In this paper we propose an optimized seam-carving approach for anti-shearing image *** image/video seam-carving strategy only focuses on deleting the pixels along 8-connected seams,which may lead to the obvious information loss during *** the traditional seam-carving methods,our approach can construct a seamlet to handle the discontinuous pixels and further achieve an optimized image resizing results with *** particular,to suppress zigzag artifacts,we introduce the anti-shearing energy into the seamlet generation,which includes two steps:1) the energy map is formalized by using Gabor filtering and the saliency map;2. The energy computation is optimized in Gabor feature space to obtain the resizing results without the connectivity *** experimental results and comparisons show the effectiveness of our method.

Self-assembly of peptides into fibrils and other morphologies has attracted much attention inmany fields,especially in nanofabrication,pathology and *** this paper,self-assembly of GAV-9peptide in organic solvents,ethanol and acetone,was investigated using atomic force microscopy(AFM)and attenuated total reflectance-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(ATR-FTIR).The results indicatedthat GAV-9 self-assembled into various nanostructures in both solvents after deposited and evaporated *** with β-sheet conformation were observed in both solvents when the peptide concentrationwas higher than 2.0 μ***,ordered fibrils with β-sheet conformation were formed in ethanol,butnot in acetone,with a peptide concentration ranging from 7 μM to 2. μ*** attribute the formation ofvarious nanostructures to the different physicochemical properties of the polar organic solvents on the self-assembly of GAV-9 peptide.

The surface quality of fine-grained ZrO2.engineering ceramic were researched using 2.0# diamond wheel both with and without work-piece two-dimension ultrasonic vibration grinding（WTDUVG）. By AFM images, the surface topography and the micro structure of the two-dimensional ultrasonic vibration grinding ceramics were especially analyzed. The experimental results indicate that the surface roughness is related to grinding vibration mode and the material removal mechanism. Surface quality of WTDUVG is superior to that of conventional grinding, and it is easy for two-dimensional ultrasonic vibration grinding that material removal mechanism is ductile mode grinding.

Aim:To study whether gum mastic,a natural resin,can regulate maspin expres-sion in prostate cancer cells,and further investigate the mechanisms involved inthis regulatory ***:RT-PCR and Western blotting were used todetect maspin expression at the transcriptional and translational *** assay was used to investigate the effect of gum mastic on the maspin *** binding activity of negative androgen-responsive element (ARE) and posi-tive Spl element in the maspin promoter were studied by electrophoretic mobilityshift ***:Gum mastic induced maspin mRNA and protein expression,and the maspin promoter activity was enhanced with gum mastic ***,gum mastic inhibited the ARE binding activity and increased the Sp 1 bindingactivity in the maspin ***:Gum mastic enhances maspin pro-moter activity by suppressing ARE binding activity and enhancing Spl bindingactivity,and the increased activity in the maspin promoter finally leads to the up-regulation of both its mRNA and protein levels.

Transcription regulation is one of the most critical pipelines in biological process,in which cis-elements play the role as gene expression *** attempt to deduce the principles underlying the co-expression of "head-to-head" gene pairs by analyzing activities or behaviors of the shared cis-elements.A network component analysis was performed to estimate the impact of cis-elements on gene promoters and their activities under different *** discoveries reveal how biological system uses those regulatory elements to control the expression pattern of "head-to-head" gene pairs and the whole transcription regulation system.

This paper is devoted to proving the sharpness on the lower bound of the lifespan of classical solutions to general nonlinear wave equations with small initial data in the case n = 2.and cubic nonlinearity （see the results of T. T. Li and Y. M. Chen in 1992.. For this purpose, the authors consider the following Cauchy problem： { where □=δt^2.∑i=1n δx^^2. is the wave operator, g（x）（≡/） 0 is a smooth non-negative function with compact support, and ε 〉 0 is a small parameter. It is shown that the solution blows up in a finite time, and the lifespan T（ε） of solutions has an upper bound T（ε） ≤ exp（Aε-2. with a positive constant A independent of ε, which belongs to the same kind of the lower bound of the lifespan.

The electrochemical mechanism of the reaction between Fe-C melts and CaO-SiO2.Al2.3-FeOx slag systems has been carried out. The experimental results suggest that the final content of carbon in melt increases as the partial oxygen pressure of gas decreases no matter whether there is electronic conductor or not. However, the final content of carbon in the system with electronic conductor is much lower than that without electronic conductor. It can be deduced that the transfer ability of oxygen in slag is dominated by electrons. When an electronic conductor exists, an easy pathway for the electrons is provided and the oxygen transfer rate is accelerated.

The natural filtration of the infinite-dimensional Hamiltonian Lie superalgebra over a field of positive characteristic is proved to be invariant under automorphisms by characterizing ad-nilpotent *** are thereby able to obtain an intrinsic characterization of the Hamiltonian Lie superalgebra and establish a property of the automorphisms of the Lie superalgebra.

In this paper, a new ergodic property analysis model of hydrological process is proposed based on fuzzy-rough c-means clustering (FRCM), autocorrelogram, and fuzzy least absolute regression (FLAR). A precipitation time series (1951―2.04) from shanghai Hydrology Station is then analyzed with the model. The results show that the precipitation time series of April, May, June, and September has er-godic property. We conclude that in the long run, the precipitation of April, May, June, and September will not keep decreasing; it will converge to its mean value in some period.
