AIM:To elucidate the underlying mechanisms of metastasis and to identify the metabolomic markers of gastric cancer ***:Gastric tumors from metastatic and nonmetastatic groups were used in this *** and different metabolic patterns were analyzed by gas chromatography,mass spectrometry and principal components analysis (PCA),*** performance was validated by the area under the curve (AUC) of receiver operating characteristic ***:Twenty-nine metabolites were differentially expressed in animal models of human gastric *** the 29 metabolites,20 were up-regulated and 9 were down-regulated in metastasis group compared to non-metastasis *** models from the metabolite profiles could differentiate the metastatic from the nonmetastatic specimens with an AUC value of *** metabolites were mainly involved in several metabolic pathways,including glycolysis (lactic acid,alaline),serine metabolism (serine,phosphoserine),proline metabolism (proline),glutamic acid metabolism,tricarboxylic acid cycle (succinate,malic acid),nucleotide metabolism (pyrimidine),fatty acid metabolism (docosanoic acid,and octadecanoic acid),and methylation(glycine).The serine and proline metabolisms were highlighted during the progression of ***:Proline and serine metabolisms play an important role in *** metabolic profiling of tumor tissue can provide new biomarkers for the treatment of gastric cancer metastasis.

In the present paper the concept of screw in classical mechanics is expressed in matrix form, inorder to formulate the dynamical equations of the multibody systems. The mentioned method can retain theadvantages of the screw theory and avoid the shortcomings of the dual number notation. Combining the screw-matrix method with the tool of graph theory in Roberson/Wittenberg formalism. We can expand theapplication of the screw theory to the general case of multibody systems. For a tree system, the dynamicalequations for each j-th subsystem, composed of all the outboard bodies connected by j-th joint can beformulated without the constraint reaction forces in the joints. For a nontree system, the dynamical equationsof subsystems and the kinematical consistency conditions of the joints can be derived using the loop *** whole process of calculation is unified in matrix form. A three-segment manipulator is discussed as anexample.

A new coupled finite element formulation is proposed to calculate a conformation tensor model in two complex flows： a planar contraction flow and a planar flow around a symmetrically placed cylinder. The components of conformation tensor are first computed together with the velocity and pressure to describe the change of morphology of polymer chain coils in flow fields. Macroscopic quantities of viscoelastic flow are then calculated based on the conformation tensor. Comparisons between the numerical simulations and experiments for stress patterns and velocity profiles are carried out to prove the validity of the method.

This paper extends the conventional concept of radiation stress(Longuet-Higgins and Stewart,1964) in progressive water waves to standing waves,so that its vertical profile could be defined and calculated in a new technical way. The hydrodynamic numerical model being coupled with the vertically varying radiation stress in standing waves is used to simulate the currents being induced by standing waves in the vertical section. Numerical modeling of suspended sediment transport is then carried out to simulate the evolution of the bed composed of fine sediments by the currents. The scour and deposition patterns simulated are in qualitative agreement with prior laboratory and field observations.

posthuckling analysis is presented for the stilTened cylindrical shell of finite length subjected to combined loading of external liquid pressure and axial compression. The formulations are based on a boundary layer theory of shell buckling, which includes the effects of nonlinear prebuckling deformations, nonlinear large deflections in the postbuckling range and initial geometrical imperfections of the shell. The 'smeared stifl'cner' approach is adopted for the stiffencrs. In the analysis a singular perturbation technique is used (o determine the interactive buckling loads and the postbuckling paths. Numerical examples cover the performance of perfect and imperfect, stringer and ring stiffened cylindrical shells. Typical results arc presented in the dimcnsionless graphical form.

This study aims to discuss the effect of preventing pathological changes and cognitive degeneration of Tg2576 mice by inoculating the subunit fragment of Aβ ***-two Tg2576 mice were randomly divided into four groups, each having eight mice:Group I, the control group, inoculated with adjuvants;Group II, the Aβ42 group, inoculated with Aβ42 vaccine;Group Ⅲ, the Aβ1―15 group, inoculated with Aβ1―15 vaccine;and Group IV, the Aβ36―42 group, inoculated with Aβ36―42 *** titer of the serum anti-body against Aβ42(Group II) was significantly higher than that of the control group(Group I), and a low level of antibodies could be detected in the brain homogenate in the three vaccine-inoculated *** water maze test showed that the Aβ42 group, Aβ1―15 group and Aβ36―42 group were obviously im-proved compared with the control *** cultured splenocytes sampled from each group were induced by Con A or their respective antigens, and the cell proliferation of the three vaccine-inoculated groups was significantly higher than that of the control *** the Aβ42 group, IL2 and IFN-γ were relatively low and IL4 and IL10 were relatively *** contrast, IL4 and IL10 were much higher in the Aβ1―15 group and IL2 and IFN-γ were much higher in the Aβ36―42 *** immunohistochemical test showed a large number of senile plaques in the brain cortex and hippocampus of the mice in the con-trol group, no senile plaque in the brain of the Aβ1―15 group and Aβ42 group mice, and a small number of senile plaques in the brain of the Aβ36―42 group *** results suggest that the subunit fragment of Aβ1―15 vaccine could prevent not only cognitive and behavioral degeneration but also Aβ deposition and formation of senile plaques in Tg2576 mice.
