Using metallurgical structure observation and measurement of mechanical properties such as micro-hardness, tensile test,cold-bend,the effect of Nb,Mo and Ti on the structure and mechanical properties of 700MPa weathering steel was studied under the same rolling *** results show the formation of M/A is promoted by Mo,while inhibited by ***,M/A island,as a hard phase,is harm to the material toughness and plasticity;high M/A island fraction will result in obvious crack during cold *** effect of Nb on increasing the strength of experiment steel is very *** Nb content of 700MPa steel must be higher than 0.05%to ensure the *** optimal mechanical properties of the experiment steel will be gained by the proper match ratio of Nb,Mo and *** industry trial production of 700MPa high-strength weathering steel for container was also developed.

The interaction coefficients of *** and Mg in the dilute Sn-based solution have been de- termined at 1500℃.Experimental measurements were taken by equilibrating the slag-alloy systems with metallic Sn as flux and graphite as reducing agent under Ar atmosphere mixed with different portion of *** was found that a considerable error may produce if the coefficients of ε_(Ca)^(Ca),ε_(Mg)^(Mg)and ε_(Ti)^(Ti)in the molten Sn were neglected when the activities of the components CaO,MgO and TiO_2 in the slags were estimated by this method.

The finishing rolling elongationδof the alloying non-quenched and tempered steel is calculated with the covalent electron number nA of the strongest bond of the alloying phases and the interface electron density differenceΔρof the phase interfaces. The calculations show that the elongationδα-Fe of the matrixα-Fe decreases with rolling refinement, the elongationδα-Fe-C-M of solid solution phases (M denotes alloying element) is inversely proportional to the covalent electron number nAα-Fe-C-M of the strongest bond, the elonga tion decrementΔδα-Fe/α-Fe-C-M caused by interface strengthening is directly proportional to the interface electron density differenceΔρα-Fe/α-Fe-C-M, but the elongation decrementsΔδα-Fe/MCC1 andΔδα-Fe-C/MCC2 caused by dispersion strengthening and precipitation strength- ening respectively are directly proportional to the ratio of the electron density differenceΔρα-Fe/MCC1 andΔρα-Fe/MCC2 of the strengthening interfaces toΔρα-Fe/α-Fe-C of the basic interfaceα-Fe/α-Fe-C. Therefore, the finishing rolling elongation of the alloying non-quenched and tempered steel is considered to be subtracting all the elongation decrements of solution strengthening, interface strengthening, dispersion strengthening and precipitation strengthening from the elongation of the refinedα-Fe matrix. The calculation formulas in this paper are integrated with the proposed ones ofσS,σb and ofαK delivered in another paper, the finishing rolling mechanical properties can be achieved and the calculated results agree well with the measured ones.

The influence of alloying design,controlled rolling technology and cooling system of X100 hot-rolled strips on microstructure and micro-hardness has been discussed in detail in this *** results show that optimal chemical composition range of X100 hot-rolled strips is obtained on the basis of X80 by increasing contents of C,Mn,Ni and Mo of *** granular bainite microstructure could be refined and the volume fraction and size of M-A islands could be controlled in a reasonable range by reasonably regulating cooling rate and coiling temperature of X100 pipeline steel,which ensure high strength and toughness of X100 pipeline steel.

Coupled with hot-continuous rolling technology and based on the calculation of the finishing rolling impact work in the non-quenched and tempered Si-Mn steel, the calculations of the finishing rolling impact work in the alloying non-quenched and tempered steel with the elements of Cr, Ni, Mo, W, Cu, V, Nb and Ti are studied with the covalent electron number nA of the strongest bond in alloying phases, the smallest electron density difference ?ρ of phase interfaces, and the number of atom states σ (σ′) which keep the interface electron density continuous. The calculated results show that the finishing rolling impact work of the alloying non-quenched and tempered steel intensely depends on strengthening mechanisms. The solution strengthening, interface strengthening, precipita- tion strengthening of pearlite, and dispersion strengthening will result in the decrease of the finishing rolling impact work; the refinement strengthening, the precipitation strength- ening of V, Nb and Ti in α-Fe-C-V(Nb, Ti), and the residual austenite containing Ni on the boundary of α-Fe-C-Ni will increase the impact work; and the increments or decrements can be calculated with nA, ?ρ, σ (σ′) and weights of alloying elements. The calculation formulas of the finishing rolling impact work in this paper are intergraded with the sug- gested ones of the finishing rolling tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation of the non-quenched and tempered steel. The calculated results agree well with the measured ones.

The production of high purity steel is a major task for the iron and steel enterprises in the 21st century. To improve the quality of steel products and produce the cleanness steel, the key technique is to control inclusions in the molten steel. In the present investigation, a novel fine inclusion removal technology due to the dispersed in-situ phase induced by the composite ball explosion reaction was put forward. A composite ball with this function has been designed and the industrial experimental investigation was also carried out. The results indicate that feeding composite ball in RH ladle is a novel technology and the inclusion in the molten steel can be removed effectively. Compared with conventional inclusion removal technology, the number of the oxide inclusion can be decreased to a lower level and the inclusion size becomes much finer. Using this novel technology, the total oxygen in the as-cast slab can approach to 6ppm and the steel production cost for per ton can be reduced by 5 -12 RMB. This novel technology can be achieved without special facility and be realized in most steelmaking plant.
