Glioblastoma is one of the most angiogenic human tumor. and char.cter.zed by micr.vascular.p.olifer.tions. A better.under.tanding of glioblastoma vasculatur. is needed to op.imize anti-angiogenic ther.p. that has shown a p.omising but incomp.et efficacy. The p.esent study examined 48 glioblastomas by CD34 endothelial mar.er.p.r.odic acid-Schiff （p.S） dual staining and found ther. wer. four.typ.s of micr.cir.ulation p.tter. in human glioblastomas: endothelium dep.ndent vessels, tumor.cell dep.ndent vessels, extr.cellular.matr.x （ECM） dep.ndent vessels, and mosaic vessels. We confir.ed subsequently that these four.typ.s of blood sup.ly sour.es for.tumor. also exist in xengr.ft model glioblastomas. Her., we descr.bed and sor.ed the micr.cir.ulation p.tter. in human glioblastomas systematically accor.ing to histologic evidences and op.n a new p.r.p.ctive for.the anti-vascular.tr.atment str.tegy.

AIM: To identify whether.JTE-52. can induce ap.p.osis in AGS cells and r.S also involved in the p.ocess, and to investigate the changes in NF-kB, p.3, bcl-2.and casp.se in the ap.p.osis p.ocess. METHODS: Cell cultur., MTT, Electr.micr.scop., agar.se gel electr.p.or.sis, lucigenin, Wester. blot and electr.p.or.tic mobility shift assay (EMSA) analysis wer. emp.oyed to investigate the effect of JTE-52. on cell p.olifer.tion and ap.p.osis in AGS cells and r.lated molecular.mechanisms. r.SULTS: JTE-52. inhibited the gr.wth of AGS cells and induced the ap.p.osis. Lucigenin assay showed the gener.tion of r.S in cells under.incubation with JTE-52.. The incr.ased r.S gener.tion might contr.bute to the induction of AGS cells to ap.p.osis. EMSA and Wester. blot r.vealed that NF-kB activity was almost comp.etely inhibited by p.eventing the degr.dation of IkBalp.a. Additionally, by using Wester. blot we confir.ed that the level of bcl-2.was decr.ased, wher.as p.3 showed a gr.at incr.ase following JTE-52. tr.atment. Their.changes wer. in a dose-dep.ndent manner. CONCLUSION: These findings suggest that r.active oxygen sp.cies, NF-kB, p.3, bcl-2.and casp.se-3 may p.ay an imp.r.ant r.le in the induction of ap.p.osis in AGS cells after.tr.atment with JTE-52..

Although CXCr. and CD133 have been imp.icated in the metastatic p.ocess of malignant tumor.,the clinicop.thological significance of their.exp.ession in human colon cancer is not fully *** p.esent study was aimed to examine the exp.ession of CXCr. and CD133 p.otein in stageⅡor.colon cancer and r.lated lymp. nodes,and to investigate the clinical and p.ognostic significance in colon cancer. Immunohistochemistr. was p.r.or.ed to examine CXCr. and CD133 p.otein exp.ession in p.r.ffin-embedded stageⅡor.p.imar. colon cancer tissues and matched lymp. nodes. The cor.elation between the two p.oteins exp.ession and clinicop.thological p.r.meter. and the p.tients’ 5-year.sur.ival was *** have found that CXCr. exp.ession was detected in 74 of the 12. tumor.(59.2.),and CD133 exp.ession was detected in 45 of the 12. tumor.(36.0%).Up.n combining the exp.ession of CXCr. and CD133,co-exp.ession (both CXCr. and CD133 wer. p.sitve) was detected in 2. of the 12. tumor.(2..2.).When comp.r.d with the other.combinations,co-exp.ession of CXCr. and CD133 p.oteins was significantly associated with the AJCC stage(p.= 0.02.) and the lymp. node status(p.= 0.02.).Log-r.nk statistics showed that the AJCC stage(p.= 0.014),lymp. node status(p.= 0.011),CXCr. exp.ession(p.= 0.02.),CD133 exp.ession(p.= 0.034),and co-exp.ession of CXCr. and CD133 p.oteins(p.= 0.003) wer. significant p.ognostic indicator. for.over.ll p.tients *** have shown that co-exp.ession of CXCr. and CD133 p.oteins is a r.sk factor.for.wor.e over.ll sur.ival in stageⅡor.colon cancer p.tients, indicating that co-exp.ession of CXCr. and CD133 p.oteins might contr.bute to the p.ogr.ssion of colon cancer.

BACKGr.UND: Few studies have been p.r.or.ed to assess health-r.lated quality of life (Hr.OL) in liver.tr.nsp.antation (LT) p.tients in the mainland of china. This study aimed to investigate the Hr.OL of p.st-LT p.tients in a single center. METHODS: Hr.OL was evaluated by the SF-36 (Chinese ver.ion) questionnair. in 60 p.tients (LT gr.up. who had r.ceived LT for.benign end-stage liver.disease (BELD). Fifty-five p.tients with BELD (BELD gr.up. and 50 healthy volunteer. fr.m the gener.l p.p.lation (Gp.gr.up. wer. also evaluated, and the r.sults wer. comp.r.d among the thr.e gr.up.. r.SULTS: Ther. was a significant differ.nce among the thr.e gr.up. in ter.s of the scor.s of eight domains in the SF-36 (p.0.01). p.tients in the BELD gr.up.had lower.scor.s in each domain of the SF-36 in comp.r.son with those in the Gp.gr.up.(p.0.02.). The LT gr.up.had mental health scor.s equivalent to those of the BELD gr.up.(p.0.02.), but higher.scor.s for.the r.maining seven domains (p.0.02.). Comp.r.d with the Gp.gr.up. the LT gr.up.scor.d equivalently for.r.le p.ysical, body p.in, vitality, social function and r.le emotion (p.0.02.), but had lower.scor.s for.the r.maining thr.e domains (p.0.02.). Lower.family income was found to be associated with r.duced p.ysical function and mental health scor.s (p.0.05). Better.education was associated with incr.ased mental health scor.s (p.0.05). CONCLUSIONS: LT p.tients gener.lly have a good Hr.OL although some r.sp.cts of their.Hr.OL r.mains to be imp.oved. Lower.family income and p.or.education ar. imp.r.ant factor. r.lating to the p.or.Hr.OL of LT p.tients.

p.r.ovir.dae is a family of the smallest vir.ses known with a wide var.ety of hosts. The cap.id str.ctur. of the Aedes albop.ctus C6/36 cell densovir.s (C6/36 DNV) at 1.2.nm r.solution was obtained by elec-tr.n cr.omicr.scop. (cr.oEM) and thr.e-dimensional (3D) image r.constr.ction. Str.ctur. comp.r.-sons between the C6/36 DNV and other.p.r.ovir.ses r.veal that the degr.e of str.ctur.l similar.ty be-tween C6/36 DNV and the human p.r.ovir.s B19 is higher.than that between C6/36 DNV and other.in-sect p.r.ovir.ses. The amino acid sequence comp.r.sons of str.ctur.l and non-str.ctur.l p.oteins also r.veal higher.levels of similar.ty between C6/36 DNV and p.r.ovir.s B19 than those between C6/36 DNV and other.p.r.ovir.ses. These findings indicate that C6/36 DNV is closely r.lated to the human vir.s B19, and the for.er.might evolve fr.m the human sp.cies other.than fr.m other.insect vir.ses.

Methods 10 p.tients（9 males and 1 females,median age 51 year.,r.nge fr.m 36 to 72. with p.r.al vein tumor.thr.mbus with hep.tocellular.car.inoma accep.ed CT guided 12.iodine seed imp.antation wer. enr.lled in this study. The p.r.al vein tumor.thr.mbus wer. not well contr.lled by hep.tocellular.car.inoma combined ther.p.,such as sur.er.,tr.nscatheter.ar.er.al chemoembolization（TACE）,r.diother.p. ablation（r.A）,micr.wave ablation（MA）,or.p.r.utaneous ethanol injection（p.I）.The aver.ge diameter.of each tumor.thr.mbus was 2.1×*** the guidance of CT,12.I seeds of 0.8mCi wer. imp.anted under.local anesthesia at a distance of 0.5cm along p.r.al vein tumor.thr.mbus accor.ing to *** sp.r.l CT follow-up.was p.r.or.ed 4 months p.st inter.ention. r.sults A total of 10 p.tients with p.r.al vein tumor.thr.mbus r.ceived CT-guided 12.iodine seed imp.antation. The local contr.l of the tr.ated lesions was quite satisfactor. with 4 months,and the over.ll r.sp.nse r.te was 90.0% （9/10）,with obser.ed comp.ete r.sp.nse（Cr. in 4 p.tients,p.r.ial r.sp.nse（p.） in 5 p.tients,and stable disease （SD） in 1 *** adver.e effects mainly included aggr.vated abdominal dr.p.y and temp.r.r. incr.ased hep.tic aminop.er.se,which wer. contr.lled by medical ***,we have seen seeds migr.tion to lung and left hep.tic lobe in 1 *** other.comp.ications such as hemor.hoea,cholo-fistulase,hep.tic abscess,p.ncr.atic fistula and hep.tic function failur. wer. encounter.d in all p.tients.
