Alternative versions of the ZM model are extended to asymmetric nuclear matter by including p meson degree of freedom in the Lagrangian. The extended models are then used to study the thermodynamical properties of asymmetric nuclear matter at finite temperature. The critical temperature for a liquid- gas phase transition in nuclear matter and its dependence on asymmetry parameter are calculated. The limiting temperature Tlim, which reflects Coulomb instability of hot nuclei, is studied. The calculated results are compared with that given by the original ZM model.

Hybridoma cells display an increase in antibody productivity following exposure to hypertonic ***,the underlying mechanism is not well *** the present study,we hypothesize that the nuclear factor of activatedT cells 5(NFAT5)/tonicity enhancer binding protein(TonEBP)functions to increase the antibody productivity of hybrid-oma ***5 is an osmosensitive mammalian transcription ***,its ubiquitous expression in variousorgans that are not bathed in hypertonic milieu suggests that NFAT5 may also regulate cell growth and function underisotonic *** this study,we examined the expression of NFAT5 in hybridoma cells by Western blot analysis,and found that it increased significantly in hypertonic *** further define the function of NFAT5 in hybridomacells,RNA interference technique was used to downregulate the expression of NFAT5 in SGB-8 cells(a hybridoma cellline).In isotonic medium,antibody productivity of hybridoma cells was reduced by downregulation of NFAT5 while cellproliferation was not *** results presented here demonstrate that NFAT5 not only plays an important role inosmotic stress response pathway in hybridoma cells but also is essential for optimal antibody productivity.

Under 5 keV Ar ion bombardment of a 92Mo-1.0Mo target, we have investigated isotopic angular effects by means of the static and the dynamic Monte Carlo programs. Our calculated results are in quantitative agreement with the measured and other calculated results. The conclusion consistences among theories. simulations and measurements are also discussed.

The projected shell model is applied to the nucleus 1.9La. The present results of theoretical calculations about the one-quasiproton bands are compared with experimental data. The agreement with both the yrast πh1./2 band πg7/2 band is satisfactory. We also assign the πg7/2 [νh1./2]2 configuration with an oblate shape for one of bands in 1.9La.

We briefly reviewed the experimental study on a-delayed proton decays near the proton drip line published by our group during the period of 1.96―2004, namely the first observation of the a-delayed proton decays of 9 new nuclides in the rare-earth region and the new measurements of a-delayed proton decays of 5 nuclides in the mass ～90 region near the N = Z line with the aid of the “p-?” coincidence in combination with a He-jet tape transport system. In the meantime some important experimental technique details were supplemented. The experimental results, including the half -lives, spins, parities, deformations and production reaction cross sections for the 1. nuclei were summarized and compared with the current nuclear-model predictions, and then the following points were represented. (1. The experimental half-lives for 85Mo and 92Rh as well as the predicted “waiting point” nuclei 89Ru and 93Pd are 5―1. times longer than the theoretical predictions given by M?ller et al. using a macroscopic-microscopic model. It considerably influences the predictions of the abundances of the nuclides produced in the rp-process. (2) The current-model predictions are not consistent with the experimental assignments of the spins and parities for the proton drip-line nuclei 1.2Ho and 1.8Pm. However, the nuclear potential energy surface (PES) calculated by using a Woods- Saxon-Strutinsky method reproduced the experimental results. (3) The Alice code overestimated the production reaction cross sections of the studied 9 rare-earth nuclei by one order of magnitude or two, while HIVAP code overestimated them by one order of magnitude approximately.

The BMPPT (4-benzoyl-2,4-dihydro-5-methyl-2-phenyl-3H-pyrazol-3-thione)was synthesized from BMPP. Its m.p. is 1.6-1.8℃. The results of the element analysis are as follows: C, 68.51., H, 4.51., N, 9.26%, S, 1..47%, which are in conformity with the theoretical value (C, 69.1.%, H, 4.76%, N, 9.52%, S, 1..90%). The solvent extraction of Th4+ from nitric acid solution by BMPPT in benzene was studied. The extraction ability of BMPPT is not so high as that of its parent (BMPP). The Th4+ distribution ratio (DTh) increases with the increasing pH of the aqueous phase, and pH1.2 for Th4+ was 3.2 ([BMPPT]=0.1. mol/L). When the pH increases, the distribution ratio of Th4+ increases linearly with the slope of 1..59. When the concentration of BMPPT increases, the distribution ratio of Th4+ increases rapidly. The lgDTh-lg[BMPPT] is linear with the slope of 1.42 and the extraction mechanism is the cation ion-exchange.
