The present study investigates the interaction of steep waves with semi-circular breakwater with the complex p.ane's Cauchy boundary integral theorem. The boundary integral method is used to transform the calculation in fluid domain into its boundary alone. In the calculation the computation domain is moved with the propagation of waves. A numerical solution is obtained for incident stokes waves passing the submerged obstacles. This method has been extended to the calculation of wave run-up on a slope for estimating wave overtopping.

Quality of service (Qos) multicast routing has continued to be a very important research topic in the Internet. A method of multicast routing is proposed to simultaneously optimize several parameters based on multiobjective genetic algorithm, after the related work is reviewed. The contribution lies on that the selection process of such routing is treated with multiobjective optimization. Different quality criterions in Ip network are taken into account for multicast communications. A set of routing trees is generated to approximate the pareto front of multicast problem. Multiple trees can be selected from the final set of nondominated solutions, and applied to obtain a good overall link cost and balance traffic distribution according to some simulation results.

rotation symmetric Boolean functions (rsBFs) have been used as components of different cryptosystems. This class of functions are invariant under circular translation of indices. In this paper, we investigated balanced rsBFs and 1st order correlation immune rsBFs. Based on constructive techniques, we give an accurate enumeration formula for n-variable balanced rsBFs when n is a power of a prime. Furthermore, an original and efficient method to enumerate all n-variable (n prime) 1st order correlationimmune functions is presented. The exact number of 1st order correlation immune rsBFs with 11 variables is 6925047156550478825225250374129764511077684773805520800 and the number of 13 variables has 189 digits. Then for more variables, we also provide a significant lower bound on the number of 1st order correlation immune rsBFs.

spin glass theory,as a paradigm for describing disordered magnetic systems,constitutes a prominent subject of study within statistical *** symmetry breaking(rsB),as one of the pivotal concepts for the understanding of spin glass theory,means that under identical conditions,disordered systems can yield distinct states with nontrivial *** fiber laser(rFL)based on rayleigh scattering(rs)is a complex disordered system,owing to the disorder and stochasticity of *** this work,for the first time,a precise theoretical model is elaborated for studying the photonic p.ase transition via the p.atform of rs-based rFL,in which we clearly reveal that,apart from the pump power,the photon p.ase variation in rFL is also an analogy to the temperature term in spin-glass p.ase transition,leading to a novel insight into the intrinsic mechanisms of photonic p.ase *** addition,based on this model and real-time high-fidelity detection spectral evolution,we theoretically predict and experimentally observe the mode-asymmetric characteristics of photonic p.ase transition in rs-based *** finding contributes to a deeper understanding of the photonic rsB regime and the dynamics of rs-based rFL.

By using an algebraic method, the mathematical foundation of sQUArE attack is studied in this paper. We point out that a sQUArE distinguisher exists if and only if the degree of the polynomial function between n-bit input which is active and n-bit output which is balanced is 2 n-2. And the algebraic method can also be used to determine the property of a balanced set after passed through a nonlinear s-box, by which in some cases we can find a sQUArE distinguisher with more rounds. The validity of sQUArE attack and the influence of the choice of s-box are also studied. If the round function of a Feistel cipher has a low algebraic degree, a sQUArE attack cannot recover the right keys in some special cases. However, sQUArE attack on spN ciphers always holds. The relations among sQUArE attack and some other cryp.analytic method are studied, showing that if a cipher is breakable by sQUArE attack, then it is also breakable by the interpolation attack.

Field monitoring was conducted to investigate and quantify the long-term effects of p.anut shell biochar on soil-grass interaction over three *** 10 m5 m grassed plots were constructed in completely decomposed granitic *** of them were amended,respectively,with 5%and 10%biochar contents(m^(3)/m^(3))for grass growth,while the third was without biochar *** the threeyear monitoring,p.ant characteristics,saturated water permeability(k_(s))of grassed soil and soil suction were *** monitored results show that the grass leaf area index(LAI)and root length density(rLD)with biochar amendment were improved by 38%and 200%,*** the grassed plot without biochar,a threshold rLD existed with a value of 1.7 cm/cm^(3),beyond which k_(s) raised *** threshold rLD increased by 52%when biochar content increased from 0%to 10%.This implies that biochar may restrict the increase in k_(s) of grassed soil due to the rise in the threshold *** presence of biochar and grass can retain over 100%higher suction after heavy rainfalls,while 54%lower p.ak suction under evapotranspiration(ET)compared with the non-amended *** can alleviate the negative effects on hydraulic properties caused by p.ant growth and reduce ET-induced excessive water loss.A 5%p.anut shell biochar content is recommended for the long-term management of vegetated earthen infrastructures.

A novel method to analyze the damping effect of the VsC based FACTs(VBF) device is proposed,which is developed on the basis of the well-known equalarea criterion and small-disturbance analysis of power system *** use of the proposed method,two conclusions are obtained for study of the damping effect of the *** research results clearly show the contribution of the VBF control to the damping of power system *** results of an example power system are used to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
