Recent developments of the synthesis and applications of functionalized ionic liquids (including dual-functionalized ionic liquids) have been highlighted in this review. Ionic liquids are at-tracting attention as alternative solvents in green chemistry, but as more functionalized ILs are pre-pared, a greater number of applications in increasingly diverse fields are found.

Active contour modeling (ACM) has been shown to be a powerful method in object boundary extraction. In this paper, a new ACM based on vector bundle constraint for particle swarm optimization (VBCPSO-ACM) is proposed. Different from the traditional particle swarm optimization (PSO), in the process of velocity update, a vector bundle is predefined for each particle and velocity update of the particle is restricted to its bundle. Applying this idea to ACM, control points on the contour are treated as particles in PSO and the evolution of the contour is driven by the particles. Meanwhile, global searching is shifted to local searching in ACM by decreasing the number of neighbors and inertia. In addition, the addition and deletion of particles on the active contour make this new model possible for representing the real boundaries more precisely. The proposed VBCPSO-ACM can avoid self-intersection during contour evolving and also extract inhomogeneous boundaries. The simulation results proved its great performance in performing contour extraction.

The paper presents a flexible and effective method of development of negotiating agents. A strategy specification, which is specified by a state chart and defeasible rules, can be dynamically inserted into an agent shell incorporating a state chart interpreter and a defeasible logic inference engine, in order to yield a desirable agent. Allocation of grid resources aims at improving resource utility and grid application performance. Currently, the algorithms proposed for this purpose do not fit well the autonomic, dynamic, distributive and heterogeneous features of the grid environment. According to MAS （multi-agent system） cooperation mechanism and market bidding game rules, a model of allocating allocation of grid resources based on market economy is introduced to reveal the relationship between supply and demand. This model can make good use of the studying and negotiating ability of consumers＇ agent and takes full consideration of the consumer＇s behavior, thus rendering the application and allocation of resource of the consumers rational and valid. In the meantime, the utility function of consumer is given; the existence and the uniqueness of Nash equilibrium point in the resource allocation game and the Nash equilibrium solution are discussed. A dynamic game algorithm of allocating grid resources is designed. Experimental results demonstrate that this algorithm diminishes effectively the unnecessary latency, improves significantly the smoothness of response time, the ratio of throughput and resource utility, thus rendering the supply and demand of the whole grid resource reasonable and the overall grid load balanceable.

Fe3O4 nano-powder was prepared by the hydrothermal method. The structure and morphology of the product were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electronic microscopy (SEM). The as-prepared powder has regularly spherical morphology, and the average size of product is about 2. nm. The possible application use of this material as the active mass of anode for rechargeable Li batteries was examined by cyclic voltammeter (CV), galvanostatic charge/*** experimental results showed that this material exhibited large specific capacity at the first cycle, and the discharge and charge capacity retention of this electrode are 37.04% and 48.76%, respectively. Furthermore, the impedance change of Fe3O4 electrode under different cycle number and potential was examined.

This paper is concerned with the problem of adaptive neural control for uncertain nonlinear strict-feedback time-delay systems with unknown virtual control coefficients. Radial basis function (RBF) neural networks are employed to directly approximate unknown virtual control signals, and then the adaptive neural control law is constructed by Lyapunov-Krasovskii functionals and backstepping. In order to avoid encountering a large number of adaptive parameters when using RBF neural networks as function approximators, an unknown constant, instead of unknown neural weights themselves, is employed as the estimated parameter. This technique makes only one adaptive parameter tuned online, thus significantly alleviating the burdensome computation. Meanwhile, some continuous functions are introduced to overcome the design difficulty originating from the use of one adaptive parameter. The proposed adaptive control guarantees the boundedness of all the signals in the closed-loop system. Simulation studies are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the scheme.

Deformation and Densification Laws of Powder Cold Forging

The deformation and densification laws of preform upsetting and closed-die forging were researched based on experimental results of cold forging of deoxidized Fe powder sintering porous material under different initial conditions such as friction factor, ratio between height and diameter and relative density. The fracture limit criteria＂ for powder cold-forging upsetting and the limit strain curve were achieved. The effect of friction facto,, ratlt, between height and diameter and relative density on fracture strain limitation was emphatically analyzed. The limit process parameter curves for the deformation of upsetting were also confirmed. Laws of deformation, densification and density distribution for closed-die forging of powder perform during cold-forging were further analyzed and discussed with the help of experimental phase analysis. As a result, this experiment established theoretical foundations for the design of preform and die as well as optimization of technological process parameters.

Ti thin films were firstly deposited on glass substrates by magnetron sputtering method, then sintered the Ti thin films in air atmosphere and finally TiO2.transparence thin films on glass substrates were obtained. The structure and surface morphologies of the thin films were characterized by X-ray diffraction and SEM. The growth process of the thin films has been observed. The annealing time and annealing temperatures have an affect on the growth of the films.
