LOW POTENTIAL ELECTROPOLYMERIZATION OF ANISOTROPIC CONDUCTIVE POLYTHIOPHENE FILMS AND FABRICATION OF ELECTRICAL DEVICES

The Complexation of thiophene with a Lewis acid with moderate acidity as a solvent, such as BF3-ethyl ether (BFEE) remarkedly lowered the electrochemical polymerization potential. The positively charged metal surface of electrode in the process of electrochemical deposition enhanced the coordination interaction between pi-electrons of thiophene unit and the metal, which makes thiophene rings lie parallel to the surface of electrode, resulting in a highly ordered polymeric structure. Because of the large intra-chain transfer integrals, the transport of charge is believed to be principally along the conjugated chains, which is much greater than the inter-chain hopping. The specific electrical resistance across the polythiophene film thickness is more than 10(4) times than that along the surface plane of the film. In this paper we review the recent development of polymerization technique by low potential electrochemical method performed in our lab and several electrical devices in which the compact polythiophene films, such as anionic and cationic sieves, and laminate film junction of undoped polythiophene derivatives were used.

A versatile DNA recognition system using cadmium sulfide nanoparticles (CdS NPs) as labels was proposed for ultrasensitive detection of specific sequence DNA based on target recycling. This strategy utilized the magnetic particles (MNPs) for the immobilization of linker DNA and CdS NPs and the subsequent target DNA hybridization. Using the unique characteristic of nicking endonuclease for cutting one specific strand of double strand DNA (ds DNA), the linker DNA could be transected and the target DNA could be liberated for re-hybridization and hence the amount of released CdS NPs was enhanced. Due to the advantage of the MNPs and signal amplification from the target recycling, the analyte DNA could be detected by the square-wave stripping voltammetry (SWV) in a wide linear range from 0.4 fM to 100 fM with the detection limit down to 0.08 fM. The proposed DNA detection strategy possesses high sensitivity, satisfactory reproducibility and excellent stability, which might have potential in other DNA biological assays.

Logic coverage criteria have been widely used in the testing of safety-critical *** the past few years,fault-based logic coverage criteria have been studied intensively both in theory and in ***,there is a lack of authentic evidence of the comparison of fault-based logic coverage criteria with other logic coverage criteria,such as branch coverage and modified condition/decision coverage(MC/DC).In this paper,we present a comprehensive empirical study that compares these logic coverage criteria on test case prioritization,which is currently a hot topic in software *** useful conclusions are drawn from our research:(1) Fine-grained coverage criteria are always more effective and efficient.(2) The effectiveness of fault-based logic coverage criteria is not significantly different from that of MC/DC in terms of statistics,but the former is more stable.(3) A random strategy is more effective than branch coverage if a certain number of test cases are redundant.

For communication in extremely noisy environments, close-talking microphone arrays are useful. Differential microphone array systems possessing excellent nearfield directivity and strong farfield-noise reduction capability are very suitable for close-talking situations. In order to improve the focusing effect at the desired bearing in the nearfield, we propose a novel self-steering system of close-talking arrays with the first-order differential sub-arrays in this paper. Calculations of directivity patterns and directivity factors show that when a kind of optimized beamforming technique is adopted even small arrays with a focusing configuration will exhibit a satisfactory nearfield directivity which is electronically steerable within a specific range. The superiority of the proposed array system is verified by experiments with real acoustic data.

Study on lithogeochemistry of Middle Jurassic basalts from southern china represented by the Fankeng basalts from Yongding of Fujian Province

There exists an E-W trending Middle Jurassic volcanic zone in southern china. The Fankeng basalts in the Yongding basin of Fujian Province are considered to be a typical example. The Fankeng basalts have TiO2 contents in the range of 1.92%-3.21%. They are classified as high-Ti basalts. They also have higher total Fe (averaging FeO* = 11.09%). The Middle Jurassic Fankeng basalts from southwestern Fujian have obvious distinctive lithogeochemical features from early Cre- taceous basalts from southeastern coast of china. They have higher HFSE, such as Th, Nb, Ta, Zr and Ti. Their element ratios related with HFSE, such as Zr/Ba, La/Nb, La/Ta ,Zr/Y, Ti/Y, Ba/Nb, K/Ti and Rb/Zr are similar to those of OIB. The most samples have ε Nd(T) of-0.70-0.24, which are near chondrite. Some samples have higher ε Nd(T) of ***, these basaltic magmas might be derived from depleted asthenospheric mantle. The lithogeochemical characteristics of the Fankeng basalts may be caused by interaction between asthenosphere and lithosphere at the time. The (Early-) Middle Jurassic basalts and gabbros from southeastern Hunan, southern Jiangxi and northern Guangdong provinces show similar geochemical features to those of the Fankeng basalts from the Yongding of Fujian. Occurrence of these OIB-type basalts in the area may be regarded as the petrological mark of upwelling of asthenosphere at the time. Upwelling of asthenosphere has led to tectonic extension and the formation of rifted basin in the area.

This paper reports on the recent progress of solar physics research in china's Mainland, mainly focusing on several hot issues, including instrumentations, magnetic field observations and research, solar flares, filaments and their eruptions, coronal mass ejections and related processes, as well as active regions and the corona, small-scale phenomena, solar activity and its predictions. A vision of the future is also described.

The interactions between the new organometallic complexes, ferrocenesubstituted dithioocarborane conjugates （denoted as FcSB1, FcSB2 and FcSBCO） and hemoglobin （Hb） are investigated by electrochemistry, fluorescence and UVvis absorption spectroscopy. The results demonstrate that FcSB1, FcSB2 and FcSBCO can bind to the heme iron center through the replacement of the weakly bound H20/02 in the distal heme pocket of Hb by their sulfur donor atoms, inducing the allosteric change from the R state （oxygenated conformation, relax） to T state （deoxygenated conformation, tense）. The binding affinity is in the order of FcSBCO〉FeSB2〉FeSB1. Moreover, the fluorescence study illustrates that the three ferrocenecarborane conjugates differently affect the quarterly and tertiary structures as well as the polarity in the surrounding of the Trp and Tyr residues in Hb. Typically, FcSB2 mainly induces alterations of the microenvironment around the 1337Trp residue which is located on the cql32 interface of Hb. Such distinct influences are attributed to the structural features of FcSB1, FcSB2 and FcSBCO containing hydrophobic ferrocenyl and carboranyl units as well as C=O group. Screening the proteinbinding behavior can signify the potential bioactivity of such molecules and may be helpful in the future development of promising multifunctional metallodrugs.

The title compound crystallized in space goups P2(1)/c with Z=4, in a unit cell of dimensions, a=12.964(4), b=5.131(5), c=14.970(1)Angstrom; V=9331(1) Angstrom(3) Dc=1.429gcm(-3), mu=0.541mm(-1), R=0.045, Rw=0.059. The equilibrium constant of the ligand with CdBr2 was obtained by polarographic method. Crystal structure determination revealed that the molecule is in transconformation and non-hydrogen atoms of the molecule are in one plane except N(3) atom.
