The development of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) technology has made it possible to carry out functional brain imaging experiments in small animals. Usually, group data is required to form the assessment of population, which can not only increase the sensitivity of the overall experiment, but also allow the generalization of the conclusion to the whole population. In order to average the signals of functional brain images from different subjects, it is necessary to put all the mapping images into the same standard space (template image). However, up to now, most animal brain templates remain unavailable and it must be done by ourselves. In this study, a template image based on the brains of eight male Wistar rats is obtained, and it is successfully used in our present Alzheimer disease (AD)-like rat model studies as template for spatially normalizing images to the same stereotaxical space. The fMRI results processed with statistical parametric mapping (SPM99) software are in agreement with the results from immunohistochemical experiment, which proves that this method is universally applicable to the pathologic models of other small animals and to human brain lesion studies.

AIM:To investigate the expression of toll-like receptor(TLR) 4,nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB) p65 and hypoxiainducible transcription factor 1α(HIF-1α) in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and their clinical ***:The mRNA of TLR4 and HIF-1α were investigated by real-time polymerase chain reaction in 3. cases of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and its adjacent tissues,and expression of TLR4,NF-κB p65 and HIF-1α protein were detected by immunohistochemistry in 65 cases of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma tissues and 3. cases of corresponding adjacent *** relationship between TLR4 or HIF-1α and pathologic features,as well as the association between TLR4 and HIF-1α,were also ***-Meier method was used to assess the impact of expression of TLR4 and HIF-1α on survival of patients with pancreatic ***:The relative quantif ication of TLR4 and HIF-1α mRNA in tumor tissues was 0.81±0.10 and 0.87±0.11,respectively,signif icantly higher than that in adjacent tissues(0.81±0.10 vs 0.70±0.16,P=0.002.0.87±0.11 vs 0.68±0.13.P=0.000).The protein expression of TLR4,NF-κB p65 and HIF-1α in tumor tissues was 69.2.%,66.15% and 70.80%,respectively,being signif icantly higher than that in adjacent normal tissues(69.2.% vs 3..50%,P=0.003.66.15% vs 3..58%,P=0.001;70.80% vs 3..80%,P=0.001).There was no signif icant correlation between TLR4 or HIF-1α expression and the age,gender,tumor location,the degree of tumor differentiation in the patients(P>0.05).However,there was signif icant correlation between the expression of TLR4 or HIF-1α and tumor size,lymph node metastasis,venous invasion and clinical staging(Pdevelopment of pancreatic adenocarcinoma.

Synthesis of GoldMag particles with assembled structure and their applications in immunoassay

Micrometer-sized Fe3.4 particles and nano-sized gold particles were first synthesized by methods of self-aggregation of surface-chemically modified Fe3.4 nanoparticles and citrate reduction of the Au3. to Au0, respectively. Interaction between these two types of particles resulted in the assembly of nano-sized gold particles on the surface of the micrometer-sized Fe3.4 particles, forming an assembled structure with the Fe3.4 core particles around which are attached nano-sized gold parti- cles. The Fe3.4/Au structure is named GoldMag particles with assembled structure. The synthetic process, structure, and magnetic property of the GoldMag particles were analyzed. GoldMag particles with assembled structure have an irregular shape, rough surface with a diameter of 2.3.μm. These particles exhibit the superparamagnetic property with saturated magnetization of 41 A·m2.kg. In a single step, antibodies could be readily immobilized onto the surface of the particles with a high binding capacity. The GoldMag particles can be used as a novel carrier in immunoassays. The maximum quantity of human IgG immobilized onto GoldMag particles was 3.0 μg/mg. In order to validate the quality of the GoldMag particles as immunoassay carriers, an immunoassay system was used. The relative amount of immobilized human IgG was measured by HRP-labeled anti human IgG. The coefficient of variation within parallel samples of each group was below 6% and the coefficient of variation of means between five groups carried out separately was below 7%. Based on the sandwich method, the Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) and interleukin-8 (IL-8) were also analyzed by qualitative and quantitative detection, respectively. The result indicated that the GoldMag particles with assembled structure were an ideal carrier in immunoassay.

The key ingredient for promoting software reuse in a repository base integrated development environment, is to provide support for the software developer who wants to search the repository to locate and retrieve suitable software components for reuse. This paper presents that reusable software components form a base to provide a flexible representation of component adaptability to any repository with a specific classification. As an alternative, it proposes to automatically identify and convert the component source code with all its information into a standard form, so that components can be transferred from one type of library to another.

It is the development tendency of gas pipeline to improve strength of line pipe and transmission pressure, which is an important symbol of the progress of gas pipeline technology. The 2.d West-East Gas Pipeline (the 2.nd WEGP) is the largest-scale X80 high pressure gas pipeline project in the world. Through the joint development project by Pipeline company, research institute, and steel company, a series of achievements of technology have been obtained, which makes it possible to apply pressure of 12.MPa and X80 LSAW and HSAW pipe for the 2.nd WEGP. Specifications of X80 steel and pipe have been issued based on API 5L. High performance X80 steel and pipe have been developed and meets the Specification. General design conception of applying HSAW pipe and LSAW pipe on gas transmission trunk line with large diameter and high pressure has been established. Failure control of the 2.nd WEGP has been carried out to avoid failure and reduce the lost which based on analysis of pipeline failure mode. In this paper, research and development of high performance X80 welded pipe, establishment of technical route of joint application of HSAW and LSAW steel pipe and key technology of failure control are emphatically discussed.

Seismic wave propagating in Kelvin-Voigt homogeneous visco-elastic media

This paper studies, under a small disturbance, the responses of seismic transient wave in the visco-elastic media and the analytic solution of the corresponding third-order partial differential equation. A plane wave solution of Kelvin-Voigt homogeneous visco-elastic third-order partial differ-ential equation with a pulse source is obtained. By the principle of pulse stacking of particle vibration, the result is extended to the solution of Kelvin-Voigt homogeneous visco-elastic third-order partial differential equation with any source. The velocities of seismic wave propagating and the attenuation of seismic wave in Kelvin-Voigt homogeneous visco-elastic media are discussed. The velocities of seismic wave propagating and the coefficient of attenuation of seismic wave in Kelvin-Voigt homogeneous visco-elastic media are derived, expressed as functions of density of the media, elastic modulus and visco-elastic coefficient. These results can be applied in inversing lithology parameters in geophysical prospecting.

Robustness and breakup of the spiral wave in a two-dimensional lattice network of neurons

The robustness and breakup of spiral wave in a two-dimensional lattice networks of neurons are investigated. The effect of small- world type connection is often simplified with local regular connection and the long-range connection with certain probability. The network effect on the development of spiral wave can be better described by local regular connection and changeable long-range connection probability than fixed long-range connection probability because the long-range probability could be changeable in realistic biological system. The effect from the changeable probability for long-range connection is simplified by multiplicative noise. At first, a stable rotating spiral wave is developed by using appropriate initial values, parameters and no-flux boundary conditions, and then the effect of networks is investigated. Extensive numerical studies show that spiral wave keeps its alive and robust when the intensity of multiplicative noise is below a certain threshold, otherwise, the breakup of spiral wave occurs. A statistical factor of synchronization in two-dimensional array is defined to study the phase transition of spiral wave by checking the membrane potentials of all neurons corresponding to the critical parameters(the intensity of noise or forcing current)in the curve for factor of synchronization. The Hindmarsh-Rose model is investigated, the Hodgkin-Huxley neuron model in the presence of the channel noise is also studied to check the model independence of our conclusions. And it is found that breakup of spiral wave is easier to be induced by the multiplicative noise in presence of channel noise.

Effect of Addition of Sodium Dodecyl Sulfite on Physical Properties of Wheat Gluten Films

Films were made from the wheat glutens treated with 5%,10%,15%,2.%,2.% and 3.%(wt% of gluten) of sodium dodecyl sulfite (SDS) in order to improve the properties of the films. Glycerol was used as a *** addition of SDS in wheat glutens prior to forming films significantly increased the elongation at break(E) (Pcontrast,a decrease in the tensile strength(TS) of the films from gluten containing-SDS was ***,a significant decrease in P_(O_2. and P_(co_2. of films from gluten treated with SDS was noticed. Although SDS-treated gluten film was slightly more yellow and darker than control one, it was not visually detrimental. It is indicated that the treatment with SDS prior to forming films greatly enhances the mechanical properties of wheat gluten *** obivous improvement in water vapor permeability and extensibility of gluten films means that the use of SDS is a potential choice for improving properties of gluten films. The edible film was used to preserve tomatoes. The experimental results show that the shelf life of tomatoes coated with the edible film is extended, and the nutritional quality is kept well.

A series of cross-linked gels of Poly（N-isopropylacrylamide） [P（NIPAAm）] and Poly（methacr-ylic acid）[P（MAA）] homopolymers and P（NIPAAm-co-MAA） random copolymers were synthesized based on NIPAAm and MAA using 4,4-Bis-（methacryloylamino） azobenzene （BMAAB） as a cross-linker. The swelling behavior of these hydrogels in different pH buffer solutions was studied. The influential factors of the gels including composition of NIPAAm and MAA, pH and temperature upon swelling behavior were investigated. The obtained gels not only hold pH and thermometrical sensitivity, but also take on enzymatic sensitivity due to the cross-linker could be degraded by enzymes of colon. Swelling equilibrium degree of copolymers was very low in acidic medium, which could avoid drug releasing due to biggish swelling of carder in stomach. Hydrogels would partly swell owing to higher pH value in small intestine. When arrived in colon, hydrogels completely swelled, meanwhile, azoenzymes located would degrade azo-bonds of polymeric network and then drug released in colon.

Tension and Thickness control Strategy Analysis of Two Stands Reversible cold Rolling Mill

In order to lucubrate the rolling characteristic of the two stands reversible cold rolling mill and establish the tension and thickness control strategy, the steady-state characteristic simulating program was established using the steady-state continuous rolling theory. The influences of each factor on exit thickness under different tension control methods were analyzed. The results show that, the influence of the entry stand gap on exit thickness is significant and it changes little with different tension control methods. As a result, the entry stand gap can be used as the main control method of exit thickness, whereas rolling speed of any stand and roll gap of the exit stand can be used to adjust the inter-stand tension. The results are beneficial for thickness and tension control of the two stands reversible cold rolling mill.
