DEEP SEISMIC SOUNDING EVIDENCE FOR TECTONIC INTERACTION BETWEEN TARIM AND WEST KUNLUN MT

The Tarim basin, located in the northern margin of Tibet, plays a key role in comprehending Tibetan plateau rapid uplift process. Focuses have been on the contribution of basin block to create high mountain (e.g.,Chen and Molnar,1977, Molnar et al.,1993, Ph. Matte, Tapponnier et al.,1996) since 1970. The models, which mainly depend on result of geological survey and other geophysical observation in the region excepted Deep Seismic Sounding, remained unsure because of blank(or absence ) of DSS data until our experiment was performed. How Tarim and west Kunlun to contact in depth ? What different is in crust structure between Tarim and west Kunlun Mt.? This is what we will reply to in our *** finished the program in 1997. A total of 120 set seismograms (with 3\|component sensors) and 18000kg (AT and TNT) dynamos were used for the DSS field project. 6 shot in Tarim basin and 1 shot in west Kunlun Mt. (Quanshuigou) had been shoot successfully. One shot (Pishan shot) is used as fan\|shape observation (offset is from 150km to 220km) in 6 shots located in Tarim basin. The survey line is along Hotan river across the Tarim basin from the north to the south. In particular, we carried 20 set seismic recorders to Kunlun Mt. to make a short line about 60 km as the southern tendency of our line. The seismic recorders were placed in an interval of 3km from one stations to the next and covered a distance of more than 300km. The stations have to be moved their location per 2\|shotting to form a meeting system or a tracing system (layout). Fig.1 showed our survey line and location of shot as well as recorder stations. Finally we gained 625 cassettes with original seismic record (include cassettes of shooting time recorder et al.). After data process total 114. quite high\|quality three\|component digital records have been used to analyze. Here, only results of analyzing P wave data is given.

The green specimens of nano-size Y-TZP are formed by gelcasting method. Using polymer electrolytes NaPAA and NH_4.AA, we have studied the rheological properties of *** optimum pH range is between 8 to 10. The proper amount of dispersant changes with the solid *** rheological measurements of suspension containing NH_4.AA show lower *** theoretical green density has been calculated.

基于KFD＋ICA特征提取的SAR图像目标识别

提出了一种用基于核函数的Fisher判别分析(kernel based Fisher discriminant analysis,KFD)和独立分量分析(independent component analysis,ICA)特征提取的合成孔径雷达(synthetic aperture radar,SAR)图像目标识别方法。用基于核函数的Fisher判别分析提取SAR图像样本在高维特征空间中的最佳分类向量,对最佳分类向量做独立分量分析,得到表征图像样本的特征向量,用支持向量机(support vector machine,SVM)对提取得到的特征向量分类完成目标识别。对MSTAR数据库中三类军事目标用该方法进行特征提取和识别实验,识别率为96.92%。结果表明,KFD+ICA特征提取方法可提取目标的有效特征,在较低特征维数情况下获得较高的目标正确识别率。

PLASMA MODEL-ONE MODEL OF ELECTROMAGNETIC RESPONSE OF MATTER

The prerequisite and mode of electromagnetic response of nano metal/dielectric films to electromagnetic wave field were suggested. With the carrier density and the reflectance, transmittance of the film, the plasma frequency and the dependence of absorptance on the frequency of electromagnetic wave field were calculated respectively. The calculated results accorded with the experimental ones, which proved the plasma resonance is one mode of electromagnetic response.

Nitrogen Runoff and Leaching Losses During Rice-Wheat Rotations in Taihu Lake Region,china

Although nitrogen （N） loss through runoff and leaching from croplands is suspected to contribute to the deterioration of surrounding water systems, there is no conclusive evidence for paddy soils to prove this hypothesis. In this study, field plot experiments were conducted to investigate N losses through runoff and leaching for two consecutive years with 3 N fertilization rates in rice （Oryza sativa L.）-wheat （Triticum aestivum L.） rotations in the Taihu Lake region, china. A water collection system was designed to collect runoff and leachates for both the rice and wheat seasons. Results showed that dissolved N （DN）, rather than particulate N （PN）, was the main form of N loss by runoff. The NO3^--N concentration in runoff was between 0.1 and 4..7 mg L^-1, whereas the NH4.＋-N concentration ranged from below detection limit to 8.5 mg L^-1. Total N （TN） loads by runoff were 1.0-17.9 and 5.2-38.6 kg ha^-1 during rice and wheat seasons, respectively, and the main loss occurred at the early growing stage of the crops. Nitrogen concentrations in leachates during the rice seasons were below 1.0 mg L^-1 and independent of the N application rate, whereas those during the wheat season increased to 8.2 mg L^-1 and were affected by the fertilizer rate. Annual losses of TN through runoff and leaching were 13.7-4..1 kg ha^-1 from the rice-wheat cropping system, accounting for 5.6%-8.3% of the total applied N. It was concluded that reduction in the N fertilization rate, especially when the crop was small in biomass, could lower the N pollution potential for water systems.

Late Cenozoic high-resolution magnetostratigraphy in the Kunlun Pass Basin and its implications for the uplift of the northern Tibetan Plateau

The Kunlun Pass Basin, located in the middle of the eastern Kunlun Mountains, received relatively con-tinuous late Cenozoic sediments from the surrounding mountains, archiving great information to understand the deformation and uplift histories of the northern Tibetan Pla-teau. The Kunlun-Yellow River Movement, identified from the tectonomorphologic and sedimentary evolution of the Kunlun Pass Basin by Cui Zhijiu et al. （1997, 1998）, is roughly coincident with many important global and Plateau climatic and environmental events, becoming a crucial time interval to understand tectonic-climatic interactions. How-ever, the ages used to constrict the events remain great un-certainty. Here, we present the results of detailed magneto-stratigraphy of the late Cenozoic sediments in the Kunlun Pass Basin, which show the basin sediments were formed between about 3.6 Ma and 0.5 Ma and the Kunlun-Yellow River Movement occurred at 1.2 to0.78 Ma. The lithology, sedimentary facies and lithofacies associations divide the basin into five stages of tectonosedimentary evolution, indi-cating the northern Tibetan Plateau having experienced five episodes of tectonic uplifts at3.6, 2.69-2.58, 1.77, 1.2, 0.87 and0.78 Ma since the Pliocene.
