Excess available K and Fe in Fe ore tailings with organic matter amendment and water-deficiencies may restrain plant colonization and growth,which hinders the formation of eco-engineered soil from these tailings for sustainable and cost-effective mine site *** mycorrhizal(AM)fungi are widely demonstrated to assist plant growth under various unfavorable ***,it is still unclear whether AM symbiosis in tailings amended with different types of plant biomass and under different water conditions could overcome the surplus K and Fe stress for plants in Fe ore tailings,and if so,by what ***,host plants(Sorghum *** ***),either colonized or noncolonized by the AM fungi(Glomus spp.),were cultivated in lucerne hay(LH,C:N ratio of 18)-or sugarcane mulch(SM,C:N ratio of 78)-amended Fe ore tailings under well-watered(55%water-holding capacity(WHC)of tailings)or water-deficient(30%WHC of tailings)*** mycorrhizal colonization,plant growth,and mineral elemental uptake and partitioning were *** indicated that AM fungal colonization improved plant growth in tailings amended with plant biomass under water-deficient *** mycorrhizal fungal colonization enhanced plant mineral element uptake,especially P,both in the LH-and SM-amended tailings regardless of water ***,AM symbiosis development restrained the translocation of excess elements(i.e.,K and Fe)from plant roots to shoots,thereby relieving their *** AM fungal roles in P uptake and excess elemental partitioning were greater in LH-amended tailings than in SM-amended *** deficiency weakened AM fungal colonization and functions in terms of mineral element uptake and *** findings highlighted the vital role AM fungi played in regulating plant growth and nutrition status in Fe ore tailings technosol,providing an important basis for involvement of AM fungi in the eco-engineered pedo

针对现有电铲自主装卸功能在料堆重构、环境感知、目标识别等领域存在技术难度的现状,从降低自主装卸作业任务难度的角度出发,本文提出了一种以载荷均衡分布为目标的矿用自卸车斗型优化方法。首先,构建了一种基于差分迭代的装卸后自卸车斗内料堆的轮廓重构方法,并对料堆质心位置进行计算;其次,建立并验证了模拟电铲装卸过程的离散元仿真方法;再次,利用离散元仿真实验,研究了不同斗型结构参数对斗内料堆质心位置的影响;最后,以横向载荷均布为目标,以纵向载荷分布、行驶安全性、斗容变化为约束对斗型进行优化。结果表明:优化后的斗型与原斗型相比,在保持装载能力和行驶安全性的前提下,极端装卸位置时的载荷分布均匀性显著提升,并具有更大的合理装卸面积和更高的作业效率。

This paper studies the business process known as project management. This process has exhibited a remarkable growth in business interest over the last 15 years, as demonstrated by a 1000% increase in membership in the Project Management Institute since 1996. This growth is largely attributable to the emergence of many new diverse business applications that can be successfully managed as projects. The new applications for project management include IT implementations, research and development, new product and service development, corporate change management, and software development. The characteristics of modem projects are typically very different from those of traditional projects such as construction and engineering, which necessitates the development of new project management techniques. We discuss these recent practical developments. The history of project management methodology is reviewed, from CPM and PERT to the influential modem directions of critical chain project management and agile methods. We identify one important application area for future methodological change as new product and service development. A list of specific research topics within project management is discussed. The conclusions suggest the existence of significant research opportunities within project management.

The information extracted from monitoring of rotary blasthole drills helps to optimize the overall mining operation. Rock hardness, drillability, blastability and specific energy of drilling are examples of parameters that have been estimated in the past using measurement while drilling techniques. In order to be able to properly utilize measurement while drilling techniques, it is important to properly collect, analyze and interpret extracted data. This paper deals with processing of measurement while drilling data such as rate of penetration, rotary speed, rotary torque and pulldown force collected from rotary blasthole *** methods are discussed to calculate a true rate of penetration which is the most important monitored drill variable for use in rock mass characterization. Then specific energy of drilling is defined and calculated based on electrical and mechanical inputs and the results are compared. The results show that specific energy of drilling can be estimated using the drill's primary drive systems' electrical responses with good accuracy when compared to values based on mechanical inputs.

This paper presents a survey of image synthesis and editing with Generative Adversarial Networks（GANs）. GANs consist of two deep networks, a generator and a discriminator, which are trained in a competitive way. Due to the power of deep networks and the competitive training manner, GANs are capable of producing reasonable and realistic images, and have shown great capability in many image synthesis and editing *** paper surveys recent GAN papers regarding topics including, but not limited to, texture synthesis, image inpainting, image-to-image translation, and image editing.

Building a Distributed Infrastructure for Scalable Triple Stores

Built specifically for the Semantic Web, triple stores are required to accommodate a large number of RDF triples and remain primarily centralized. As triple stores grow and evolve with time, there is a demanding need for scalable techniques to remove resource and performance bottlenecks in such systems. To this end, we propose a fully decentralized peer-to-peer architecture for large scale triple stores in which triples are maintained by individual stakeholders, and a semantics-directed search protocol, mediated by topology reorganization, for locating triples of interest. We test our design through simulations and the results show anticipated improvements over existing techniques for distributed triple stores. In addition to engineering future large scale triple stores, our work will in particular benefit the federation of stand-alone triple stores of today to achieve desired scalability.

Conventional solid-state nanopore measurements sense all translocating entities,necessitating meticulous analysis to differentiate target *** address this,we have established a selective assay with the platform that has shown utility in quantifying several nucleic acid ***,limited detection efficiency and intrinsic noise have so far limited assay resolution to 10 *** in this value require manipulation of translocation ***,we report the effects of NaCl conditions on assay *** first investigate symmetric conditions,finding sensitivity increases with salt concentration but selectivity is maximized at 1.0 M *** then probe asymmetric conditions,showing a remarkable impact on assay sensitivity and selectivity when measurement buffer NaCl concentration in the reservoir with the translocating molecules is low and the opposite reservoir is *** optimum conditions,we demonstrate detection of target biomolecules down to a concentration of 100 pM which is an improvement of 2 orders of magnitude over past results.

Accurate determination of rock mass properties is a critical part of open-pit mine planning activities to enable more prescriptive blast designs to achieve improved loading and hauling and downstream process efficiency. Better and more accurate blast practice that delivers enhanced outcomes(better fragmentation, improved diggability, less dilution, etc.) is a critical and fundamental element of being able to achieve an effective Mine-Mill approach at a mining operation. Based on previous work, it has been demonstrated that an accurate representation of the rock mass properties can be obtained from the analysis of variations in blasthole drill performance as derived from measurement while drilling(MWD) systems when using tricone bits. This paper further investigates how monitored rate of penetration,pulldown force, rotary torque, rotary speed and bailing air pressure responses can be used to determine the presence of open and partially open fractures having varying dip angles. Based on a correlation of geophysically measured fracture logs and monitored drill performance variables in the same blastholes, the results show that the latter responses can accurately determine open versus closed fractures. The results also identified that variations in rate of penetration and rotary torque show the most sensitivity in the presence of open fractures that intersect a vertical blasthole at near orthogonal angles.

Cooperation and Contract Design in Project Management with Outsourcing

We study a project management problem where the prime contractor needs to outsource tasks to subcontractors with the required *** execution of the project requires proper coordination among the subcontractors,as well as contract design by the prime contractor to incentivize the *** modeling the subcontractors’coordination problem as a cooperative game,we develop a profit sharing scheme to facilitate the subcontractors’*** consider two contract designs for the prime contractor:a uniform contract across all subcontractors,and a nonuniform one that customizes incentives for each *** propose efficient algorithms to solve the implicit optimization problems for optimal contract *** experiments show that the pooling effect of subcontractors’cooperation mitigates the negative impact of poor estimates about the crashing cost and resource *** observe three unexpected results through the randomized computation experiments:(i)the subcontractors’profits may decrease if they provide false information;(ii)it is safer for the prime contractor to overestimate subcontractors’crashing costs than underestimate them;and(iii)uniform contracts deliver more project profit for the subcontractors in the coalitions.
