the equivalence “mass-space”: Increasing gravity (with varying metric) and increasing space (expansion). We demonstrate that each phase is at variable metric beginning by open metric and to follow a flat metric and after closed. Then we define the lattice-field of intersection between two lattice fields of base into universe and we analyse the universe in the Nucleo-synthesis phase (intersection-lattice ) and in the that of recombination (intersection-lattice ). We show that the phase is built on the intersection of the lattices of the proton (Up) and electron (Ue) or . We show UH to be at variable metric (open in the past, flat in the present and closed in the future). Then, we explain some fundamental aspects of this universe UH: Hubble’s law by creating the mass-space in it, its age (13.82 million of Years) as time for reaching the flat metric phase and the value of critic density. In last we talk about dark universe lattice , having hadronic nature, and calculating its spatial step and its density in present phase of .

In this paper we complete the relativistic cosmological theory because we extend the variational principle including variations of metric induced by expansion of the space. We will show that the mass not only curves Space and Time but also generates them: we’ll speak of the principle of mass-space equivalence. Then the increasing mass generates variations of metric as also the space increasing or expansion. So, the dark component of the mass generates additional gravity around galaxies as well as additional space, which generates a pressure (dark energy) accelerating the galaxies in their move away. All this could explain the cosmic coincidence (Ωdm/Ωde ≈ 1). To talk about the increasing mass is equivalent to speak of mass creation in universe, causing the variation of the tensor (T) mass-energy tensor of all component fields. We conjecture that its variation is caused by mass-energy flow comes out from a physical system (Θ) composed by set of uncoupled quantum oscillators (structure of no-field) in vacuum state. All this allows formulating a variational principle which generates the cosmological equation with the (Λ) parameter and a tensor T* with variable mass density, where T*(T, Θ).

AIM: To investigate the relationship among the number of platelets and plasma levels of S-nitrosothiols (S-NO), nitrite, total non-protein SH (NPSH), glutathione (GSH), cysteine (CYS), malondialdehyde (MDA), 4-hydroxininenal (4HNE), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNFα) and interleukin (IL)-6 in patients with chronic hepatitis C (CH).METHODS: In vitro the aggregation of platelets derived from controls and CH patients was evaluated before and after the addition of adenosine diphosphate (ADP) and collagen, both in basal conditions and after incubation with nitrosoglutathione (GSNO). RESULTS: In vivo , S-NO plasma levels increased significantly in CH patients and they were significantly directly correlated with platelet numbers. Patients with platelet counts 150 000/μL. In vitro, the ADP and collagen aggregation time was increased in platelets from patients and not from controls; in addition, platelets from CH patients but not from controls also showed a latency time after exposure to collagen. CONCLUSION: The incubation of platelets with GSNO improved the percentage aggregation and abolished the latency time.

Vaccination is the main prophylactic measure to reduce the mortality caused by hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection in healthy subjects since the immune response to hepatitis B recombinant vaccination occurs in over 90%of general *** who develop an antiHBs titer less than 10 mIU/mL after primary vaccination cycle are defined"no responders".Many factors could cause a non response to the HBV vaccination,such as administration of the vaccine in buttocks,impaired vaccine storage conditions,drug abuse,smoking,infections and *** there are some diseases,like chronic kidney disease,human immunodeficiency virus infection,chronic liver disease,celiac disease,thalassaemia,typeⅠdiabetes mellitus,down’s syndrome and other forms of mental retardation that are characterized by a poorer response to HBV vaccination than healthy *** date it is still unclear how to treat this group of patients at high risk of hepatitis B *** studies seem to indicate that the administration of HBV recombinant vaccine by the intradermal route is very effective and could represent a more useful strategy than intramuscular *** review focuses on the use of anti hepatitis B vaccine by intradermal route as alternative to conventional intramuscular vaccine in all non responder patients.A comprehensive review of the literature using PubMed database,with appropriate terms,was undertaken for articles in English published since *** literature search was undertaken in September 2013.

AIM:To review and conduct a meta-analysis of the existing literature on the relationship between Helicobacter pylori(***),atopy and allergic ***:Studies published in English assessing the prevalence of atopy and/or allergic diseases in patients with *** infection and the prevalence of *** infection in patients with atopy and/or allergic diseases were identified through a MEDLINE search(1950-2014).Random-effect model was used for the ***:Pooled results of case-control studies showed a significant inverse association of *** infection with atopy/allergic disease or with exclusively atopy,but not with allergic disease,whereas pooled results of cross-sectional studies showed only a significant association between allergic disease and *** ***:There is some evidence of an inverse association between atopy/allergic diseases and *** infection,although further studied are needed.

Immune response to hepatitis B virus vaccine in celiac subjects at diagnosis

AIM To evaluate hepatitis B virus(HBV) vaccine response and correlation with human leukocyte antigens(HLA) and/or gluten intake in celiac patients at *** Fifty-one patients affected by celiac disease, diagnosed at the Department of Pediatrics of the University of Catania(Italy), were recruited. All patients were tested at admission for immunization against HBV, according to findings from analysis of quantitative HBV surface antibody(anti-HBs). The anti-HBs titer was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Following the international standards, subjects with antibody titer 0.05). With regard to the HLA haplotype, comparison of the distribution of vaccination response showed no statistically significant difference between the different genotypes(homozygosity for the HLADQ2 haplotype compared with HLADQ2/DQ8 heterozygosity or other haplotypes; P > 0.05). Moreover, distribution of the responders according to clinical features of celiac disease showed no statistically significant differences(P > 0.05).CONCLUSION This prospective study confirmed the lower percentage of response to HBV vaccine in celiac subjects. However, the underlying mechanism remains unclear and further studies are needed.
