Geographical Agglomeration of chinese Manufacturing Industries

Based on the plant level data from the First National Census of Basic Units, the Second National Census of Basic Units, and the First National Economic Census of China, this paper ex- amines the geographical agglomeration of chinese manufacturing industries at a more disaggregated level both by industrial classi-fication and spatial unit analysis. Applying the agglomeration index proposed by Maurel and Sedillot, studies show that the most agglomerated industries are resource-intensive, and capital and technology intensive while industries demanding localized inputs or serving localized markets or favored by local governments are fairly dispersed. The more disaggregated industries are more spa- tially agglomerated. At the finer spatial scale, industries are more dispersed. Results indicate that within-county spillovers are stronger than nearby-county spillovers, and within-prefecture spillovers are stronger than nearby prefecture spillovers. Local- ized spillovers are still quite substantial at a range beyond that of counties. Comparing the agglomeration index of chinese manu- facturing industries in 1996, 2001 and 2004, agglomeration seems to be a general tendency. Results also indicate that some industries have experienced remarkable changes in their levels of agglom- eration in the period 1996–2004.

Fenneropaeneus chinensis is an important species in marine fishery resources and aquaculture in China. A genetic linkage map is essential for improving the efficiency of its breeding by marker-as- sisted selection and identifying commercially important genes. Linkage maps of F. chinensis were constructed with an F2 mapping population (110 progenies) using amplified fragment length polymor- phic (AFLP) marker in this study. Fifty-five AFLP primer combinations produced 53. AFLP markers fitting for map strategy in mapping family. The markers with 3.1 segregating ratios were analyzed using F2 intercross model for the common linkage map, while the markers with 1:1 ratio were analyzed using the pseudo-testcross strategy. The maps of male, female and common were constructed. The female map included 103.markers that formed 28 linkage groups, covering a total length of 1090 cM. All mark- ers were linked with the linkage groups. Segregation distortion was observed for 6 of 103.markers in the female map. The average distance between markers was 14.53.cM and ranged from 4.4 to 24.8 cM. The male map included 144 markers that formed 3. linkage groups. Ten markers remained unlinked in male map. Segregation distortion was observed for 7 of 144 markers in the male map. The total dis- tance of male map covered 1617 cM. The average distance between markers was 16.3. cM. The male map was 3..6% longer than the female map, which may reflect sex-specific recombination rates in chinese shrimp. The common map was composed of 216 markers, including in 44 linkage groups covering a total distance of 1772.1 cM. Two markers remained unlinked. No distorted markers of 216 markers were shown in the common map. The distance between markers was 10.42 cM. An average estimated genome size for the chinese shrimp was 2420 cM, which was consistent with the relative size of the Penaeid genome. The hard X-ray modulation telescope HXMT is a low orbit X-ray space telescope whose main science goals are to accomplish a hard X-ray all sky survey and to study timing and spectral characteristics of X-ray *** has three kinds of science instruments:the high energy X-ray detector(HE),the medium energy X-ray detector(ME) and the low energy X-ray detector(LE).The observation schedule of HXMT is a key to achieving the science goal of HXMT,and the analysis of the observation constraints is one of the first tasks in making the observation *** paper analyzes how the observation constraints influence the sky visibility and the visible time distribution of X-ray sources and discusses the schedule strategy with regard to the observation constraints.

An analysis of the wide area differential method of geostationary orbit satellites

This work aims to obtain a wide area differential method for geostationary orbit (GEO) constellation. A comparison between the dilution of precision (DOP) of four-dimensional (4D) calculation including sa- tellite clock errors and ephemeris errors and that of three-dimensional (3.) calculation only including ephemeris errors with the inverse positioning theory of GPS shows the conclusion that all the 3. PDOPs are greatly reduced. Based on this, a basic idea of correcting satellite clock errors and ephem- eris errors apart is put forward, and moreover, a specific method of separation is proposed. Satellite clock errors are separated in a master station with time synchronization, and all the remaining pseu- do-range errors after the satellite clock errors have been deducted are used to work out ephemeris corrections of all GEO satellites. By a comparative analysis of user positioning accuracy before and after differential, the wide area differential method is verified to be quite valid for GEO constellation.

This paper presents joint source channel variable length (VL) coding/decoding based on a space *** constructing a joint decoding plane trellis,better decoding performance can be achieved than by using the bit-level decoding ***,the plane trellis is complicated,which results in high decoding complexity for decoding VL turbo *** solve this problem,we construct a space trellis and design a low-complexity joint decoding algorithm with a variable length symbol-a posteriori probability (VLS-APP) algorithm in resource constrained deep space communication *** results show that the proposed approach reduces the decoding complexity by 10% compared with the plane trellis,and the gain of Eb/N0 is about 0.2 dB at SER=***,it provides substantial error protection for variable-length encoded image data.

Effects of various solar indices on accuracy of Earth’s thermospheric neutral density models

Four kinds of solar indices F10.7, E10.7, S10, Mg10 and four thermospheric neutral density models, i.e., CIRA72, DTM94, NRLMSISE00 and JB2006, are discussed. The CHAMP accelerometer data are used to calculate thermospheric total mass density. Based on the comparison of the model densities with CHAMP observations, the effects of various indices on the model accuracy are detected. It is found that under quiet and moderate solar conditions (F10.7200) the error’s standard deviation using E10.7 increases quickly and causes the models’ accuracy to fall down. With regard to S10, Mg10, their effects under quiet solar conditions are inconspicuous. If under active solar conditions, they can reduce the model error’s standard deviation by 5%-10%, implying that S10, Mg10 make the model error more stable. The JB2006 model, which was constructed by multi-solar-index (F10.7, S10, Mg10), is compared with DTM94 and NRLMSISE00 based on single-solar-index. It is found that JB2006’s accuracy is better than DTM94’s, and is close to NRLMSISE00 under the quiet solar condition. During the solar burst occurring on October 26, 2003. JB2006 has been in best agreement with CHAMP observations. All in all, the new indices may improve thermospheric density models’ accuracy under some special conditions. Concretely, E10.7 may reduce the average error of models and S10, Mg10 may prevent the error’s divergence.

Non-radial p modes and g modes appear simultaneously in red giant stars. Their frequencies have different variation rates,causing their frequencies to become close during stellar evolution so that avoided crossings *** separation between regions where acoustic waves and gravity waves propagate for l=1,2 and 3.is different,which results in the coupling efficiency also being *** present the results of numerical computations of the models we *** find that the two kinds of modes for l=2 and 3.need to be closer in frequency in order for a complete exchange to occur,compared to the case for modes with l=*** scaled oscillation frequencies also present better regularity with evolution than modes with l=1. In order to study the effect of the avoided crossings in detail,we set the mode which has the smallest mode inertia to be the p *** plot the two kinds of modes for l =1,2 and 3.in frequency and periodéchelle diagrams and find modes of l=2 and 3.fit the two relations better;they are more equally spaced in frequency and period than modes with l=*** careful observation of the two kinds oféchelle diagrams for l=2 and 3.we still find that some p modes shift a little from being equally spaced in frequency and some g modes,which are close to those p modes in period,shift a little from being equally spaced in ***,we study the relation between the deviation from period being equally spaced and the mode inertia of g modes for different *** g modes of l=1 with a period closer to the p mode have less inertia and the deviation is bigger in the periodéchelle *** deviation is also obvious. A series of Nd1-yDyyFe11-xTiMx(M=Mo,Si) alloys have been prepared by arc melting and studied by X-ray diffraction and neutron *** samples are found to crystallize in the ThMn12-type *** lattice parameters a and c and unit cell volume V of Nd0.5Dy0.5Fe11-xTiMox alloys increase linearly with increasing content of Mo(x),while the lattice parameters a and c and unit cell volume V of Nd0.5Dy0.5Fe11-xTiSix alloys decrease linearly with increasing content of Si(x).In NdyDy1-yFe11-xTiMx(M=Mo,Si) compounds,Ti and Mo atoms preferentially occupy the 8i sites and Si atoms preferentially occupy the 8j and 8f *** measurements show that the substitution of Fe by either Mo or Si leads to a decrease in the Curie temperature.
