[1]A large portion of interannual variability during early summer(May-June mean;hereinafter referred to as MJ) and late summer(July-August mean;hereinafter referred to as JA) rainfall over East Asia is dominated by El Nino-Southern Oscillation(ENSO) events. Four ENSO-related modes have been identified by using empirical orthogonal function (EOF) decomposition analysis on East Asian rainfall for the period 1980-1999,with EOF2.for MJ rainfall(hereinafter referred to as MJ-2.similar notations are used for other modes) corresponding to the developing phase of La Nina events,wrhile MJ-3.JA-1,and JA-2.correspond to the decaying phase of El Nino *** authors investigate the predictability of ENSO-related MJ and JA rainfall modes by analyzing the outputs of 12.atmospheric general circulation models(AGCMs) of the Atmospheric Model Intercomparison Project Phase II(AMIP II),which were run in an AGCM stand-alone mode and were forced by the monthly historical sea surface temperature(SST) from 1980 to *** results show that although the climatological differences between MJ and JA rainfall are reasonably reproduced by most AGCMs,the four ENSO-related interannual variability modes of MJ and JA rainfall show different *** both atmospheric circulation and precipitation anomalies associated with MJ-3.the slow El Nino decaying mode) are reasonably reproduced by nearly all the models,the JA-1(MJ-2. mode is only partly reproduced by about two thirds(half) of the AMIP II *** models fail to reproduce the JA-2.*** relatively low skills in predicting both JA-1 and JA-2.modes are primarily due to the bias of the AMIP models in simulating both the intensity and the position of the western North Pacific *** predictability of the JA-1 mode is slightly higher than that of JA-2.and the difference results from the stronger and longer persistence of SST anomaly(SSTA) forcing associated with the decaying ENSO *** low skill of the MJ-2.predi

The study of airborne pollen and spores inTaoyuan, Hunan Province of china

In order to study the airborne pollen and Spores, a circular year airborne Samples werecollected at 10m height above ground from Taoyuan ecological station, which is located in TaoyuanCounty of Hunan Province. The analytical results showed that there are 188 plant families and generain airborne pollen and spores. of them, 102.are xylophyte plants, 68 are herbase plat, and 18are pteridophyta plants. The plant families and genera account for 80% of the local plant families andgenera. Among them, 54 are specific families and genera, Which are peculiar tO tropics andsubtropics. The main pollen and spore families and genera are Pinus. Cunninghamia Juglans,Quercus, Cupressaceae, Urticaceac, and Gleicheniaceae. There are two peak stages of airbornepollen and spore concentration throughout the year. One is the peak stage of xylophyte plants fromMarch to May and the other, herbaceous plants from niddle dekad of August to early October. Themaximum year round value is 850 000 grains/*** in middle dekad of September and theminimum is 1500 grains/*** in early December. In the local district, the airbome pollen andSpores which can induce respiratory tract disease in spring are Taxodiaceae, Cupresaseeae, CastrieaCastanopsis, Queme, Juglans, Platycarya, and that can induce disease in autumn are Canabis,Gramineae, and Artmisia.

Layered compound zirconium bis(monohydrogenphosphate)(alpha-ZrP) intercalated with rare earth complex Eu(DBM)(3.phen was prepared. The pre-intercalation of p-methoxyaniline into alpha-ZrP makes the interlayer separation large enough to exchange PMA with europium complex, thus, the luminescent assembly was prepared. This was confirmed by X-ray diffraction, UV-visible spectra and elemental analysis. The fluorescence spectra and lifetime of the assembly were also presented.

Iron speciation in cherts from the Laobao Formation,South china:Implications for anoxic and ferruginous deep-water conditions

Cherts in the Laobao Formation in the Silikou section,South china were deposited in terminal Ediacaran *** speciations of iron in cherts,such as pyrite Fe(FeP),HCl-extractable Fe(FeH),and total Fe(FeT),and their interrelationships,are proxies for distinguishing oxic,anoxic but ferruginous,and sulfidic conditions,which is an effective method for studying the terminal Ediacaran ocean *** chert samples from the Laobao Formation,pyrite concentrations are generally low(2. and 0.84 and most exceed 0.3.,and most of FeT/Al ratios range from 0.55 to 5.87(averaging 1.1).Relatively high content of highly reactive Fe and low content of pyrite indicate a scarcity of H2. and Fe-enriched *** features suggested that the deposition setting of Laobao cherts was anoxic and *** Ediacaran deep-water in the South china Basin was most likely anoxic and ferruginous,which played a key role in the emergence and evolution of early multicellular life.

The apparent standard potential of Dy/Dy(III) system in the LiCl-KCl eutectic has been determined by the logarithmic analysis of the semi-integrals of voltammograms, logarithmic analysis of chronopotentiograms and the open circuit potentiometry. The dysprosium equilibrium potentiab for various concentration of dysprosium chloride in the LiCl-KCl eutectic melt between 400-500℃ were first determined experimentally, and the apparent standard potential of this system and its temperature dependance have been calculated.

The present study was performed to investigate the effects of two microbial inoculums in bait on the survival,growth performance and water quality of ark shell seed,Scapharca broughtoni. Ark shell were fed with bait containing three graded ratios of Bacillus pumilus(0,0.5%,1%) for each three graded ratios of Rhodotorula mucilaginosa(0,0.5%,l%).The results of 5 weeks feeding trial showed that adding 0.5%of Bacillus pumilus and 0.5%of Rhodotorula mucilaginosa can significantly enhance the survival ration of ark shell,Scapharca broughtoni(P 0.5).Based on these results,adding the combination has greater effect than the single and the combination of 0.5%Bacillus pumilus and 0.5%of Rhodotorula mucilaginosa is optimal for increasing survival ration,growth performance and reducing the ammonia concentration in water.

Magnetostratigraphy of the late Cenozoic Laojunmiao anticline in the northern Qilian Mountains and its implications for the northern Tibetan Plateau uplift

Cenozoic sediments in the foreland basin——Jiuquan Basin in west Hexi Corridor recorded tectonic uplift information of the Qilian Mountains. High resolution paleomagnetic dating of the Laojunmiao （LJM） section across the central LJM anticline in the southern Jiuquan Basin reveals ages of the Getanggou Member, Niugetao Member in the Shulehe Formation, the Yumen Conglomerate, Jiuquan Conglomerate and Gobi Formation at >13.8.3.Ma, 8.3.4.9 Ma, 3.66― 0.93.Ma, 0.84―0.14 Ma and 0.14―0 Ma, respectively. Sedimentary evolution study suggests that the Qilian Mountains should begin to rise gradually since8―6.6 Ma, accompanied by sedimentary environments changing from lacustrine mudstones-sandstones to alluvial conglom- erates. Rapid uplift of the Qilian Mountains began at3.66 Ma, followed by a series of stepwise or intermittent intensive uplifts at about 2.0}Ma, 0.93.0.84 Ma and 0.14 Ma, which finally resulted in the present high Qilian Mountains.

Algebraically explicit analytical solutions of unsteady conduction with variable thermal properties in cylindrical coordinate

The analytical solutions of unsteady heat conduction with variable thermal properties (thermal conductivity, density and specific heat are functions of temperature or coordinates) are meaningful in theory. In addition, they are very useful to the computational heat conduction to check the numerical solutions and to develop numerical schemes, grid generation methods and so forth. Such solutions in rectangular coordinates have been derived by the authors. Some other solutions for 1-D and 2.D axisymmetrical heat conduction in cylindrical coordinates are given in this paper to promote the heat conduction theory and to develop the relative computational heat conduction.

Aim:The present study aimed to elucidate the role of T-subtype calcium channels（Cav3.1,Cav3.2.and Cav3.3.in the pathogenesis of neuropathic pain at spinal ***:The chronic compression of the dorsal root ganglion（CCD）rat modelwas *** antisense oligonucleotide of Cav3.1,Cav3.2.and Cav3.3.or nor-mal saline（NS）were intrathecally administered twice per day from the first day tothe fourth day after *** mechanical withdrawal threshold and pawthermal withdrawal latency were measured to evaluate the tactile allodynia andthermal hyperalgesia,***:CCD rats developed reliable tactileallodynia and thermal hyperalgesia after *** administration ofantisense oligonucleotide of Cav3.2.and Cav3.3.significantly relieved tactileallodynia and thermal hyperalgesia in CCD rats,but not ***:Cav3.2.nd Cav3.3.subtype calcium channels in the spinal cord may play an important rolein the pathogenesis of neuropathic pain,which may contribute to the manage-ment of the neuropathic pain.
